I love this car. I'm in the USA, so 2015 is the only model year I can buy the MK7 Golf TDI, due to the VW Diesel Emissions Scandal. I'd love to get a used one. I'm not sure if I would get the manual, although it is more fun. I think the MK7 Golf is much better than the current MK8 Golf. In fact, I think the MK7 Golf is perhaps the best designed compact vehicle ever. It's just a genius design!
I hate this modern ultra long gears :( my 2008 1.9 tdi saab is almost at redline at top speed, that's the right way. Otherwise you have to always downshift
@aaronx137 Absolutely not, the top speed is higher only if ECU mapped, stock the top speed is at the peak power. Proper top speed gearing is having the peak power rpm match top speed or close to it. The 1.9 saab 150hp with ecu map to 190 has almost perfect gearing, stock 6th is a bit longer. And for fuel consumption in diesel the rpm range isn't an in gas engines. 18km/l at 130km/h with short 6th gear
@aaronx137 This is absolutely right. As you can see in the video the gearing perfectly fits the car and the environment it's driven in. This is a perfectly balanced transmission and engine combo for spirited driving aswell as for driving with a focus on consumption.
2.0 TDI is a great engine.
Practical, comfortable, economical mile eater that is fun to drive. Literally the perfect car lol

Nice
Would be cool to see an ECU tuned top speed
Pls Nissan GT-R R35 next pls I beg you 😢🙏🏻
He only test drives boring cars so you won't get a gtr video. Lol.

I don't agree, with longer gears u get a higher top speed. Besides, u get better fuel consumption.

@@droidfloid That engine doesn't have peak power at 3300 rpm...
for what on normal disel car? Remember my megane 1.5 dci 78kw on autobahn 130kph have 3000rpm, terrible for long distance.
