    I just got some of this and love it. Just wanted to let you know that you can also color with mica powder before adding water . Works great just mix the mica powder with the plaster well and add your water

    I use Plaster of Paris, and mix the water with white school glue. You have to add less glue than you would think, and put windex in the mold to release any air bubbles!

    Remember to wear gloves when working with plaster. Also note the dust is not good to breath so a dust mask may be advisable.

    Have you ever tried putting anything on finished pieces to keep them from breaking? I love the idea of adding some to my mosaics but I worry they will crack easy

    If you buy your epoxy resin at US composites, it is cheaper and doesn't have a strong odor. Just a pro tip.

    if i wanted to make a dragonball(from the show dragonball) with art plaster then which type of paint should i use cuz its translucent in the anime

    • @TheKetocooking
      @TheKetocooking 7 лет назад

      the dragonballs are kind of see through, so art plaster wouldnt really work because its alwas going to be just white. but resin, or something liket aht would work.

      Funny you asked. I'm making molds right now and will do a video shortly on the new product I'm using. i found a recipe on youtube making a silicone puddy for molds and it worked the first time but i couldn't get it right the other day so i found a new product. If you want a DIY recipe Search youtube the recipe involved 100 percent silicone, cornstarch, mineral oil and acrylic paint. I also used easy mold by castin craft. But if you wait a couple of days I have a product that is great. Like I said i'm using it now and i'm getting really good results. Thanks for watching.

      biblescraps wow, corsntarch, mineral oil and acrylic paint? hmmm thats cool. ok ill wait for it, please do give me a message here so that i could watch it when its done. Im planning to make a two piece mold for a figure that ill be making... So with this recipe as a mold and the art plaster . This combination might work. I hope it does. thanks again and Godbless. Im a toy maker but this is my first time using molds, what i mean about toy making is i recycled use toys and make them better or customized them for short. So ill venture something like what you did and try my luck. :)

      Mardonio Herrera jr. check out this video for a tutorial using those ingredients. But the product I'm using now I think will be much better for your toy making. It's a lot easier and you get better detail. Nevertheless try that recipe and see if it works and let me know. I will let you know when I post the video on the other product i'm using. I'm interested in your creations so please send me a link. God bless you too...
