I think this sounds like a great additive to resin. I'm always wanting to make larger projects, but my frugal heart cries for the cost of resin. Cement and plaster of paris are much more affordable. And the stony look is pretty stylish. I hope you remember to take it easy while your ribs and wrist heal. And have someone else do the climbing in the future!
Those hearts are so cute! I'm going to have to make some of those for Christmas or Valentine's day! You didn't really give us a good look at them when they were done, but I could tell they turned out great! So sorry to hear about your mishap, and I hope you heal quickly, without too much pain. Thanks again for the wonderful craft!
Oh my goodness I fell off a ladder and broke two ribs my goodness thank goodness ur ok and yet ur sure don’t sound like anything happened still sound so up beat and happy
Oh no!! Another one of your great ideas I need to try out. The list is getting longer and longer. 😂 Thank you so much for including links to Amazon Australia.
Being originally from Michigan, I saw your post and was like " oh dear lord Steve, dont put Pop in your resin" lol (Pop=soda) then it clicked.... plaster of paris (I'm a bit slow sometimes lol)
A bit pricier and harder to find, but white cement would allow any coloring to come out better. And a suggestion, if I may. When eliminating the lumps from your dry ingredients, run them through a flour sieve or sifter. Any lumps left in the sieve can be pushed through the screen and broken up.
Nice! I want to use cement in my goddess & man torso molds! And u gave me great ideas for all the hearts and round pieces that I always have from leftover resin I use alcohol inks in. Thx!! 💜💙
Great ideas as always Steve. I have a very exciting mould I'd like some advice on how to create a marble effect on but with some metallic highlights. Would you recommend marble powder and perhaps painting the mould with a metallic pen?
How do you think this would work in larger pours? I have a plant pot mold with walls about 3/4" thick and 4" deep that I'd love this look for, but I'm a bit concerned it would get too hot😅
Please help!!!! I’m trying and have been trying to become a member, but the link listed does not take you to it?? I just get a white screen!! Please advise what to do. Thanks
Very interesting to see this outcome. I don't always like your colour mixtures, but I know you can't actually see them :) I can easily imagine you falling off a ladder, you probably go at it just like you do crafting. Sorry you got hurt, but it is kinda funny to imagine it. Please keep making more videos.
While I love the use of various stone materials in the statue molds, I don't really like it here- I guess I don't like "A heart of stone" as the song says. I DO love the mold, and the possibilities of making translucent double hearts, perhaps with something enclosed like a charm, photo or vinyl printed sticker in the center.
Have you done expiriments with corn starch? I am sure there is a better way to do it, but we used to make a deep hand print in cornstarch and pour liquid sugar in and end up with hand lollies. You could probably make a hand mold easier with silicon, but honestly every time I have tried to make a hand print hold it came out awful (even trying to just make hand prints in cement or plaster of paris....) The cornstartch ALWAYS worked though

What a fun way to create a stone look and have more usage with less resin. Brilliant!
Wishing you fast healing from your mishap & thanks so much for yet another good test of ways to do variations with resin. Nice!
I hope you heal quickly! I'm surprised that you're still doing videos after that and still seem to be in good spirits
Well done! That opens up a whole other avenue to explore further! THANK YOU
You've done it again!!! I love new ideas for ways to use the bits that I have tucked away....
Glad you are doing so much better ;)) ringy-dingy🔔🔔🦋🦋

Thanks for sharing. Hope you feel better soon and heal very quickly!
I love it. I'm in America. Thank you for sharing ur ideas.
I think that you have done it again. Brilliant!!! I do miss you saying to ring your bell in different ways.
Thanks for the trial. Glad to see your attempts.
Thanks for the Canadian links
Oh my goodness I fell off a ladder and broke two ribs my goodness thank goodness ur ok and yet ur sure don’t sound like anything happened still sound so up beat and happy
Thanks for this great experiment.. needed to find out the results for both cement and plaster. X
That’s so beautiful! Great idea for tree decorations
Wow, those turned out beautiful! Always love and appreciate your ideas!
I love the look! I just ordered some plaster of Paris while restocking my costume crafts stuff, I may need to experiment with a bit of it in resin!
I hope you feel better from your injuries soon. 😊
Oh no!! Another one of your great ideas I need to try out. The list is getting longer and longer. 😂 Thank you so much for including links to Amazon Australia.
So sorry you got hurt, hope you will feel all better ASAP.
They are lovely Steve 😍 👌
They look great.
Great for keychains. I will try it in the alphabet molds. 👍🏽

I'm from Michigan too, and thought the same thing!😆😂🤣
Love the stone effect! ❤️
Take it easy Steve, sorry to hear about your fall.💐
Thanks for the Aussie links. It’s hard sometimes to find what you use 💚 Great and interesting results.
I have that exact same hearts mould 💕💕💕
These are super cute 😍

👏👏👏 I love your experiments and this one is genius !
I love your ongoing experiments. I just received some aluminum powder I ordered due to you. Great stuff!
That was very cool
You can color your pearls and clear stones with an alcohol marker if you dont have the color you want. Love the stone look💞
Do you have to be a member or a patreon to get an answer to a question ?
Love the hearts without the embellishments
Can you enhance polyester resin to behave like epoxy resin or better?
I wish you could do links for Sweden 🇸🇪 as well
Hello and happy holidays to you. I need help with my Chess set molds. Can you do a video on mixing resin and cement to make a good strong chess piece
Love them x
In Christmas colors - those would make cool Tree Ornaments. Good job Steve - A/K/A "the mad scientist"
LOL

Wow they look good! But the edge would bug me lol 🤦🏻♀️🥰
You need those glasses that let you see color. Have you ever used the glasses?
Hi Steve,
Where do you get the stick on gems & pearls?
Love your channels. 😊
How do you think this would work in larger pours? I have a plant pot mold with walls about 3/4" thick and 4" deep that I'd love this look for, but I'm a bit concerned it would get too hot😅
Could you do this with any resin brand?
Thank u for testing cement and plaster. I was thinking of doing this and now I dont have to! I dont care for the look actually.
Please help!!!! I’m trying and have been trying to become a member, but the link listed does not take you to it?? I just get a white screen!! Please advise what to do. Thanks
So interesting
I live in Lowell Massachusetts
Can you use cement alone Steve?
Sounds painful I hope you heal quickly. Does it matter how much cement you add to resin

00:15 Ooh, UK seems to be going fancy and draw lines to the old colonies...where is India by the way? ;-) I'm kidding...
Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list. In some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.
How does this whole process works, I'm interested in investing but still confused by the fluctuations in price
He has really made a good name for himself
You can do better
These are just magnificent....one question tho are they waterproof?
