As a kid growing up in Australia, Blind Guardian was the first band to really make me feel seen- like I finally found exactly what I love, where I belong. I used to dream of going to Wacken to see them play there. I’d sneak off to the library at lunch at school just to watch them play at Wacken. Fast forward a few years- I’m in the front row in this video. This is something I’ll keep with me forever. Thank you 🤘🖤
Shit makes me cry. Every time. I love live music, it's so hard to feel connected to others these days. By god though, I sang this right along with that crowd and I don't care I feel like a part of it.
Now you all know The bards and their songs When hours have gone by I'll close my eyes In a world far away We may meet again But now hear my song About the dawn of the night Let's sing the bards' song Tomorrow will take us away Far from home No one will ever know our names But the bards' songs will remain Tomorrow will take it away The fear of today It will be gone Due to our magic songs There's only one song Left in my mind Tales of a brave man Who lived far from here Now the bard songs are over And it's time to leave No one should ask you for the name Of the one Who tells the story Tomorrow will take us away Far from home No one will ever know our names But the bards' songs will remain Tomorrow all will be known And you're not alone So don't be afraid In the dark and cold 'Cause the bards' songs will remain They all will remain In my thoughts and in my dreams They're always in my mind These songs of hobbits, dwarfs and men And elves Come close your eyes You can see them too
Blind Guardian were my first EVER concert, almost 30 year ago when they did their Nightfall on Middle Earth tour. My friends had got me the ticket for my birthday. I'll never forget that for as long as I live - and yes, of course they played the Bard's Song and of course I sang it with all the others.
I'm in Argentina, and I missed work that day (I hope my boss isn't watching this 😂) to see the Bards! These are epic moments that you can't miss! Cheers 🤘
My wife and I were there, seeing and singing this song at Wacken was one of my dreams, and I am so happy my wife shared with me this amazing moment. I cried grown ass man tears with this song. Now we can’t wait for August to see Grave Digger perform at the Holy Grounds.
Walking cam made me a bit dizzy, but kudos to the audience for letting Hansi sing a total of a dozen words! Okay, the drone shots near the end were perfect for this song and that moment in it. Very well done!
mein Highlight 2024, ech da zu sehen mit euch zu singen einer dieser Stimmen zu sein.... 1. Mal Wacken... und dann das. danke für dieses Video die beste Erinnerung !
It was soo wonderful! Our camp and I were in the front row, singing with all the other metalheads. I have done it a few times with Blind Guardian, but doing it at Wacken is something special!
Travelers through Wacken area report that the echo from previous years was somehow enhanced...scientists say that the last echo will last till the end of the known universe. Scientists from Vulcan, verified the last statement as true, as the Battalions of Blind Guardian made it happen.
Amazing atmosphere! I also dig the drone shots. I wish I would have been closer to the stage for this one. I was somewhere midfield where fewer people were singing along and unfortunately ended up in a spot with two bozos behind me who wouldn't shut up with weird comments and bad jokes all throughout the song, telling each other things like "Why are they not playing metal anymore?" and "Huh, what's going on, why does everyone know the text to this?" (roughly paraphrased from German from memory). I really wanted to tell them to stfu so badly, but first I am not one to let myself get angry at a peaceful show and second, I was too busy singing along as loudly as possible to compensate for the relative lack of other voices around me. In the end they both ended up appreciating what was happening with something akin to "okay, gotta admit that was kinda cool", so there's that. But they did ruin my enjoyment to a significant extent, so that it became the worst Bard's Song experience so far for me. Good to learn from this video that I was the exception and the rest of the crowd had an amazing time. And luckily I had plenty of magical moments with the song before that one (first time was at WOA 2011, I believe, every other Wacken show they played after that and various tour shows) and I'm hoping there also will be quite a few more still to come.
Это потрясающе красиво! Песня моей юности, которая до сих пор жива в сердцах и голосах людей! Это успех!!! 🔥🔥🔥 С любовью и глубоким почтением из России 🙌
Is it possible to release a song about the conquest of the universe? The legions of translucent cyborgs that have been invading since BC with black holes in the universe as the base of evil are called angels.
I am so proud to say "I was there and I sang The Bard's Song in Wacken. 🤩
I am not proud to say "I was there, passed out at infield entrance from weed that hit way too hard"
I am proud to say "I was there, but wanted to get a better spot for Korn". Wacken 2024 was incredible.
I wish the world could be always like this. 80.000 people from around the world and sing together.

Other bands wish they had a song with this much crowd participation.❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

My favourite 4 Minutes of the entire Festival
Gehört safe weltweit zu den Top 5 Songs, die von der Crowd gesungen wird. :D
I have been to two Blind Guardian concerts this year. The feeling of this song is something unique every time you experience it.
It's crazy they were able to come back several years later to find the crowd still singing...
Now you all know
The bards and their songs
When hours have gone by
I'll close my eyes
In a world far away
We may meet again
But now hear my song
About the dawn of the night
Let's sing the bards' song
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow will take it away
The fear of today
It will be gone
Due to our magic songs
There's only one song
Left in my mind
Tales of a brave man
Who lived far from here
Now the bard songs are over
And it's time to leave
No one should ask you for the name
Of the one
Who tells the story
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow all will be known
And you're not alone
So don't be afraid
In the dark and cold
'Cause the bards' songs will remain
They all will remain
In my thoughts and in my dreams
They're always in my mind
These songs of hobbits, dwarfs and men
And elves
Come close your eyes
You can see them too

Why does that guy on the stage keep interrupting the crowd...?😂😂🤘🤘
Amazing atmosphere! I also dig the drone shots.

Pelle d'oca! Fantastico!
The video is the opposite of the song. It’s a great song

Hansi barely had to do anything
:3
Why are people being moved to the stage?
It's called crowd surfing. People want to do it, you get carried to the front and then go around back into the crowd
Who ever filmed this must have been drunk .i got dizzy 😵💫
Camera work made me feel sick 🤢
Einfach hamer.
