I should note, the number of pages you put in a signature don't have to match what I did here. You can certainly do less, it'll be easier to bind, especially if you're a beginner! ❤️ Thanks for all your support!
@@TheGreekGoddess369 hi Esta! I would say if you are a beginner, maybe start off with a single signature, soft cover book. This way you can kind of get a feel for how putting your signature, binding, making a cover etc will be. Thank you for taking the time to watch! 💕
The only problem with this video is that it's too short! 😂 I could literally watch you make signatures all day! You have such a great sense of what goes well together! I'm a huge fan of the vintage look and was drooling over those calendar pages! 😍 Thank you for sharing this with us! Hugs from Bermuda!
Ah thank you so much!! Wow Bermuda! Thank you so much for tuning in!! I really do appreciate all the kind words! It really tore my heart apart to break into that calendar, but in the end I'm like.... I can't keep it forever lol. But I did save the month of April... Of course. 😉😉XoXo ❤️
Hi April! While there wasn't anything new here for me, I still loved watching this video! I find it to be so fun to watch someone else go through their process. I especially like watching people make their covers. So I hope you can share a little of that process, too. TFS.
Thank you so much Elaine! I do appreciate you still taking a moment to have a look! I did film a small bit of the one of the covers, for one of these books. Hopefully I'll have it up later this week! Thanks again! ❤️

Debby Thornton I have that problem too. I’ve figured out something that’s been a big help. Also less stressed. I pick out what I want to use for a signature and I put it in a folder. I set up a few folders as well. I use only that folder. No more oh I want to use this, oh wait I forgot about that. Less stress less mess. It’s helped so much. After I did that the first time I couldn’t make enough. Scraps I put in a notebook. Each signature leftovers I glue only those on the same pages. Next signature different pages. That’s really helped with stepping outside of the box. I also don’t wait to glue the scraps down either. Big help. Less mess less stress.
I so need to use up more of my stash. this inspired me. I have a metal trunk, a suitcase and boxes of vintage papers alone. Been having friends over with free rein to make anything out of my stash to share to love.
Oh my gosh! I wanna come over toooo! 😂😂 That is so sweet of you! But wow I can just imagine your stash! It's probably a treasure trove! The good news is, it's still getting used a bit right!? Lol I hope you have fun making stuff over there!! Thanks for swinging by! XoXo ❤️
I did something like that with my Mom’s cedar chest. It was full of treasures my grandmother had crafted: crochet, knitting, tatting, cut work, cross stitch, embroidery and so on. A select few friends got to come over and choose something, some i gifted as wedding or wedding shower gifts to relatives. It made me feel good and people loved it.
I am going to make one of these for my sister in law for christmas. She will love this kind of thing am sure to make memories in her book and so fourth though out the year, if it'll last as long as that lol

This may sound a bit odd.... But thank you so much for being pleasant, as well as having useful content. You're one of the only Americans that I can listen to. I mostly watch the European junk journalists because they're calm. I'm not sure if you've ever watched or noticed any of these other channels, but there are some loud, strange Americans that like the sound of their own voice; even making strange noises. I can't stand listening to them. 🤷🏽♀️ So thank you for being pleasant. I'm now a new subscriber. 😉👍
Hi Jenni! I am so happy you enjoyed this video! I definitely have my loud and strange moments at times lol I think we get excited about our Hobby and all of the fun things that it entails! Emotions fly high! I appreciate you subscribing also happy to have you along for the journey. 💕
This is a great video April! I remember when I first got interested in jj. The first videos I watched were how to make a signature and choose paper. This is going to help a lot of newbies! Such pretty journals. Do you have any videos on the different sizes? Like that explain TN's B6, etc?
Hey there Stephanie!! I did the same thing too!! It's always helpful, to see the ways of another! Also I don't have a video for that, but I can probably do a quick one sometime soon! ❤️ Thanks for the sweet comment!! ❤️
Thank you sooooo much for this video!!! I have been accumulating junk journal supplies but have yet to make one. I feel so intimidated to make one which is ridiculous. Your video was just what I needed!! It was so informative and seems like something I can do. ☺
Lol! I know the feeling! It's always curious when it comes time to start! I hope you found some bits in here that were helpful!! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and have some fun! Dig in!! ❤️ XoXo
This is SO helpful! I wish I'd seen this before I started my first journal. I'm overthinking it though which isn't helping . I'm so glad I got referred to your channel from the JJ chat group. Thanks April
Ahh thank you so much! I am so happy you find this helpful! Definitely don't over think, just go with what feels right and pleases you! JJJ chat is so awesome! When I started out I learned so much from there too! It's an excellent resource and I'm happy you found me that way! Have fun creating! ❤️ XoXo
LoveLOVELove your chill factor! Aaand about 3/4 of your paper selection is to die for! Which is high since I'm pretty particular... Signatures!! YES YES. I'm excited to see the remainder of your process! Because journal making appeals to me in the biggest way + I've a good amount of awesome singles as well as paper packs with which to play! FunFUNFun ~X🐦X~
Yass! That's perfect then that you have a bunch of singles Shannon! I'm so happy you liked my paper too! I definitely recommend digging into yours and having a go at it! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
As someone who is still "gathering supplies" (ie: I'm too scared to start a junk journal for some reason), this was really helpful and I'm glad RUclips recommended your channel to me. Only thing, and maybe it's just me, is that it seemed just a bit TOO close; I felt like I was missing something because some of the pages seemed off camera. Just an observation.
Hey there Becca!! I am so happy you decided to swing by and have a look! I hope you found some bits in the video that will help you jump into getting started! And thank you so much for the feedback! I will definitely take that into account next time!! 😉 Thanks a bunch! ❤️ XoXo
I really enjoyed watching this video April. Could you please tell me what you look for in your scrapbook papers, as yours are just so lovely. Thanks for sharing, Amanda xox
Hey there Amanda! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! It's going to sound weird but when I'm picking papers it's usually based on the mood/tone I have in mind for a book. So... Feelings lol. But to kind of put it in a more "visual" light - I am drawn to a variety of patterns. Both bold/clear and shabby/rustic. But in all cases I love punched in colors that are striking. I hope this helps! ❤️ XoXo
Thanks for replying. I totally get what you're saying. I guess I'm a bit frustrated as I can only find very cutesy stuff which I'm not into. I want to use deep purples and reds with black tones but can't seem to find what I want. I also would prefer not to use digis for my base papers in a journal. So I guess I will keep looking. Luckily, I have a good supply of thrifted fabric and laces in the colours I want. Take care xox
Lol! Suzanne I love the not matched look too! Haha I guess it really only matters if you want a "theme" or a "look" 😂😂 I will have to add a little ledger paper to your happy mail pile! Thanks for swinging by! XoXo ❤️
Hi April! Ugh - “finding what I have!” How can that be so true? But it is. Great video!! I enjoyed seeing your process. Thank you for sharing. I loved seeing the different sizes at the end, and the tall journal is adorable!! Pretty paper, by the way. xxLynn
Lol well then that's perfect!! You fit right on in wihh us! ❤️ ❤️ Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! I appreciate you subscribing as well! Happy to have you along for the journey Pamela! ❤️
Thank you so much Galena! The next video is about to be live where I work on the cover and sew in the signature! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
This was very helpful to me. ♥️ This showed me your thought process in selecting the elements of a signature. I'm sporadic in making journals, so your method reminded me of how to create interesting signatures with the various papers and the basic folds. (I tend to have a "schizophrenic" creative pattern of doing different projects and not completing one or the other LOL! Bad, bad habit.)
Lol! That's okay! Just have fun working in your favorite method of creating!! I am so happy you found some helpful bits in this video!! Thank you for stopping by!! ❤️ XoXo
🤣🤣🤣I'm literally cracking up right now! I forgot I put that in there haha! That's exactly how it felt too! The sun had gone down and everything! Lol Thank you so much Stacey! ❤️ XoXo
Hey there Cathy! The next video is coming up in just a few minutes! I won't be decorating pages really because these books are going to be plain. But sometime in the future I will come back and do another book where we can do the pages!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️

Hey there Jadawiga! I store my papers in 3 different stacks on a bookcase shelf. So I have the patterned paper, aim paper and then the smaller sized paper pads. And then... Lol... I keep my "hoard' papers in a plastic 12x12 storage case. Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
Thank you for this. When you have a specific theme to use family pictures of my daughter growing up, do you follow the same process. I need this push as right now have been running of pictures of her, for example ballet , travel in Paris. Do you assemble your signatures then do your pictures. Help!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. Yes I would definitely say put your signatures together because that's going to help you decide what papers you want to use as the backdrop for your photos. Once you have your signatures all together then you can start adding your pictures and any other bits and pieces that you like to add to your book. Hope that helps! Thanks for swinging by!XoXo ❤️
@@PinkOddBird I do have some Monet 12x12 paper, do you add it in when you add your picture, in this case Paris. I think I need a support or zoom group to work together! Thank you. What is the angel who were talking about?
@@TheZatKen it depends on if you want the paper to be part of your signature or if you want to add the paper behind the photo sort of like a photo mat. You could do it either way.

Thank you so much Pearl! ❤️ XoXo if it werebip to me I'd probably save them forever haha! But, we cannot do that right. 😂😉😉
Yes yes yes!! I remember the first vid you did on this subject! I try to do some of the same things as you, but I do end up overthinking it. Your style is so fun and I always enjoy watching you WERK!!
Thank you so much Kim! Well your signatures always turn out great! So whatever you're doing - do more that!! Lol XoXo ❤️

Ahh that sounds so awesome. I hope you have fun making some. Good to keep the mind busy. Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
Loved this video! Your process was simple, stress free and just plain fun to watch...and a beautiful stash of papers too!🙂
Thank you so much!! I am so glad to know that! I always get worried that I'm confusing people or being too extra lol. Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
I'm committed to mass making signatures this month and next! You are so inspiring!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! Have fun!
Dig in!! ❤️ XoXo
Love this video and watching your process 💕💕
Thank you so much! 😘😘💕💕
FunFUNFun
~X🐦X~
Oh my lol I am not coordinated. Mine never match lol 😂 love your ledger paper it’s not common in Australia xxxx
Lol! Suzanne I love the not matched look too! Haha I guess it really only matters if you want a "theme" or a "look" 😂😂 I will have to add a little ledger paper to your happy mail pile! Thanks for swinging by! XoXo ❤️
PinkOddBird oh my thanks that’s awesome and I always love watching xxxxx
Hi April! Ugh - “finding what I have!” How can that be so true? But it is. Great video!! I enjoyed seeing your process. Thank you for sharing. I loved seeing the different sizes at the end, and the tall journal is adorable!! Pretty paper, by the way. xxLynn
The main problem for is the actual "finding" part 🤣🤣 Thank you so much Lynn! ❤️ XoXo
Oh my goodness, you are my kind of odd. Or I am your kind of odd. New subbie! This is simple and great.
Lol well then that's perfect!! You fit right on in wihh us! ❤️ ❤️ Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! I appreciate you subscribing as well! Happy to have you along for the journey Pamela! ❤️

I would love to see how you make your fabric covers. Love your work.
Thank you so much Galena! The next video is about to be live where I work on the cover and sew in the signature! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
Very helpful for a beginner like me. Thank you
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it helpful! ❤️
❤️ XoXo
Good video for beginners! Thank you
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you for this. So streamlined!
Thank you so much Mary! ❤️ XoXo
So how many physical pages are in your signatures? This is a really great video! Thanks for sharing.
I love your " one eternity later" 😆
🤣🤣🤣I'm literally cracking up right now! I forgot I put that in there haha! That's exactly how it felt too! The sun had gone down and everything! Lol Thank you so much Stacey! ❤️ XoXo
Where's the next video? Ya know binding & finishing the pages. I enjoyed your video.
Hey there Cathy! The next video is coming up in just a few minutes! I won't be decorating pages really because these books are going to be plain. But sometime in the future I will come back and do another book where we can do the pages!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
Thank you love your work you make it so easy I didn't know where to star tor where to begin going to have a go Thank you .
Thank you so much Linda! I am happy you found this to be helpful!! Thanks for swinging by! XoXo ❤️

Thank you so much! ❤️
You are so easy to understand and to follow, your teaching is amazing. Your such an inspiration. Have you ever tried to laminate your covers? TFS GOD BLESS.......
I was actually just talking to one of my friends a couple of days ago saying that I should get a laminator! I'm surprised that I haven't gotten one yet but I'm definitely going to look into it. Thank you so much for the kind words also and I appreciate you taking the time to watch this video!
Please tell me what brand of guillotine you're using. Thankyou.
I love your fearlessness, diving in!
Just a newbie journaling.
Hi Sandra! It's the fiskars pro-cision rotary cutter. I absolutely love it! Thanks for watching!
That was fun to watch and how do you organize your papers
Hey there Jadawiga! I store my papers in 3 different stacks on a bookcase shelf. So I have the patterned paper, aim paper and then the smaller sized paper pads. And then... Lol... I keep my "hoard' papers in a plastic 12x12 storage case. Thank you for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
I learned SO much from this!!! 👏 ty!
Thank you so much - that makes me SO happy to know!! ❤️ XoXo
PinkOddBird on to watching more of your stuff. Hugs
Being British,I thought you finished up by saying "to the loo!" I'm guessing on retrospect though that it was toodle loo! :D Anyway,as a new subscriber,I stopped by to say how much I love your videos. So helpful! Thanks!
Lollll!!! You are the second to say that! Haha! Thank you so much for the sweet comment, for subscribing and for taking the time to watch! XoXo ❤️
