I had collicky twins. I slept less than 3 hrs/24 hr period for 4 months. I finally just resigned myself to the situation. I knew that I could catch little naps with the babies. It just meant abandoning my own agenda for a while. But, I really matured a lot through that experience.

Oh boy I understand this! My twin lads have made me a much more patient and mature person. It is a humbling experience to set your priorities and sometimes needs aside to mother newborn twins (and beyond). Best experience of my life is meeting them and being their mother. I am a better person because of them.

Yes on the receiving! I was at the garden center the other day with my baby and toddler, speaking aloud to my toddler that we were gonna go get some potting soil and older gentlemen overheard and offered to grab it for me. What a pleasant interaction! I think we can also look to Jesus on receiving. He let a woman wash his feet. He rose a woman from the dead and she immediately started cooking for him. He didn’t say, “No thanks. I’m not hungry.” Lol

I learned the "trick" to be vulnarable and to share weeknesses or fears from a man about 15 years ago. So I wouldn't call it feminine, but it was a very good advice. So I definitely agree with you on that one. I like your other advices as well. Very wise.
I found these helpful, especially the slowing down and appreciating the moment (pretend you are 80). Thanks for sharing.
Something that helps me immensly is to just take 5 minutes and go to a quiet place, Im a mom of 7, so for me thats rhe bathroom 😅 and just be still and pray and ask God to speak. I dont do this as often as I should! But its always worthwhile when I do ❤

Thank you for sharing your perspectives and your life with us! I really enjoy listening to you. I love getting ready for the day, wearing some light make up and a cute outfit (even though it gets stained throughout the day with a newborn always on me and my 1.5 year old toddler!). It makes me feel so good to start the day, and my husband appreciates it. Similarly, I love taking a shower at night when babies are sleeping and all chores were finalised. I then take care of my skin, put my hair in a bun to sleep and wake up with natural curls, and I’m feeling refreshed and calm before bedtime. Intentionally starting the day with a ritual and ending it with another ritual is so beneficial for my mental well being and overall mood! When I have rough days and I walk by a mirror in the house and see myself tired, but still looking put together, it truly makes me feel good somehow. I think subconsciously it brings me the feeling that even though I am working through hardship, soon I’ll get into my lounge wear and it will be night time again… the day will be over and I’ll have my nighttime ritual that makes me feel good. 😊🌷
