Ok please explain why when whales sell people say that’s what caused the dip/ crash but when they buy to the same degree why don’t we see price appreciate as much as
When whales sell, retail gets scared, thinks the worst and they sell too. Then smart money buys back in at those lower prices. As for the upside, if the price jumps up, some people will take profits which can suppress the upward appreciation speed. Just markets being markets.
@@kiwicam6419 how does retail find out that whales are even selling? And are you saying it’s retail that’s causing the dips? And if you’re saying it’s not the whales but both whales and retail together and not the whales alone then why would retail sell if the whales alone aren’t causing a dip in the first place?
I don’t really think the vast majority of retail know what big institutions are doing anyway
@@scottdavies6636 If I sell, the price doesn't move. If a whale sells, the price potentially takes a big hit - that's one way to know. Retail don't usually want to sell en masse unless they think they need to due to extreme FUD of price plummeting and they get scared. Whales and market makers could wait for a big FUD announcement and dump into it. Retail sees the price drop and sees the FUD, gets scared and bails out at a lower price because they were not first to do so. Retail thinks price is going lower. Potentially the whales can buy back in at a lower price and cause the prices to spike back up sharply causing retail to fomo back in. It's all a game of emotion with some fundamentals thrown in. There are many many variables that influence a market, so this is not the only reason.
@@scottdavies6636Google. You have to have charts to see it, and follow such things. Usually after the fact. It’s not as if you will see it in real time. There are people that follow Whale wallets. If you watch certain metrics you can notice certain trends but again it is after the fact.
@@scottdavies6636otc markets dont effect the charts we see on the upnside as much as it does on the down side because retail sells to exchanges not to otc but i think there is still some manipulation as to what is shown in the charts and all wallets on the chain can be seen moving btc around what data gets released or what if found is more of some looking for it tracking it and we can do the same i figure just buy what and when u can keep most on hd wellet and in a crypto trust in a company name protected and not in your name if you can buy it as a company or in company name too imo dont worry about day to day price
