Good to see a youtuber actively addressing the problem of volume & neighbours. There’s got to be a shed load of money to be made from a good understanding of how loud is too loud & how to get a good sound at acceptable volumes.

That Headroom/Bedroom thing was one of the main reasons why I went for the Terror 15's brother, the Brent Hinds Terror. Love that amp, and I can give it the beans without annoying my neighbors too much.
Best thing I ever did was moving into a house where I can crank tf out of my engl and zilla cab to really try and capture something. I totally know the feels of living in an apartment with an amazing rig I can barely use! Maybe go around and talk to your neighbors and see what's the best time you can turn up to record and just make sure they're okay with it! Best of luck!

I got a rocker 15 recently and I love it, I already have a PPC112 and I just bought a ppc212, I usually use it at 0.5W with the added -20db attenuation from my torpedo Captor 8Ohms, I have the exact same fear as you annoying the neighbours, with 0,5Ohms and the Torpedo I am absolutely certain I don't bother them too much AND I can use the amp's sweet spot which, for me, is volume and gain at 1 o'clock and everything else at noon, perfect for classic rock!
This Orange Rocker 15 sounds great. My next purchase for sure. For right now I have an Orange Crush 35rt which is great for my town home. Thank you Mary for this valuable demo.
I love how you're showing this side of orange that they are not known for. I love orange amps, been using them for over a decade myself. But they are normally show cased for their dirty gritty tone. Love this!!

Got one of these last week and it’s a perfect amp for the house, had to sell my dual terror a few years ago due to the volume but this is absolutely perfect for quiet playing
I had the Orange TH30 a few years ago. The Rocker 15 sounds cool.
Ive always been more a fan of Line 6 and Roland for guitar amps... Peavy and Line 6 for Bass! but I almost brought this amp a couple months ago for the purpose of being small and portable...
I tried to like the TH30C...the clean channel is really warm and beautiful. But the dirt channel is awful and no amount of EQ, speaker change to V30, or even amp mods made it much better! I traded it for a Rocker 15 combo and love it!!

As a mostly-pick player, its always so cool watching someone so fluent in fingerpicking do their thing. Sometimes its the little things that get ya' the most.

I use the Rocker 15 Terror Head too! No regrets whatsoever, love it! So many good things I want to say on this amp, just don't know how to do it without rambling on. The versatility in terms of power usage/management this thing has is unbelievable! It can be soft and it can be LOUD. Couldn't agree more about the black cover, it is badass! (I've got the 1x12).

Owned a Tiny Terror for 10 years, been looking into this as my new amp, mainly for that headroom/bedroom switch. I play at home, so this makes it ideal.
Been mostly using a Marshall DSL5C combo the last 2 years, and it's funny how although the players I like use Marshalls, the Tiny Terror and this new Rocker 15 Terror sound closer to the tones I'm after than the Marshall ever did.
Hi Mary - don't know if it'd cause problems with your endorsement, but you might want to try the Matrix NL212 cab at some point if you're after portability - it's about 13kg, and (as someone with a bad back and shoulder problems) that makes a *massive* difference. Sounds great, too.

This is precisely why, when I was looking at amps last year, I wanted one with some sort of attenuation. The one I went with (Monoprice's clone of the Laney Cub 12r) says it goes down to 1 watt, but it's more like half power, which is still great, since I can drive the tubes a little harder without annoying the neighbors. I really like the tone of that Orange, though. If I ever replace my solid state Fender 2x12 (relegated to "slave" duty when I want to use my stereo chorus), I'll have to give that a really close look.

The Vox MV-50 Clean has similar features. 2 attenuation levels (3 if you count full power) , specially designed light cabs (8" and 12" speaker versions). I'm enjoying mine. I would be interested to see how it compares ( features, sound and price) to your Orange options.
It sounds amazing! Granted, I have no comparison as I'm a semi-recent subscriber and haven't seen your other Orange review. But, all that being said, I love all the sounds it produces! Clean or dirty. It all sounds amazing!
This setup looks perfect for gigging... with the aid of a couple of bungee cords one could strap a guitar case, the cab and head, and perhaps an accessories bag onto a hand truck... pretty much everything in one neat package. I (and I suspect a few others) will be eagerly awaiting a follow-up after you've had a chance to do some shows with it.

Ohms is the resistance from the speaker. Higher ohm means higher power output -- I'm sure there's some more math there for the nerds. Thank you for the demo! You know how to push sound!
Wrong. If all, what you get is more reactance, more speed. And even that, is not 100% correct. Just match your cabs impedance to the amp, and don’t go below what the amp is capable of.
You should, if you haven't already, run the rocker 32 and the new 15 head together with an a/b pedal, it sounds amazing! You'll get the true stereo effects from the 32 and it just has an overall fuller sound. You won't be disappointed!... Orange is most excellent gear. Try the AD30 if you can, thats the best sounding clean amp I've ever heard....
I have owned Fender, Peavey & Vox (and a weird home made one years ago) tube amps but I have always loved the Orange design and their groovy symbols-i might have to look at a Tiny Terror, nice demo, love your wide eyed response to the new gear!

One should tell (warn) people that even in bedroom at half power, this stuff is so powerful on my Lionheart 2x12 that the neighbor above me gives me regular visits on the weekends to ask for less noise. Those are the most powerful 0.5 watts I've ever heard.

Great review. Every amp i've bought the the last 20 years had to have tone at less than speaking levels, Crate to Peavey to CyberTwin. Of course could get on a gig as well. This Orange rig has Stack vibe while offering alot of flexibility. Nicely done!
Rite now in the US the rocker 15 is 700 the rocker 32 is 1100 a 112 orange cab (cheapest i found) is 450 so even with the hand truck to move the 32 around it a better deal. Im buying one of them soon

I have the same amp and cab but rarely use the bedroom settings, I pretty much turn the guitar volume down at night and kick in a pedal for dirt, just sounds better to my ageing ears.
I'm rather new to the party, but I so need one of those Chewsday Tawks shirts. Everyone at work is looking at me like I'm from Mars because I keep saying "CHEWS-day TAWKS" at random, occasionally inappropriate moments.
Love your playing. I'm inspired to work harder at emulating your right hand technique. I damaged my picking hand at work a few years ago and learned to play without a pick while my thumb was out of action. I couldn't hold a pick, so I picked up a half assed finger style, possibly quarter assed. I rarely use a pick anymore, but my right hand work is sloppy.

I am not normally a fan of the tones from Orange amps, but this one sounded pretty good. Might have to go to my local and try one out.

You didn't get a Red Dwarf? Seriously though, how does it compare. I use a RD1 for practice and love it. Not too keen on Orange amps myself.

Been playing guitar for many years but have never previously considered Orange amps since I have always thought of them as metal amps. Now really curious to try one as they do a really nice cleanish sound too. I think I'm trading in my Fender amp.
Owning a Rockerverb 50 MK1 (yeah, in black!) head for already many years, I must support your endorsement of course. ;-))) Orange amps look subzero cool. But honestly, I wonder if the Terror is the best amp for your playing style.
THD and Rivera make stand-alone attenuators (hot plates) - look into those if it's an issue for you, Mary. Nice review.
Nice. A good amp for home use so as not to wake the others. Prolly better than just a headphone amp for real use ... Flick of switch to go between practice and gig :)

Cool little amp head! Those speakers in the 2x12 will break in and get even sweeter sounding. I have a 1x12 and a 4x12 Orange cabs, I bet the 2x12 is just right.

Just did our new album with the Original Tiny Terror. Really do need that 3 band EQ sometimes. Best plug in and play amps ever though.

Really nice amp and review. Shame they didn’t include reverb; the reverb on my CR120H sounds really nice. I’m guessing they wanted to keep it as stripped back as possible 🤷🏻♂️

I know this is valve and the other ones solid state, but I'm torn between this and the CR120 head. Mainly bedroom playing, but the extra wattage, if i ever end up jamming/gigging. I know the Rockers slightly more expensive, but what does everyone think, between the two?
