That was a great fishing session. What a great way to end the day sitting together grinding on tacos and reliving the days fishing. I run a similar setup with 30# braid and 20# fluorocarbon leader with the same FG knot connection. I have used a 8’6” Lamiglas rod for years but last year I switched to a 10’7” Okuma Hawaiian Custom Series Menpachi Rod. Keep the videos coming!
You are so right! After a day like that, a recap is definitely necessary. The set up is definitely optimal for Casting hundreds of times within a session and getting great distance. We are going out tomorrow to see if we can duplicate this session.

went back two days later to see if it was a fluke.... Mario landed and released up to 15 fish... Got another limit and our buddy ended up starting with the LCFM110 and switched at the end... That's the next video! They All bite caught 5 in a short session in his next video. :) Thanks Ish!

Honda man, with so many surf Fisherman there, what is the best pole there? From another video you recommend a salmon/steelhead rod 9 to 10 feet. What will give a good control on distance L, ML, MH, I assume not a Heavy right? Thx for your always responds.
Lol thanks for the support on this channel too. If you throw lures like we do, a salmon steel head rod is the best for that specific technique. Ones to look into would be the okuma celilo 9’6”- you can find it at kit.co/Hook2cook
What I’ve been using recently is a Phenix trifecta lite 1003ML (discontinued, but you can still find them by calling beentherecaughtthat.com. The best distance is with a rod with lots of bend

@@Hook2Cook I do mostly Bass fishing at the lake. Gearing up to start surf fishing. So I'm studying your videos like a student learning from the professors. I head to the central coast at least 5 times a year and pier fishing is ok, but want to to start catching some monsters.
