I've been meaning to get plaster for ages, but never seem to get there, and once again I wonder, why. I love these, and you can do so many different things with clocks. I used to take porcelain painting classes as a pre-teen (in the early 90s 😳), and I made a clock, which ended up being my best creation on those classes. I've had it on my wall through all these years, and for the past decade or so, I've waited for it to break so I could make something new, because I like it too much to just get rid of it. I should probably start making clocks for other people then, I have a million ideas.
Awesome clocks!! That gives me so many ideas 💡💡 I would not have thought to put the clock into another mold. Love the glitter look because I'm a glitter, glitter, glitter person too. Stay safe, you do you, and stay crafty 👍👍🛎️🛎️🦋🦋
Hi Steve, you’ve taught me so much I just wanted to say thank you! THANK YOU! I love the clocks and everything you make. First thing in the morning I watch UTube and there you are all happy. I enjoy your honesty. Also I love your videos.
I always love your creativity - thanks for the video! When you used that wood bit to try to countersink the hole I knew it wasn't going to end well, so I wasn't too surprised by the abrupt edit🤣. For materials like this you can get proper countersink bits from Aliexpress really cheaply.
Hi Steve. Once again, this is a great experiment. I know that I won't be venturing in this area, but both clocks look great. I too just love your videos. You inspire me so much to be creative. I have an idea in my head for jewelry that'll be different from anyone else's, because I've heard you say that more than once; so that your jewelry stands out; I thank you for that. Keep up the good work and keep having fun, for that's the feeling that you give me.
I'm not normally a green person but i love the lime green one! I like this idea, saves you resin and you can paint it any colour. Definitely trying this! X
clever stuff. the problem I usually have with clocks is fitting the mechanism. the hole never seems quite big enough, or the spindle isn't long enough . Resin or plaster seems to be a little thick once it's strong enough
Hi Steve I'm fairly new to the channel but I have enjoyed all the time you spent showing us ( the viewers) what works best I'm a crafter of resin paper clay etc I'm finding space very hard to get The idea I had was to sell my stuff but I don't have the courage to do it Crafting is everything to me So thank you for the videos you have shared God bless
Absolutely love them. I think this might be my next project to do. Right now I'm starting to make a candle lantern holder with paint sticks. I love watching all your videos to get new ideas. Thank you so much Steve! 😊😊😊
As for brushes and resin: I've got the tip, that you store your brushes after use in a container with alcohol, so that the bristles are covered, until you use on of the brushes and then store it the same way again. I never tried it, but it should work. If it also works with UV resin I don't know.
I have a plaster pregnancy belly cast that I’ve wanted to cover in resin because I feel like it’s so vulnerable. What’s the best way to seal that before applying resin? Thanks
The JDiction resin is great for what you use it for as well as for doming…. BUT… and this is a big BUT… it will go bendy after curing if you use pigments in it… and I’m not talking about mica powders or opaques or even alcohol ink… I use pigments that are designed for UV Resin… even the ones that come with the JDiction starter kit will make that resin bendy after curing,,, it drive new bonkers! I have been working with a person at JDiction trying to figure out why this is happening…I can get it to cure rock hard when it is in its natural state using the proper UV lights, torches and natural sunlight… but if I use any type of pigment in it, just a drop, curing in layers, afterwards, it cures as if it were a soft type resin… it is t sticky or tacky either..l but it is soft and will bend…. If I cover it with a layer of clear resin, THEN it will cure rock hard… It is driving me nuts and apparently it is a problem that others have brought to their attention as well… so far, I have been sent 3 different bottles of their UV Resin in different sizes… the bottle in the 100g weight, it cures fine with transparent pigment… no problems… but the bottles in the 500g are not curing with transparent pigments…they have been from different batches too… so, if you use uv resin with the transparent pigments for jewelry like I do, I prefer the "Let's Resin" brand… it has never cured wrong with or without pigments…
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's had issues with JDiction UV. I've tried a few different bottles, but it will never cure for me with even small amounts of pigment added. Thanks for letting me know I'm not doing something wrong! :D
@@wipjenni nope, you not the only one! I use …Let's Resin for my UV .resin.., I love it… I won’t ever buy another bottle of JDiction uv resin…. Their 2 part resins are awesome… but they need to really work on their uv resin,,,
Steve not sure if you can help. I just got the new aqua cast. I made a coaster with aqua cast then put guiding flakes in n top followed by a thin layer of resin. I was sorting out and after about 15 mins the coaster burst into flames giving off nasty fumes and turning the resin into tar. I’m glad I did not leave the room. Anyone any idea why this happened. Lucky I had my breathing mask on.
Has nothing to do with the this instructional video. I would like to know if you could show how to make a mold using a acrylic blank. If you have done this could you send a link? Thanks
I tried doing this but instead of resin, it was cement. Two words: THERMAL RUNAWAY! Oh my gosh it was so bad when mixed together, casting with one allowing to cure then adding the other it can work, but my plaster of Paris is super weak, so it doesn’t hold together very well.
Why don’t you thank your subscribers for keeping you going? It’s not just people who sends you money or buys you “coffee” that keeps your channel going. If it wasn’t for subscribers RUclips wouldn’t pay you. Just saying
Your giggle is the best!!!! Thank you for all these great videos!

I just did this the other day with a mushroom jar mold. I absolutely LOVE IT. I also absolutely LOVE LOVE your channels💜🎣
Thanks!

The gold one I really like. I never thought about putting the clock mold inside of another mold. I like the look of that.
Great video, Steve❣️ You are so helpful! Thank You ❤
Danke!
I really like how you come up with different ideas. You have given me another way on how to make a clock.

They have food safe resin. They make it for countertops and dental composites.
Brilliant idea. I've so got to try this.
Hi Steve, Super cool well having one of your clocks will most Certainly make sure you will never be late again 🙂👍 Lin
They are really pretty and thanks for adding pricing, it always helps.

Thank you 💕 I was thinking about making a new clock for my kitchen. Those turned out lovely!
Wonderful Great Clocks tyfs!❤😁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Steve thanks for the great videos. I've learned quite a lot including my new addiction to JDiction resin!
I love your clocks…beautiful
They are beautiful I love them
Great idea and the clocks are so beautiful !!!

Very nice, good job Steve x
Those are really great! I love the one on the cutting board! I'm a big fan of sparkly, too!
Great idea for Men’s Christmas gifts 😃 thank you xx
These turned out great! I am interested in trying this out. Thank you Steve 😊!!! A pleasure as always 😀!
Nice video Steve, does that work for plaster of Paris too ?
Thank you for doing this video, really answered my question ❤️
Brilliant thank you Steve I wouldn’t have ever thought of doing that. I may try it with metallic paints Iv got clock faces but used them.
I love the clocks u do
I have put plaster of paris and portland cement *in* resin, instead of water, and gotten some fun results.
Steve I use a cake mould for my clocks the fit in great

Very nice job 👍
Hi Steve, have you thought of using fimo clay? I’m wondering how it would be possible to do it.

Pva glue with some water in. A few coats should do it.
@@punklockets1563 thank you
Awesome 👌 👏 👍
I think the aller one is easier to read. however the larger one has the size for more decorative ideas.
I do paint 3d printed items with uv resin and that smooths out surface. I did it mostly so my molds will not have 3d print lines in them
Love them!
Love theses!

Could I use jesmonite??
That's alot of work, and resin for 25 pounds. I love them!
The big clock looks like an eyeball and the smaller one like a vinyl record.

You only thank your members uts not only them that keep your channel going
Very Bet Lynch. Guidelines restrict my actual opinion.
by painting them you sealed them so it's not a "TRUE" experiment of putting plaster casts in reason! I want to see BARE plaster put in resin

Are you really so entitled? The Man can thank who he likes.
He is always saying how he appreciates everyone who gives him coffee & who are members! 🙄.
And thanks for subscribing. You need to watch his video about why he almost quit making these videos.
@@dpro7445 yeah but not his subscribers. At the end of the day, it’s the subscribers who are getting him where he wants to be
