Shawn Marion is one player from the 2000s that is consistently overlooked. Obviously, he was one of the best perimeter defenders of the decade (still a crime that he was a DPOY candidate a number of times, but still was not selected to any All-Defensive Teams), but he was also a really good slasher and play finisher.

AK-47 was like a proto Ben Simmons that could shoot better, and was far less afraid to, but didn't have the green light to do so or run the offense/handle the ball as much.
@@jonathanreveron6642 yessir. Us Central Florida folks know him real well. Lewis was that dude. @@shannonmaloney3626 The fact that it could be applied to any player who showcased or produced such “magical” levels of talent speaking awe to the masses is more than enough reason for the word,”Magic” being a better nickname than one that can only be applied due to a jersey number..like literally only have a jersey number of 47 and be a top 5 3pt shooter in the game and that is enough to warrant the nickname.

All great mentions!! Jermaine sat out most of his first years coming straight out of HS on the STACKED Portland Jailbreakers. Glad we finally saw his talents in Indiana. Totally on point with Rip. Instead of crying and acting like a victim, he accepted the challenge and was a HELL OF A PLAYER in Detroit!! Alot of people sleep on one of the most entertaining and best teams ever in that Sacramento team. You could go down the line of that roster and see the talent, even Doug Christie. AK47 is by far the dopest nickname ever as well lol.
Solid list. You convinced me with Jamison point. Didn’t know he scored that much that long, and he often times was the better player ok the teams he was on now that I remember. Lewis and O’Neal are other good ones as well. The rest are players to me that actually got solid recognition while they played and after too.
AK47 was on of my favorite players of that era. He was just everywhere--a fantasy basketball stud, when he was healthy (that was sometimes a problem with him). My best comparisons for Antawn Jamison are Cedric Ceballos and Bernard King, because they were all masters at moving without the ball. Jamison being able to shoot as a 4 was great, but he had a knack for always knowing where to be and finding the open spaces within an offense, which meant you could plug him into any offense and he'd be a fit. He had such a high IQ. He would have been a stud in today's game. RIP Hamilton was another one who was great moving without the ball, a lot like Reggie Miller, but more of a midrange shooter than from beyond the arc. Rashard Lewis' game dropped off when he went to Orlando because they never used him right. He became an all star in Seattle under Coach Nate MacMIllan, one of the most underrated coaches of all time, IMHO. MacMillan used him more as a post player small forward. Lewis was soooo long for a three and had an exceptional post fade away that you could push him far out of the paint and he had the range to still hit it consistently over smaller small forwards. If opposing teams tried to put a bigger guy on him, he was fast/quick enough to take them outside. Orlando had Dwight Howard and so they turned him into a 3-point specialist only, which made him overpriced when he got that fat contract, but like I said, they used him wrong. They should have alternated him more in post situations. I know that's hard to do with Dwight clogging the paint, though. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
