What's the fuel consumption in sport mode like? My '17 Golf 1.6 TDi DSG really likes to lug the engine, so I'll give the sports mode a try. Is the fuel consumption really bad in S?
Yes both need maintenance as for the manual you will need to change the clutch and flywheel at some point. DSG needs to be serviced every 40k miles. So you be the judge of that 👍🏼
Hi! Stuck between 2 golfs. 1.6 tdi dsg with 130k good mot history! 2.0 tdi manual with 176k and okay mot history! However has had a dpf delete and remap! Help please! What's more reliable, which has less issues and what's cheaper to maintain?
@@KkKk-px2le both cars same to maintain, 1.6 tdi will be cheaper on fuel, both have similar reliablity, and the 1.6 has dsg gearbox very smooth and fast i would personally get the 1.6tdi one miles better and if it slow for you, get a economy tune will get your more power and even better fuel economy
I’m obsessed with these golf’s
Great cars
Me too honestly
Me too and I only 15
Bro i cant stop my appetite about golfs bro there just great cars
The engine seems to rev a lot before it changes gear. My passat changes up much sooner, I'm curious as go why?
This was in race mode probably.
@@ShaksAutos ah okay

Not really that bad but it will take a dip.
@@ShaksAutos Obviously;) The biggest problem is the noise, it's really quite loud at 2.5k rpm.
Hi. Thinking of getting one of these what do you recommend to look out fir
Timing belt and gearbox services.
Do you mean if they have been replaced recently?
Is that good or bad
Would u say the dsg box is reliable over the manual I’m looking at a 14 plate with 56k miles ?

@@ShaksAutos ye I’ll probs go for the dsg
@@ShaksAutoshow much does a dsg service cost compared to a regular service and I’m torn between a 1.6tdi seat Leon or this what do u think?
does this apply for a 2009-13 golf
@idontcare807
@idontcare807thanks for that, Just saved me cos I was gonna buy the 1.6 DSG but imma go for manual now
How reliable are these VW MK7 auto gearboxes? Looking to get one just curious as to your experience with it
Very good gearboxes. If you getting the DSG version, make sure it has been serviced as per manufacturer between 40k to 60k miles.

Go for the 1.6 with DSG. Less mileage and automatic.
@@ShaksAutos why, what's the reasoning?

Why is the idle speed higher than usual?
It is normal
he was sport mode, which keeps the rpm higher and lower gears for better acceleration, normally it would shift at 2000 rpm since its a diesel.
Which camera are you using?
GoPro 10 hero
Brill, is this semi auto?

@Shaaks POV recommend any android entertainment systems?
Air suspension?
No

What the point of a review when they DONT TALK
I’m sure there are reviews where they talk. This is a first person experience of the drive and walk around.
@@ShaksAutos Dw theres plenty of people that prefer these types of videos
It’s a pov test drive mate not a review 🤡
