I grew up listening to Jim Croce, as a teenager, in the 70’s. I drew the picture of Jim Croce from the back of the Life and Times album in pencil, which was the first realistic drawing I ever drew of anyone. I knew these songs intimately from following and singing along while the record was playing. I was always captivated by his storytelling and heartfelt delivery. It was such a sad day when the world lost this great musical talent. Time in a Bottle is a beautiful song to make mention of Adrian. It must be endlessly painful for his son, and at the same time so deeply meaningful to him to have his father’s love so beautifully expressed to him.

We have the same emotional trip with Jim Croce's songs. He's been a favorite artist of mine since my childhood days. Those stories behind all his beautiful songs I know them to bits. All his songs I played it in classical guitar notes by notes. I'm lucky to find a vintage Jim Croce's Collection in vinyl and I listened to them with my Sonus Faber Concertinos and boy. The emotions the speakers convey to me was nirvana. You are absolutely right and such a good story teller.

As a career musician and producer of music, I have to confess feeling at best ambivalent to the audiophile business and community. This is the only content of the type that I ever watch and the reason is simply the deep love Adrian has for the music itself. In my experience that is oddly nonexistent in audiophile-world. Among all the rhapsodizing and often clueless commentary over inanimate objects of engineering, I’d expect to see more like Adrian, in pure awe of the material without which the entire business is moot.

Thanks for the great review. Ceci must be stalking me. I had the Sonetto III in my very large living room and it wasn’t very inspiring. I replaced it with Zu Audio Omen Def Supremes and it just hit all the right marks. Moved the Sonettos into the much smaller bedroom and they are magic there. It feels like a different speaker in that environment.

As documented in the other videos, the Peachtree is too harsh to use in this evaluation, and it is not surprising that the Sonus Faber sounded better with some music. If the test was done with a Hegel integrated amp, or even better a tube (hybrid or tube in both pre-amp and amp stage), I am convinced that the MoFi would have sounded better.

Good review. Maybe the amp matching makes a difference which ones you prefer? Maybe that amp (peach tree ) goes better with the Sonetto at times? I like the look of the mofi more than the Sonetto. Plus the single driver looks amazing. Nice to know there are other similarly priced and high value. I have had my Sourcepoint 10s since Dec. I just put em on the designed stands and sound even better. I also noticed my mofi require careful setup on toe in etc. especially for high frequency taming.
