Never thought about using a Iron. I used needle nose pliers and did mine but I think this works a lot better.might have to make another one using my little iron.thanks Cathy
This a excellent project and wonderful tutorial!!! I wondered if it would mess up the iron. I've seen this done with metal jewelry pliers too I tried it that way it was a little too difficult.💓🐞❤️
I wish I'd seen this video before I made mine. I watched other videos. One way was to chip the ruler with a long nose pliers. That gives a much more jagged edge with deeper indentations and you have to watch out for the flying bits. The other video showed hitting the ruler on a metal edge. Both worked but this would have been way easier 🤣🤣🤣
I made one with a box cutter knife. Cut small "v"s along the edge. Did bigger cuts on one side of the ruler and smaller ones on the other. Works great!

My iron em wasn’t messed up. I also used a craft iron. I made sure I wiped the iron off when I was finished.

I wonder if those that don't have an iron could manage this with the hot tip of a glue gun?

I gave the hot glue gun a try. It takes longer than the iron but would work if that is all you had.
