Been on three Disney Cruises, most recently the Wish, and the best way I can put it is they don’t offer everything, it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you enjoy Disney, the things they do provide are at a level that goes unmatched by any other cruise line.
For most of them, I feel like they’re actually together. They just trade off the camera and are very clever in the edits, but this time I think they really are on different cruises!
Love seeing these comparison videos. I am laughing at the “sail away parties” Virgin: Take a glass of champagne and let’s party!!! Disney: Take your magic wands and say Wishes Do Come True
We're platinum on DCL but as two adults with no kids, we fell in love with Virgin. The inclusive, welcoming vibe onboard is amazing. Been on two, have two more booked and looking at booking a third on Resilient out of San Juan.
@@jules2363Hubs and I feel the same! We are also platinum with DCL, but VV has been a game changer. The food is incredible! Setting sail on our 3rd in 2.5 years Friday!
I hope you guys do a family cruise on the disney wish with noa. I’d love to see her reaction to it as well as seeing griff and alyssa reaction to her experiencing it
not finished with the video yet but im pretty sure the octopus toy is just an innocent cute toy that virgin voyages gives their guests - i think its their spirit animal or something
Pro tip for Disney cruise line: they may not have a drink package but they do have a drink of the day available at any bar that is around $5-6 and they are pretty good drinks and they definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol
Drowning in a pool is a quiet event, especially in crowded pools. They have you come out to make sure there aren't any accidents that have happened unnoticed.
The Octopus is like a Duck - each virgin cruise has a different colour. Red for scarlet; purple for valiant and blue octopus for Resilient....these correspond to the little cake in the Sweet spot counter
These are the only two lines I’ve cruised on, so it was fun to see the comparison. I spent a lot of time on VV thinking “this is bizzaro Disney”. Similar elements to the trip, but done so differently. Bimini did make me wish Castaway had some pools.
When Griff said, My dinner looks like Murder on a plate I almost peed my pants. This is a terrific idea for a video. Alyssa next time you need to eat the ear first when you have Mickey waffles.
Great vlog guys. It would be interesting to know the price of both, balcony vs outside staterooms. Laughing at the two different sail away vibes and the relaxing on the sun loungers. I know which one id prefer to be on and its not the one with the screaming children🙈😂
The Disney Treasure sets sail this December and does 7 day cruises, same layout as the Wish. However, inaugural prices are insane, we booked an extended veranda in Feb 2025 for what an inside stateroom costs in Dec 2024. That said, I'd recommend booking the Fantasy in late fall if you've never done Disney. The Fantasy not as expensive overall and has a better layout, and fall sailing save even more money. The Wish does have a more elegant feel and a very beautiful atrium but the Dream and Fantasy are better ships IMO.
Griff and Alyssa, I love the comparison shows. They are very informative. But I miss you two together too. You are doing a great job on variety in your shows and it is appreciated. Love you guys. ❤
Griff said “Alyssa’s not here I can get it on with myself” 😂😂😂 “Oops that came out wrong”, see yourself to door Griff 😂 Seriously have been 2 of my favorites for years!!
Awesome video. We just sailed on the Disney Dream. Our dinner experience was seamless as our food came very fast. Interesting and sounds like the Wish still has some kinks to work out.
Would love to see a cost comparison between the two. I've heard Disney is great but very pricey. Would be curious how the two would compare since you had similar rooms.
😂 Cruise math hack: price out Icon of the seas first - everything else will seem like a bargain too good to pass up. Sitting here pricing Disney and Virgin as alternatives after pricing Icon this morning and realizing that Virgin and Disney are dirt cheap in comparison + plus soda is included.😂🤷🏻♀️
@kathybrem880 do a 5 day cruise of you can on another ship. 3 days isn't long enough and you can get a 5 day cruise on another disney ship for the price of a 3 day on the Wish.
Soda being included doesn’t justify the 40% markup for what is essentially a daycare on the water. Cruise carnival and buy all their packages (especially their newer ships) and you’ll be blown away with the included options
We've done 21 Disney cruises so far! We've tried other lines and they just don't have the same feel. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And we have made lots of friends on our cruises. Guests on other lines aren't as open to meeting others.
We just booked a cruise on the Wish!!! Thank you for this informative video. We are seniors going with family May 2025. Looks like good wholesome fun. The Virgin cruise looks intriguing!!! Maybe someday. ❤
In defense of Disney, they do have a captain's gala on 7 night & longer cruises. That's where you can get some complimentary drinks (maybe not champagne, but I prefer prosecco anyway. Have cocktails too). Though I do also wish they had complimentary drinks for the sail away party too.
sign me up for a Disney/Virgin cruise Mostly Virgin Thanks!! Virgin can just put in full length mirrors and I'm good. Oh and get rid of the goofy kid stuff. Alright. I vote for a virgin cruise
I had this conversation with friends earlier this week after their Cruise on Scarlet Lady. They found some things on Scarlet Lady was not kept in working order. They never saw their cabin steward who BTW didn’t straighten up their clothes as they do on Disney ships. The pool area on Virgin is not inviting and the app is poor. They had trouble finding their way around the ship. They found some of the entertainment staff to be rude when Bingo was delayed causing them to be late for their next appointment. The small things add up and it’s the small frustrations that can ruin a cruise. The food however, was outstanding by comparison and the Dj’s were excellent. I’ve cruised both as well and while Disney is the more beautiful and luxury cruise line, I prefer Virgin to Disney. They have the best food and music of all the major cruise lines.
I had a great cruise on the Scarlet lady and I went to the test kitchen. All the food that they served was magnificent was delicious. I have not been on Disney yet, but Virgin Voyages is pretty awesome.
I love these videos! I think I noticed a little faux pas. When Griff was dancing in the club, I thought it said Disney wish in the corner. Maybe I’m wrong 🤷🏻♀️. Regardless, I LOVE the video! Great job! ❤❤❤
I'm pretty sure the "clear the pool" events would be related to kids having serious bathroom accidents. They would need to dump a bunch of chemicals in. 😂
Im a Disney girl. While these 2 ships could not be more different in terms of theming, activities, and target audience, I noticed so many similarities. They are both very amenity inclusive. They are both luxury cruises with all of the features and personalization that make every guest feel pampered and elite. I think it comes down to if you are a young (or young at heart) couple wanting a romantic get away or a sexy party vibe, or a family or adult/adults wanting some wholesome magic. The included food seemed much more upscale and advenurous on Virgin. Disney food is delicious but plays it a bit safer in the main dining room. You did an excellent side by side. I did think it was kind of funny to watch bc I'm pretty sure you have been on both of these ships, but you are reporting like it's all new. To be honest it also seems like you can have fun on both lines as a solo travelor, but I think I would only want to go with a companion to share the experience with.

Crazy how long it took you to get your food on the Wish! We just sailed on a Very Merrytime cruise at the end of November, and our food service with so much faster than when we are on the dream. I really think that your waiters make the difference.
I was on the Dream back in April. I'm not sure if they were just getting used to the 7 night schedule, but our food took forever to get to us. Only reason we didn't leave immediately after dessert was because we were in Animator's Palate on the night with Animation Magic.
I think I would like the food on virgin more. I also like that the virgin price includes tips. I wonder why the food on Disney took so long when they are so used to serving families. Little kids wouldn’t be patient enough for that.

Jazzy. I had my FIRST Aperol Spritz because of you on the Carnival Panorama. It wasn’t my cup of tea because I’m not a big champagne drinker… however you were my motivation!!!! #CHEERS
I haven’t been on virgin, but there were some spots where the theming just looked very lack luster. Like the stair wells just looked like there was nothing to it but just white stairwells that made you feel like you were walking into work… idk seemed strange to me.
The cameraman is taking a picture of the mascot costume cost Disney character called Walt Disney World in side Disney cruise line in the ship they’re inside 10:41
Never been on cruise but may in future. I wouldn't do Disney with all the kids, but also would not choose the loud party vibe. Guess I'm getting old...lol. Enjoy your videos!
You guys are so fun to watch! You are my go-to when planning a next vacation to get ideas and info. Heading to AK in June on RCL! Thanks for all the great info!
The contrast looked hilarious!! Like the Virgin party scenes to a Disney sing-a-long
I was laughing SO HARD that I LITERALLY cried! HA HA HA! So good.
Right!😂😂😂
Been on three Disney Cruises, most recently the Wish, and the best way I can put it is they don’t offer everything, it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you enjoy Disney, the things they do provide are at a level that goes unmatched by any other cruise line.
accurate by far, talking of disney and specially of the characters, if you enjoy this, your stay there matches anything
Great job on the video guys! The “VS” series has been great! ❤😂🎉
For most of them, I feel like they’re actually together. They just trade off the camera and are very clever in the edits, but this time I think they really are on different cruises!
Glad you like them!
Love seeing these comparison videos. I am laughing at the “sail away parties”
Virgin: Take a glass of champagne and let’s party!!!
Disney: Take your magic wands and say Wishes Do Come True
Haha 😂
I didn't know about sail away parties- I missed that AND the Captain's Party on MSC.. heard they were great though..😢
After cruising on Disney, I honestly don't think any other cruise line could come close to the satisfaction that they gave me.
Love that for you!

not finished with the video yet but im pretty sure the octopus toy is just an innocent cute toy that virgin voyages gives their guests - i think its their spirit animal or something
I think you’re right!
I was going to ask what the octopus was all about??
But they want you to pay for it, right? I thought Griff showed a price tag for $12.99?
The octopus is the theme of Scarlet Night…not a disgusting toy, lololol

😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂🎉 yes

It was delicious tho!
But how about those churro Mickey waffles? I am ADDICTEDl
I love when both of you'll are on the cruise together, but I still appreciate the hard work you all put into your content. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
GREAT VIDEO! DCL & VV are my favorite cruise lines, so this was so fun to watch! Awesome video idea :)

Alyssa you do a great job with the food reviews
Food is a VERY important part of my cruise and any vacation I'm on

I really doubt they go on cruises separately. Griff is just great at editing!
I no longer have the time off of work for cruises, but Disney, while expensive, is the favorite or the 3 cruiselines I’ve tried.
Very impressed with the editing on this one!! Great job, guys! Sold on Virgin Voyages for sure now ❤️
Alyssa our msc mustar drill took a total of 8 minutes watched video in room popped to deck 7 for a card scan, on the meraviglia this past week.
The Disney looks so much better. The only thing I don’t like is how short the Wish cruises are. I wish they had longer ones.
I wish there was 7 days too!
