    Finally a good video of what's inside One of these things! This should help me better understand what's wrong with mine if it breaks. Thanks.

      I think I will try this experiment but only applying voltage to the spinning arm for the snowflake effect. (This one has a gear-driven snowflake arm mechanism, and I have a belt-driven mechanism that might not jam under high voltage)

    Nice to see a full in depth tutorial on how to fix these, also when you do end up making the high voltage video, what do you usually do to these?

      He uses wires directly to the battery and once it fails, he connects direct to motor.

    Btw the max voltage adapter for the spinning snowflake snowman is 12V. But with one of those voltage box thingys, you can break the limit of adapter voltage!

    • @RealEpikCartfrenYT
      @RealEpikCartfrenYT 10 месяцев назад

      Those voltage boxes are actually called a bench power supply and they are really cool things to have because you can set them to give ANY voltage at ANY current

      NEVER use a 12v adapter on ANY Gemmy item. These require a 6v 800mAh adapter.

    Great video but i have to ask you. Didn't the circuit board parts had to be repaired too to make the sound work again with the motors? Like didn't they get overvolted?

    • @brdrechsarchive6945
      @brdrechsarchive6945 9 месяцев назад

      The sound chip fried out and no longer works. Once it hit about 30 volts, the actual programming part died as well.

  • @IDogFan41
    @IDogFan41 10 месяцев назад +2

    Nice fix, but in all seriousness, what point does it make to fix it if you’re just gonna fry it out later lol

    • @highvoltagetoys2nd

    You did ok, but a few things I want to point out is that to fix the hips, all you have to do is bust the zip tie on the bottom, pull the skin up and remove the shafts and legs. You don’t have to completely remove the skin. Then for the spinning arm and the hat, I have a video on my channel of how I do it.

    edit the title and add the word GEMMY which is the brand of it..
    that toy is a very classic collectable that has a full community of it.
    the video will get more attention and appreciation from the GEMMY community if you add that detail..
