I’m 3 years late but I HAD to look up the sheet music you had (I’m a musician). ”Just a plain american girl” written by Dave Marion and published 1895.
Hi Steph, I’ve been to your Facebook page and printed the pages, thank you so much, they are lovely, I’ve made the rest myself, painted and inks, so these will come in very nice for my first journal, I’m getting quite excited about it, it’s so nice to see someone offering a helping hand, I’m sure I’ll be downloading kits very soon, stay safe xx
Hi Stephanie, I'm a new subscriber from Canada, I am an aspiring journal maker ,I already Anke beaded jewelry, and I have been slowly compiling a collection of ephemera and different textile and laces to begin making a journal, I'm living on a disability support so I don't work and have a bug income to buy a lot of supplies which is the obstacle in getting started on my books, it's a bit frustrating but I'm not giving up. Thanks so much for all your videos, please make more about making junk journals, like how to make a.cover or what supplies we need for aging paper and aging the edges with a ink pad. Take care, Sabrina
Hi Sabrina! Thanks for watching and subscribing! I would be glad to do more videos and I love your suggestions! In the meantime, please feel free to ask me if you have any questions. ❤️❤️❤️
I completely understand! Supplies can be very expensive! The great thing about junk journals is you can use a lot of recycled materials. One of my favorite types of papers to use to make pages is paper bags. Also, I age my paper by tea dying or coffee dying and I purchase my tea and instant coffee at the dollar store. I don't have a video on how I do tea dying, but there are many videos on RUclips about the process. I hope this helps a little and feel free to reach out to me anytime. ❤️
Thanks for sharing this video. I've been puzzling over what to include and what to leave out etc. It's a more complicated question than I thought it would be!! Thanks also for the digital pages. They are so lovely! I look forward to including those also.
This is great. I'm totally new to this, so I hope this isn't a stupid question. Anyway, it's obvious to see what to do if the pages are too big, but what if you don't have pages that are big enough? Do you glue papers together, or ?? Thank you.
Hi Mary, thanks so much for watching and commenting! That's a great question! I think using smaller papers in a journal looks great and gives it more interest. But sewing or gluing pages together is a great way to make them larger and use up your scraps. One of my favorite channels on RUclips is Pink Odd Bird. She has a great tutorial on making, I think she calls them, Franken pages. I'll look up the tutorial and send you the link 😁❤️
@@stephaniemaydeck709 Thank you so much for replying. I'm trying to make a journal for my first granddaughter that is graduating from high school. I think she will really like this if I can pull it off. Lol. Thanks again.
Aww man thank you so much for this!!! I just recently have been bitten by this bug and I'm so in love with it! Thank you for the tutorials as well as the links!! 🥰👍 New subscriber now.
I great video for inspiration and giving a person the freedom to relax and just go for it. Also, thank you for the free files and great ideas on printing on single side scrapbook paper. Just when you thought you might have seen it all and Boom. I just learned something new. I enjoy your video, this is the first one I cam across but I will look for the others.
When you say you put about 10 pages per signature, are you talking about 10 sheets of paper folded in half for 20 pages and 40 sides? Or five sheets of paper folded in half for 10 pages and 20 sides?
Hey Laurel! How re you? It's 10 sheets folded in half. And it's just an approximation. You can do 5 sheets, 8 sheets, whatever you feel comfortable with. 10 is about my max because the signature gets too bulky with more. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I'm planning on updating /redoing this video, and making more, very soon. Take care!
Thanks Laurel! I'm trying to get to a place where I can do custom orders. My husband had some health issues the past year and, actually, he's having hip replacement surgery on Monday. My crafting time came to a screeching halt this past year but, we're doing great, and I'm excited to create again. I'd love to see the journal you make! Take care! ❤️

This was perfect I tell you just what I've been looking for I didn't know how to place or sew my different size papers into my signatures. Thank you.
