I'm in my 60's and have tinnitus. I go for amps that sound good at low volume. If your ears are ringing, be careful with the volume as it will lead to hearing problems later in life.
The way I see it, the base and treble are situated in such a way to indicate where they sit in the signal path of the amp. I think orange tone stacks are interactive in that the bass, then mid, influence how the treble shapes your sound.
Good point. Someone told me that before but I totally forgot. Haven’t actually played with the eq to be honest, just put everything on 12 and have been using it like that
What would you recommend adding to the dirty channel? The clean channel sounds amazing on its own and with any pedal run through but I’m struggling to find drive pedals that compliment the dirty channel without it sounding messy.
@@PherotoneStudios I'll use the same 2 pedals mentioned above as an example. For example the gain in the golden peal is marshal like, being very bright so I have volume maxed or near maxed to act like a boost and put a tiny bit of gain so that the amp sounds tighter and bright. The westwood is like a fuzzy distortion, when I do the same it changes the gain to sound almost like a full on fuzz (after ABing the amp is almost identical to the Gloven hoof by EQD). So I would recommend a low-mid gain pedal that has the specific distortion character your looking for. Also dailing back abit of the bass helps a lot too.
I suggest you try this amp with single coil pickups, I have a phat cat equipped Les Paul and it sounds great. Take a bit of that mudiness off! I also use it with a Chapman BEA standard, switched the pickups to a single coil in neck position, this is imo the best sounding setup
Great video, really gets the sound across nicely. However you shouldn't sit so close to a >105dB cab without hearing protection, it really looks like there is blood running out your ear 😅
Great review thank you, just ordered one of these.....can't wait.
Let me know what you think when it arrives. I’m still loving it

@@PherotoneStudios I do the exact same on mine, 12 is where it's at imo
Just ordered one of these because I’ve been getting really into orange lately. It’s on back order at SweetWater so I gotta wait a little bit.
Good work. Absolutely love this amp. Try it on clean with a boost pedal in the front. Sounds epic
Good choice
I love this amp, I use the Friedman Golden pearl / EQD west wood pedals to add different flavors to the cleans and distortions.

I’ll have to redo the video on single coils. Absolutely love this alp
@@PherotoneStudios I personally wouldn't mind a bit less compression on the drive, but other than that, I love it too!
I want it so bad!

Yeah that is a bit loud. Normally I play a bit quieter but I do get over excited and crank it 😂
Can we plug a pedalboard with loop in it?
😂 @ 7:43 the bass is on the right 😅
