I thought that Gemmy products were quite brittle, as I kept seeing footage of them breaking in various ways. However, it's interesting to see that at least electronically they are rather tough. It put up a good fight!

I love the maneki neko cat because he is so cute and I am proud of him for not giving up at 1:41 where he just kept going. That is a super strong kitty right there
I find it interesting how when he did the laughing dog, since they are made by different companies (this one and the one that had previously been overvolted) they had separate reactions, and this guy kept the dog rolling around while being overpowered by fitting the wires through the front of it

Pretty interesting finally seeing one of these on high voltage. Other later models of this snowman have a pulley system on the spinning arm. Those ones flip the snowflakes around like crazy on high voltage and the gears don’t split like the ones with the mechanism of the featured snowman.
Ya! A common problem with the spinning snowflake snowman was the spinning arm going too fast putting too much pressure on the snowflakes causing them to fly off, Happened with my 2 song.

The capacitors or transistors or any of those they actually popped. Why didn’t the others have that when they did that? Why didn’t they did it when the motor broke? The other toys you did earlier they should’ve done what the snowman did. That would’ve been better. The one from the snowman they both went clanging. The others why didn’t they do it? They should’ve done it. I’m just wondering.

The first toy must have blown it's motor control transistor at 6v so the motor didn't stop running. Seems to be fairly common on sound chips that withstand 7v to play the music all fast as the chip slowly gets roasted. Funny when left at 20v how it went slow, took lots of current, popped a capacitor, went all fast again and mashed it's gearbox. I fell off my seat laughing when you opened the money box and it was full of magic smoke.

The 02 gear driven mechs easily break. The 9 tooth has lots of strain, the 03 and up models have a belt pulley system that is much more reliable.
