One of the best things about bob is that half the time he doesn't seem to know exactly what hes trying to do but it works anyway. Maybe he's a paint bee. "According to all known laws of aviation, there's no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wing are too small to lift its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway - because bees don't care what humans think is impossible."
I'm sorry to tell you but Bob knew exactly what he was doing. He planned AHEAD of time what he would paint and knew every paint stroke. He made it appear like it was spontaneous, but it actually wasn't. Please see the documentary about Bob to see what I mean.
Candy's Channel But then again even the best artists use references to make sure they're painting is the best it can be. Doing it from memory is very hard and can make the paining inconsistent
isectoid he actually painted the pic already and it's hidden behind so only he can see it, so what we see is him painting the first painting a second time
Love this!!!!! Awesome. I didn't know that. And it makes sense. And you dont know it but you just changed my day. From helpless to hopeful!! God bless.
“Whooo, looks like your deep in the woods there. Hope you brought your compass.” This is why I love watching these videos hahah he had the best sayings.
I get the feeling that something is wrong when he doesn't chuckle and says "and just beat the devil out of it" after cleaning the brush. edit (2024): some people in the comments took this way too seriously? maybe I wasn't clear that I was referring to myself, not trying to imply anything about Bob or his mood as I didn't know him personally. please, go touch some grass 😭🙏🏼
Isn't it though? This and the Campfire (3.10) and maybe a couple other forest ones are just awesome. But you're right, this one's turning out kind of spectacular relative to everything else he's done.
Probably the best painting he ever did. The "puddles" become a vivid picture of what a downstream from a developing river would look like flowing down to a pond. Add that foreground to the eerie background and it's a Bob Ross classic.
Robot Lover and he does absolutely no editing. He's said on several episodes that what you see is exactly how it happened. I'm not a religious person in particular, but I surely do hope in my heart that Bob can feel all this internet born appreciation for him and his work. Even by people so young that they never saw the show on television when it was originally broadcast. He would be so delighted and proud.
The wet-on-wet painting technique is amazing and creative in what can be done on a wet canvas in a short time. But alas, it has its haters and critics who say it isn't real painting because you don't toil and agonize for days and weeks like you would on a dry canvas.
Has to be one of my all time favorite Bob Ross paintings. The coziness of the forest, the blue and pink trees, the puddles and the leading line to the tree on the right, the way the big puddle encompasses the bottom, and the signature Ross big ol’ tree in the foreground to tie it all together. I love it
I leave my TV on 24/7 and when PBS is doing Bob... I love that intro music, depending on if it night or morning it either puts me to sleep or gently wakes me
Well I just started painting with bob or using his techniques just this past winter.one season, and I never painted before.already sold 2 paintings.bever thought a hobby would turn out to be profitable.love bob ross.i think he was a genius at painting.wish he was alive today.but he is in our hearts
the way he makes art... the way he strokes his brush without a care. i wonder as i lay in my bed after a long day of school and work if i will ever reach half of the peace that bob ross had when making these episodes. also, he didn’t say “beat the devil out of it.” that shocked me. this man is beautiful. he creates the sky, the mountains, the tress and the birds. he now has the biggest paintbrush of them all, where ever he is and he is creating such a beautiful scenery in such a difficult time. yet he was just a man, but i truly believe he was put on this earth for such a short time because the creator (whatever creator or creators you believe in, anyway) knew the impact he would have. that’s why he has the paintbrush, both here and in the painting he is in now. he may be gone, but i have peace in my mind that such a man could have ever existed. it’s comforting, it’s safe, and it’s the peace i hope we can all reach. RIP Bob Ross
i remember watching this show as a kid and i always felt relaxed and calm watching it for some reason and would be fascinated by how he talks while he worked. asmr and satisfying way before it's time.

7:30 “Let the canvas take what it wants and use what’s left. Just like Uncle Sam at the end of each year, he takes what he wants and you get what’s left” 🤣🤣🤣 I almost didn’t catch that! Best Bob Ross quote
Everytime he adds something I think, " oh he's going to mess it up it look so perfect!" Then he surprises me with another amazing add on. Only Bob Ross. I grew up watching him. The memories. Happy painting, happy times!! Miss you Bob.
This is one of the very few Bob Ross joy of painting episodes where he didn't giggle as he cleaned his brush and 'beat the devil out of it'. Towards his later half of his show, it was a guarantee. I have to laugh with him every time.
Apparently when someone dies I'm not allowed to appreciate all the wonderful things they've done when they were alive. Now if only that made any sense...
2:14-Bob's first abstract painting;) Love Bob, the black canvases are fun, and his ideas with them have worked nicely for me. He was the best teacher, for more than just art...
Amazing artist we love Bob Ross . I let my students learn to paint from Bob Ross . Look at him painting so easily but when we learn we realize how hard it is
planetX15 Or paint all over his hands. When I’ve finished an oil painting I look like the swamp thing 🤷♀️ Bob must have been truly blessed, or possibly magic. Maybe both 😁

I was skeptical of the blue and pink trees at first, but then I realized I should never doubt Bob. Great painting!
+Beast Boy You always thinks he fucks it up and you silently disapprove until he proves you wrong. Every time.
Don't ever doubt The Ross
the real Beast Boy isn't all that pessimistic
The pink mix in the thumbnail seemed unusual. I had to click to see what he was up to
Wish he could actually get the feedback...
cause every puddle deserves a friend

Everyone deserves a friend ♡♡
I wish i was one of those puddles

I love when he starts with a black canvass.
I feel so sleepy while watching him paint, not like boredom, just a sense of tranquility and peace
It’s called ASMR baba the head massage is best for that
I get the feeling that something is wrong when he doesn't chuckle and says "and just beat the devil out of it" after cleaning the brush.

sthefannygonzaga This is a muted Bob, like he's been given bad news before filming.
2:44 :(
sthefannygonzaga I came to the comments to say that...
lpanldemonium So I wasn’t the only one thinking that!
It just felt... Odd.
7:40 probably taxes
Every time he says: "i'll tell you what. Lets have some fun" he gets so excited and than says: "There is a big tree". Lol i love it.
Ahh nothing like a Bob Ross video to help you go to sleep.
That's exactly me right now.
So damn right dude
i too
+cuteyangelkitten That's not really the point of them though, is it?
+ohthepeppers I think the point of them is to either paint with him or relax and watch him paint, however you want to relax
@18:36 "Caress the canvas. You need to be in love with the canvas". Only if it's slick, wet, and ready to go, Bob.
it always is!
I am too.
HAHA I CANT BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT I NEVER HEARD HIM TAKEN TO DIRTY TOWN
tylerdurden3891 Bob and the canvas need to get a freakin room lol
he tried. but the canvas was not down. but then Bob said: "Just let it happen".
No matter who chooses to think of him as dead, he left us with opportunity to know him, and know that he lived.. he left us so much to enjoy..
+Mary Johnson a generous man!
At first I wasn't too sure about the pink/blue, but he made me a believer!
I am from the future, How did you know about our musical video made by Imagine Dragons?
You mean a beLEAFer
This is the coolest painting I've ever seen him do.
Isn't it though? This and the Campfire (3.10) and maybe a couple other forest ones are just awesome. But you're right, this one's turning out kind of spectacular relative to everything else he's done.

this calmed me out of an anxiety attack, thank you bob ross
He spreads whole landscapes on to the canvas as easily as if he were spreading butter on to toast.

I can't even draw a tree with a pencil. But watching Bob with his brush. It's magical.
I prefer the paint mixing to the brush beating. NOBODY CAN STOP ME

I never thought watching paint dry can be enjoyable. Bob Ross was a master landscape painter that makes it a pleasure.

Furisca Fynn yes. Bob Ross lovers are quite witty and humorous for the most part.
I thought he went goofy when he painted his trees red and blue. But of course, I was foolish to doubt the Bob.

Not fair. Stop it with the dislikes.

Anime Weekly don't worry this video has 3,000 like & only 47 dislikes
Anime Weekly maybe because they do not know who he is
who dislikes Bob Ross?!
Anime Weekly well an artist once told me that Ross s work was not clean enough. i dont know
Is that really a good reason to dislike him though?
He didn't beat the devil out of it the first time
Amazing how he talks before the stroke and then, BOOM, there it is, and it is perfect.
WHY IS THIS SO RELAXING
it's the original asmr.
