Hi, I typically don't watch these types of videos however, yours are very approachable and relatable, not everyone is a 1% type of a person who can do 8h of constant grinding work, your suggestions and ideas cater to everyday people or those struggling with anxiety and depression, these are small steps that anyone can take, and I love your format of 8-10 minute videos! Keeps things to the point. All in all, thank you for this content.
in brief: The video shares seven micro habits that the creator, Daria, found to significantly enhance her life. These habits focus on well-being, sleep quality, non-toxic productivity, and overall happiness, avoiding topics like beauty, weight loss, or making money. Daria emphasizes that these habits require minimal effort but offer maximum rewards. Here's a summary of the micro habits discussed throughout the video: 1. **Using a Sunrise Imitating Alarm Clock**: This helps with waking up more naturally, especially during the dark, cold months, by gradually lighting up the room. 2. **Carrying a Small Inhaler**: Daria suggests that a Tiger Balm inhaler can alleviate feelings of tiredness, headaches, and improve alertness and circulation. She also mentions using essential oil drops for a quick mood or energy boost. 3. **Improving Air Quality for Better Breathing**: Highlighting the importance of fresh air for mood and cognitive function, Daria recommends airing out living spaces to reduce CO2 levels and improve overall well-being. 4. **Limiting Phone Use for Presence and Focus**: To be more present in the moment and reduce distractions, she advises leaving the phone in another room during activities like walks, dinners, or work. 5. **Emulating a Favorite Character for Motivation**: When feeling unmotivated, Daria imagines herself as a favorite book or movie character to inspire action and focus. 6. **Reducing Blue Light Exposure Before Bed**: She suggests stopping device use at least an hour before bedtime and using blue light filtering glasses to improve sleep quality. 7. **Preparing for the Next Day**: Daria makes a habit of doing small gestures for her future self each night, like cleaning her desk or preparing clothes for the next day, to ease morning routines. As a bonus tip, Daria emphasizes doing something that makes her happy every single day, regardless of how small it may seem, to prioritize personal happiness amid responsibilities and duties. To track these habits, Daria uses a template that outlines the habits, suggested timings, necessary resources, and a checkbox for tracking. She stresses that these habits should serve as tools for improvement and not as sources of stress, encouraging the idea that small actions can lead to significant, positive changes in life.gpt4
Preparing for the next morning makes getting up and getting ready so much smoother. A lesson I learned later in my career but still applied in my retirement. This old dog learned a new trick!
I definitely want to air out my home morning, evening, and any time I find it helpful. Thank you. ... Half an hour later: oh my goodness! That's much nicer. I'd forgotten how pleasant fresh air is. 🙂
Thank you for your kind comment! Honestly in today’s world fresh air is such privilege! I live in London but come from a small town in Poland and the difference is immense. Still I find it useful to air my rooms in London despite the pollution as it lowers the Co2 in the room!
One micro habit will trigger another if you stick enough to it. I started will the basics which everyone does - making my bed in the morning, drinking a lot of water right after I wake up with some vitamins and 5-10 minutes sunlight, and fresh air when I sleep. Then I removed most apps and stopped all of notifications, the important people in my life will have my number if they need me😄 I just try to remember them and really make them habits, not to-do list, because it removes the guilt when I miss/forget to do something. Amazing quality content!
I have been following few things based on Andrew Huberman's podcast(Wake up early- Turn on lights- Outside for morning walk) and I feel peace, something which I had not imagined I would be able to feel so quickly. Some of the things which you have mentioned here are new to me, gonna add them and see how it feels. Thanks, loved your video! 😍
Funny you say that, I did a longer Huberman routine experiment too! Morning light has been definitely the he main game changer for me! Glad you found something new too!
Light is one of my issues in winter! With only about 8 hours of daylight during the shortest days, it means I am going to work in the dark and leaving work in the dark.... During the daylight hours I am in the office building! I do walk daily but always in the dark for several months each winter (winters can be 6-7 months long)....
I know, it’s so so hard - I hate it! I try to make a tiny break to go to grocery store while it is bright when I am at the office or even just go outside like the smokers do haha. Those dark months are such a challenge.
As someone with a chronic pain and fatigue to save energy I have been dressing more simply (sometimes I am especially swapped from one part of pjs to another) but I have found adding perfume or a bit of jewelry really helps differentiate between day and night when the more ‘normal’ ones are not within reach. Also fresh air is an enormous one for me even if it just opening a window or standing on the doorstep.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your story and tips Tessa! I did not think about adding a bit of spark to my loose fit clothing / PJs! I have chronic lyme and endo, so I do also struggle with chronic pain/fatigue. I have been experimenting with CDB oils (the ones without THC) and acupressure mats but it is way too early to say how these work.
I am actively trying to tell people the nice things I think of them. To thank my roommate when she does my dishes, or tell my friend I appreciate them making time for me consistently. It's a small thing, but it makes us both feel good.
That’s so beautiful and honestly good energy will just come back to you ❤️😍 thank you for a lovely comment and I wish you most merry Christmas if you are celebrating 🎄😍

This is so awesome, you are one of the most helpful youtuber out here. The fact that you made a "Tracking Template" is just fantastic for me. Thanks again!!
I love these. You explain them so well. I think one of the strengths of microhabits is that in a ways they're all like those "tiny gestures" you make for your future self - a little way of acknowledging to yourself that life can be tough but you can do something small to help. Intrigued by the 'air' one, might have to give it a try. The downside is how polluted so many of our cities are!
True, that’s such a shame! Although polluted air seems still better than low oxygen air. Nasal breath helps filter the pollution better than mouth only breathing. I was completely unaware of all this until the James Nestor book, also his interview with Diary of the CEO is a very good summary! Thank you so much for a kind comment :)
Love this concept of evaluating microhabits that can actually improve quality of life in meaningful ways! Ill be assessing my own and trying new things and measure for myself how much effort, utility and enjoyment I get from them. Totally stumbled upon this video and omg the production quality! You clearly put a lot of effort and thought into your videos, and do such creative VFX as well, from logo designs to that whole jedi and wizard scene! Well done, and really helpful.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,430 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
@@lostinadmiration Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RUclips channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RUclipsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this RUclips thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)
@@nathananderson8720 Thank you, your story is both moving and inspiring. I am so happy and proud of you that you did not give up. I am sure you are inspiring many and will help lift people up! Wishing you all the best and glad to join you on this path! Have a beautiful day!
@@lostinadmiration Thank you! I'm so glad that I've been inspiring some people to some extent. That means a lot. I, myself, was struggling a lot, especially in the beginning. I remember being tearful when I was getting emotional when I was writing my 1st script because it made me realize how far I have come so far at this stage of my life. I can share my hardships through words and videos but they won't exactly represent how difficult it was for me to overcome those hardships. From losing my parents at a young age, being bullied physically and emotionally, being ridiculed for coming out, gender transitioning, and even the fact of quitting Nursing just so I can have more time for my channel, freelancing and actually spend enough time for myself and loved ones. No words or videos can show these but knowing that I can potentially inspire others through my stories and setbacks by becoming more vulnerable, it gives me more reasons to keep going and keep creating inspiring content as much as I could and in the best way I can. You have your own different journey and each of us does. I don't know what exactly you're going through but keep in mind that you can be your own best friend or enemy. Your mind is very powerful if you use it wisely. As Steve Jobs once said, "Stay hungry, stay foolish. You're already naked. There's no reason not to follow your heart". This simple quote has a profound impact on my life and I'm hoping that for you as well.

Great content, great video quality. Thank you a lot. Keep going please 🙏🏽🥰♥️
Will do my very best - thank you!
I switched back to a flip phone recently, and if I need GPS or a good camera, I just borrow my husband's. It has been a game changer.
I have been dreaming to do something similar honestly. But I am way too reliant on internet for work it seems. So glad it has worked for you!!!

I am so glad you started - good luck on your journey!
Nice content and great video quality / editing 👏🏼

2:03 If your in an office and you start feeling sleepy and your head hurts, then open a window, the CO2 level is way too high. You should get fresh air long before you have noticeable symptoms.
You are right! And in fact in my office you can’t even open windows.. I wish modern workplace considered wellbeing more!

Another excellent video 🤩 So glad I found your channel! Also, I did not know Tiger Balm made an inhaler stick?! Thanks for the tip! 💡
Yes! They also do muscle rub in a larger tube that acts as body lotion for tired muscles! It’s just harder to get hold of these outside of Asia (and they are a lot more expensive sadly). Thank you so much 😊🤩
@@lostinadmiration great tip! I’ll have to keep an eye out for those 👍
