Amy, another free tear ruler I use is the cutting edge on either plastic wrap or foil after the product is used. I leave enough of the cardboard area to hold on to while I cut my paper. It works well.
Thank you for the sweet comment :) Thank you for sharing your tip, I have a few too, but I forgot all about them :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Thank you for the sweet comment :) They do work great for longer pieces of paper (and small ones too) and they are so easy to make and use :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Tear rulers are so much fun! I made a couple with packaging, and they work really well. I've also used the kitchen wrap/foil package tear edges, and I saw another crafter using a small saw blade. Lots of great possibilities, thanks for sharing; take care!
Thank you for the sweet comment :) I have heard of the tear edges from foil, but never saw or heard of using a saw blade :) Thank you very much for sharing that with us all :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Thank you for the sweet comment :) I am glad you have made your own and like them enough to want to make another :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
Thank you for sharing this. I just made one a couple of weeks ago using a plastic ruler. I really like the idea of using the thick acetate sheets. I will try it.
Oh wow thank you for posting this video. What a fantastic idea. I've seen these rulers but, with all the other things I want, can't justify the price. What I love about this, more, is that you can taylor the nicks according to the style you want. Great video x
Never thought of that, thank you for sharing your idea :) You will have to let me know if it works :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy

Using a ruler means it's easy to make a regular pattern on the edge of the ruler like an edge punch or a die. Thanks Amy
