FOR THE RECORD: This entire issue was caused but us modifying the car and only one issue has been the reason for all this. The drive belt. This will be an easy fix as it only needs the pullys aligned. Everything overheated and shut the power off because of the drive belt. Stay tuned.

Since the pressure keeps building up when it's running. Then goes down when it's off. The gaskets on the heads are probably blown. The engine is letting pressure into the coolant lines. This doesn't happen when the pump is going out.

It's an old car that haven't been used much until Randy bought it, old clamps , dried out hoses etc. This is sadly not uncommon with cars like these, they're treated as museum pieces and not used enough because their owners fear depriciation. It's not stock anymore either, it has a larger set of superchargers albeit from the same manufacturer (rotrex). The engine/gearbox can handle that though but the cooling system needs a refresh/seeing to by the looks of it. Last time it broke down it was apparently due to a pulley not tightened enough during the supercharger update, can't fault the car for that.

Cars like this and many other mid engine super/hyper cars have a much more involved method than just letting it run with the cap off. There are a shit load of steps that have to be done in order for it to be bled correctly. I'm not trying to be "that guy" because I would have assumed the same as you, BUT, believe it or not, when TJ Hunt rebuilt his Ferrari, he has a whole video going over it and the method Ferrari required him to do. It's a total pain in the ass.
@@hungrynapps Over engineering is typically a good thing. That means the engineers have thought through all the scenarios to give you something that won't break. A Toyota is over engineered. Cars that don't have well thought out systems are under engineered. In this case, not enough break fix scenarios were run, which means when a problem occurs its new, unique and difficult to fix. Burping a coolant system "should" be as simple as getting the radiator cap to be at the highest point. Meaning parking on a slope to have the receptacle sitting at a higher level. Then when the car is run the air bubbles rise to the highest point essentially burping the system. When it is not designed that way, we have more complicated methods. Aka the car is under-engineered. Over engineered cars last. Million mile engines are over engineered. Not a lot of million mile engines out there sadly.
For the record, as someone who has had MANY centri and PD supercharged cars over the years, good luck on that minor pulley alignment issues on a twin SC car. I PROMISE you it will ALWAYS be a problem no matter how much money you throw at it. That level of power and that level of complexity is always going to be a mess. Even if you get the alignment good, then you’ll move on to endless tensioner, pulley, and belt issues. Not trying to be negative, I truly wish you guys the best, I’m just being the guy that nobody else wants to be. The one to tell you the truth no matter how bad it hurts. Get the thing sorted as best you can and get fucking rid of it.
Yeah he was so worried about modifying the 720S because of issues and then he goes and fucks with a car that makes a 720S seem like a Honda Accord in comparison as far as reliability is concerned 🤔

Imo, this happens because they were rushing the job for the rally and probably skipping upgrading other related parts that also need to be upgraded. And I don't think they got the time to do proper tests and tuning too.

It is not just old, they have modified it quite heavily. They changed superchargers and thus has messed with belt that snapped. This second error is probably related to that as well. I would gladly modify a $20K Toyota Supra, but probably not a > 1$M 15 year old car
Apart from it already being a bit older it was also Koenigsegg´s first model, so it probably has more flaws than the 50th Ferrari model or a Huayra with the „old“ Mercedes engine. And with Koenigsegg being so small and even less cars in the US it’s probably hard to find a shop that actually legit works 100% correct on it

My sister always wanted a jeep when she could drive, idk why. But she got a 2005 grand Cherokee. Over 3 years we replaced probably 10k in parts, and their was a small head gasket leak we never fixed. mostly our grandparents payed because they wanted to. Anyway it was low on coolant and either she overfilled it or it just desisded to blow, she pulled into her friend’s driveway and it dumped the coolant on the ground when she parked. They towed it back to where It was last serviced and it needed a new rad, and thermostat at least. We didn’t want to spend more so we said we will pick it up. When we picked it up they said they put a rad and thermostat in it and the engine shakes the whole car. We scrapped it
Hmm rough start and an over pressurised coolant system has head gasket written all over it. Best case scenario is that the coolant is over full or a faulty cap but the rough start and running can indicate coolant in the cylinders
I literally have the same problem with my CBR 600 . It would overflow out of the coolant expansion tank. I ended up having a bunch of air in my system and my thermostat was bad

If it's been bleed 4 it's probably a bad head gasket, when he pushes it the head gasket leaks and pressurizes the coolant. Engine out, new head gasket and maybe some head machining will fix that but will also make a nice hole in those deep deep pockets.
It's sounds like the intervals went bad. Even if the temperature gauge shows low temperature it could have over heated if the temp sensor is in the cold stagnant water side in the cooling system.
Headache. If the waterpump hasn't been changed then change that, change the expansion tank if its become brittle, do the auxiliary belts, change the battery, check the alternator, and change the expansion cap as sometimes that itself can cause pressure build up. For future reference: To bleed it have the ignition on, but the car off. Have heating on, open the bleed screw and keep filling until no bubbles come from the bleed screw. If it's self bleeding then just keep filling with the heating on until no more bubbles in the fluid in the expansion tank. Stick to actual coolant, distilled (deionised water) at the 'worst' This is why cars were made to be driven and not sat. Things wear overtime from lack of proper use
No power can cause those issues if u have coolant leak take coolant cap off so it doesn't build pressure and could be air bubbles but usually car will get hot cuz when pump gets air bubble it's not moving water all seem very minor issues easily resolved

Do these cars not have a diagnostic mode that will throw out an error code that you can look up if something goes wrong? Then again i guess if the dash just totally shuts off then how are you going to do that.
You can get wealthy in many ways, but the main 3 are owning a successful business(es), stock market/trading, or real estate. My honest advice, start learning and investing into real estate. If you're very young, learn as much as you can, if you're working save money and invest in a mentor to guide and aid you to applying what you learned out in the field. Motivate yourself that you can do it everyday, always think positive negative thinking severely kills motivation, also got to have drive and ambition or else you'll find yourself quiting. With your profit in real estate, you can start whatever business you want, buy one or more restaurant franchises, etc. and grow your income. But stick to one and be the best you can be at it.

Btw, I’m an aircraft maintenance engineer so I might know a thing or 2, shit that’s valued at 200x the egg. To add to that I’m a private mechanic for multiple European vehicles, and I definitely won’t call coolant fucking radiator fluid LOL

You get what you pay for. I had trouble with all three of mine. Darned windshield wipers keep smearing. They’re not that good off reading or in the snow.
The same thing happened to my car and it turned out to be the camshaft position sensor, I would check that if it’s bogging and the engine is dying, if the sensor fails the pistons will not fire leading to the car bogging or dying

Cooling system fans can be heard working! Most likely it is a water pump
Those plastic caps and bins can finicky like the threads are big and can skip between threads and it’s hard to tell with the angle
Or a belt

Check water pump/ thermostat/ cap. Replace with gravity battery & upgrade the internals of the alternator

Correct me if I’m wrong but if coolant leaks on a road or anywhere it needs to be reported to be properly cleaned up because it’s insanely toxic...
Headache. If the waterpump hasn't been changed then change that, change the expansion tank if its become brittle, do the auxiliary belts, change the battery, check the alternator, and change the expansion cap as sometimes that itself can cause pressure build up.

Theres something pressurieding the system to put out the fluid like that. Water pump gasket, somewhere there's going making its way in

You can get wealthy in many ways, but the main 3 are owning a successful business(es), stock market/trading, or real estate. My honest advice, start learning and investing into real estate. If you're very young, learn as much as you can, if you're working save money and invest in a mentor to guide and aid you to applying what you learned out in the field. Real estate is very very hard, but if you really want money, get to work... Motivate yourself that you can do it everyday, always think positive negative thinking severely kills motivation, also got to have drive and ambition or else you'll find yourself quiting. With your profit in real estate, you can start whatever business you want, buy one or more restaurant franchises, etc. and grow your income. But stick to one and be the best you can be at it.

Savage Garage at the end of the day cars are cars, when you hear somebody say “radiator fluid” you know he doesn’t know shit about cars. Btw, I’m an aircraft maintenance engineer so I might know a thing or 2, shit that’s valued at 200x the egg. To add to that I’m a private mechanic for multiple European vehicles, and I definitely won’t call coolant fucking radiator fluid LOL

@@DaviD_iB1 not to mention the fact that they poured some regular Ole water they found at a gas station somewhere to try and make up the difference in the coolant loss. Hopefully everything was completely flushed to get all the coolant out that is now contaminated by minerals.

You get what you pay for. I had trouble with all three of mine. Darned windshield wipers keep smearing. They’re not that good off reading or in the snow.
Alternator and water pump on the same belt? That seems like it could be the problem.
The same thing happened to my car and it turned out to be the camshaft position sensor, I would check that if it’s bogging and the engine is dying, if the sensor fails the pistons will not fire leading to the car bogging or dying
It’s almost like every car you guys touch ends up worse than before you worked on it WOW
So much problems after that supercharger upgrade, maybe you should have left it stock

That reservoir is just overflow, the car is overheating. You can hear the fans blasting when you cut the car off.
