Very thoughtful video! You made so many great points, especially about getting additional meds.
Your stay at home look is lovely 💕
One more group of folks to thank, our delivery people. Mail carriers, UPS, FedEx and the truckers delivering food and supplies to the grocery stores.
I am going to check our your work out videos now!😊 Hope you have a wonderful day!
Yes! Thanks for mentioning all the delivery people!! xo ~a.
My partner is a USPS carrier so thank you for acknowledging them, they are getting slammed right now with the increase in orders. If anyone is laid off your post office might be hiring, our main hub is actively hiring and they're doing their training in-house.
Thank you so much for this vid. I am over in Oregon where we’re in self isolation. Our CEO is amazing to set us all up and work from home. That means a lot of video conferencing. I’ve not been taking care of my skin or wearing makeup for months - lack of self care after losing my brother. Just the last few weeks I was starting to get it back together but at a loss as to where to start trying to find the right skin tone for foundation and now with the pandemic, I was at a loss as to how to make up for the video chats. I just want you to know your videos go deeper than our skin and how much it has meant to me (& my husband has said I’m seeming a bit more mentally healthy as well).
People are brainwashed these vaccines are not good. If people are still allowed opinions here.
I guess it is pretty randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
Don’t forget to thank our truckers who bring our food & medical supplies to us. Without them our shelves would never be restocked. 🚚💚
Pamela B Both of my sons are truckers. They are working very long hours right now and it is difficult to stop and even grab lunch or go to the bathroom. Restaurants and rest stops are closed. So many people are shopping at small convenience stores where they frequent, and not much there. If they go down we are in big trouble.
That's so true, w/o truck drivers, our products will never get to our tables, etc , etc
And all types of manufacturing sites! Those workers are also essential so you will continue to have consumer goods available.
Thank you!!!
Thank you. My husband and I own a small trucking company and have been working hard to get much needed merchandise/food to the stores.
I’m a UPS driverin California. This is insane, we are working 14 hour days and they won’t give us helpers because of social distancing. We are as busy as during Christmas time. Stay safe and inside people.
I was just thinking that we should be applauding the UPS and FedEx drivers. You are so much appreciated! What would we do without you?
Thank you Alicia! I live here in California and I appreciate the fact that I’m still getting much needed deliveries. You and truck drivers are keeping this state going! Stay well my friend!
CA resident here: I can't thank you and your colleagues enough for doing your very best to keep the rest of us supplied with necessities. I made a point a few days ago to thank my UPS delivery guy effusively, and I was shocked to hear him say that I was the first customer who'd thanked him.
Alicia Gaines my hubby works for UPS too
Wishing you all the best. Stay safe. Don't wait for people to answer the door, unless you need a signature. Carry antiseptic wipes in ziploc bags. I rip the wipes into smaller strips if just wiping pens etc. Wear a mask and gloves if you can. You can even have a moist soapy washcloth in a ziploc in the cab for wiping your hands before a snack. Take care and thank you for all you do. Avoid public restrooms if you can.
I’m an acute care speech therapist in a large hospital. We’re still going to work along with out PT and OT colleagues. I find your videos very calming and a great escape, Angie. To anyone who’s listening, please write your legislators and demand immediate mass production of personal protective equipment, especially masks and N95 masks. It’s a very scary time to work in healthcare. We get our temperature taken at the hospital door before entering every day. We walk the halls without any masks and treat patients without the proper kind of mask. We stay up at night wondering what we’re being exposed to and bringing home to our families. We fear for the lives of our colleagues especially the doctors and nurses and respiratory therapists. I share this only in hopes that you’ll all write your legislators!! It’s the best thing you can do to help other than staying HOME!
Thanks for encouraging people to do the right thing, Angie. Thanks for acknowledging all those who go under the radar in this fight. And thanks for the videos that take our minds off this darn virus!
Embeth 44 my daughter is an OT still going into work. The speech therapist and myself ( school nurse ) are providing our services via distance learning- getting creative!
So true, I am a radiologic technologist working for a well known healthcare provider in So CA. I am bringing my own N95 mask from home to wear as I perform chest xrays on sick patients! We get our temps taken before our shift as well. We are told there are no N95 masks for us. Or that they are not needed. Been in this profession over 25 yrs and never experienced the nagging fear and anxiety as I drive to work. My poor patients are terrified of the virus, and of me! Praying this ends soon.
K Ham I am working at a public hospital also. Very stressful. I work in IT. We all need masks. This transmits in the air.
K Ham Best of luck to you both. Stay healthy!
kzel Best of luck! I hope you and your daughter both stay healthy!
my partner is a delivery driver for a chemist here in the UK and he's out every day making sure people who have to self isolate have their regular meds. i pray for his safety every morning and it's wonderful to hear you thanking those who aren't doctors and nurses. every person having to go out and work, as you say deserve our gratitude, from doctors to those volunteering their time to help others in need. stay safe everyone, and your makeup looks amazing!
I love the calm way you are talking about what is happening right now. It’s like you said, a strange new normal
We have been under complete lockdown here in Italy for weeks now and I know many stayed in the US are following.
I think your advice is very sound, be prepared, stick up but don’t hoard.
Because even after weeks of lockdown, we still ha e out grocery stores fully stocked. There will only be a shortage of food if people hoard
It is lovely at still connect and watch you put in your makeup
Stay safe and healthy
HappilyHealthFull we’re all praying for you! Italy has been amazing during this lockdown. It’s been beautiful to see so many folks staying safe and isolated and yet united. Stay safe🙏🏻💙
Lorrie Fontana thank you very muc❤️
It has been beautiful ti witness the unity here. People in my bs kyats is ging from their balconies with each other, signs up everywhere reading Andra tutto bene 🌈 - everything is going to be ok. The stores are calm and stocked. I am American, but this is one of the best places to be at the moment
Thank you for your kind words
Stay safe and healthy
Thanks so much for letting us know how it is in Italy! Gives me the sense it's going to be ok. Take care of yourself! xo ~angie
HotandFlashy it will all be ok
As they say here Andra tutto bene 🌈
Everything is going to be ok
Sending so much love to all of you in Italy from the USA. You are a beautiful country and people.
I feel the same way. If I get up and get dressed and get ready for the day, it makes me feel better about the day. If I've been sick for a few days, it's on the first things I do when I'm feeling better.
I'm a hygienist and we are shut down by the ADA until April 20. I have so much spare time on my hands and already going stir crazy. Doing a lot of spring cleaning, switching my closet over, meal prepping and watching many RUclips videos ....especially the older ones I haven't had a chance to watch yet. Thankfully my husband still has a job and my two boys. I can't wait until this nightmare is over. Thank you for keep making new videos. I always look forward to them. Stay well Angie to you and your family!
One half of an old retired couple here. My face is loving having no makeup on it. I'm doing my usual skincare routine and I'm actually amazed at how good I look without makeup! I'm also taking this time to transition to gray hair. I'm normally a dark blond who colors to lighter blond so transitioning to gray isn't going to be a huge shock. I started the process when I went to Florida in December so I have a few months under my belt. I figured I would get my hair colored again when I arrived back home in Michigan--but now that we are on lock-down, I decided NOW is the time to go all in.
I've always been someone that gets up early, works out, showers and puts on make-up EVERY Day, even if I'm just staying home! I walk my dog everyday, so at least I'm getting outside. I'm in California so am hoping for some sunny days soon! Take care everyone - enjoy your time with your family and pets!
It's sunny here in Louisiana and I've enjoyed that!
When I was in college, I lead an aerobics dance class to become a certified instructor. I put on MU and then worked out, then showered and put on MU again.
@@themermaidstale5008 Wow. That's devotion. When in college I took an aerobics dance clase three times a week. LOVED IT. But I dont recall ever reapplying makeup. It's been a while. LOL
Thanks Angie for the calming talk and everyday look. I am working from home but the past couple of days I have had to make myself leave off the news for a good part of the day. It can get to be too much 24/7. I am trying to do what I am supposed to do but I also remind myself that in the end God is in control and for this reason I won’t panic. I’m also getting my tomato plants ready to put out after Easter so that’s something to look forward to! And I am looking at what needs to be done around the house now that I have more time to be here. My mom is in a nursing home so we were banned from seeing her a couple of weeks ago. I am thankful she has a wonderful attitude and takes whatever is asked of her in stride. I hope that everyone stays well!
oh Mary, That is just terrible about your mom. you know why she is staying positive? Because she loves You more than she loves herself. Its called Being A Mother! That's just one way she shows you. If she were being honest...she would really want to be with you all the time! I know cause I'm the mom a 2 grown sons who i want to see so much! Call her as much as you can stand to!!!
Mary Davidson 🙏🏻🙏🏻 for you and your mom.
BlingBea thank you!
Awesome video Angie! I’m a nurse and this is like nothing I’ve ever seen. Praying this moves swiftly. Please keep uploading. It’s a much needed relief. 🙏🏼❤️
Loved this chatty video. You’re so calming and reflect the reality of the situation and what we’re all feeling. Thank you for just being so normal!
I didn’t realize YT viewership was down; I would have guessed the opposite. I have definitely been supporting my favorite YTers as you said, and found a few new (to me) ones. I am smiling because you mentioned “Gene Gene the Dancing Machine” - so few people on YT mention the same cultural references from my younger days, it is a nice reminder. Thanks for sharing all these great ideas for people who live in places that are behind us - I hope it helps a lot of people. This was nice . Thank you, Angie, and stay well! 💗
Surprised to hear this. Since I've home, watching more YT. Mostly for yoga or ted talks.
My views are WAY DOWN. Which also surprised me. But it makes sense because you are also home with KIDS and they demand ALL THE attention...and even the AIR in the room.
I have a preschooler home from school - this is my first youtube video I've been able to watch in over a week!
I think people are glued to the news channels at the moment and keeping up to date with what is happening with this virus so that may take up a lot of the time they would normally use to watch YT.
Yes this is surprising as I never usually watch it but have been lately and found new people.
I totally get you on the wearing makeup even on a stay at home day. I feel so much better when I wear makeup! I've been ordering from Sephora and Ulta so I can keep having new things to try! Scary times, but my RUclips ladies are helping me get through it! Thank you!
Oh Angie, we are just beginning lock down and your video is such a lovely break. Stay well hot and flashy types where ever you are.
Angie, thank you so much for continuing the work you do! As an employee in the health care industry, I can't tell you how much being able to engage in my normal RUclips channels means to keep a sense of normalcy to life. I don't know if you truly understand the level of support this provides to so many of us...so I want to clap for you! Please know you are valued and appreciated!
My daughter is a Prison Officer and they never get mentioned, you know the prison she works in is an Assessment Prison & they have over 300 prisoners. They have new prisoners come in everyday and they don’t know what they have or where they have been and they are in the front line but never mentioned. It is frightening times. Anyway enjoyed your video as usual.
Good luck to your daughter !! 🙌🙌
Just found your channel and love a mature woman with makeup tips. I am a SAHM with severe health issues and depression and have found to take my mind off of Covid I love watching beauty channels and getting tips and playing with makeup and even doing some crafts online. Takes my mind off the news and helps me not worry a few minutes. I am so glad they are sharing this for free and also thanks to performers doing free concerts etc.
I’m a “essential” worker but am completely alone in my office. I didn’t wear makeup day one and started to panic. If I get pulled over, will anyone believe me that I’m actually working, looking so ugly! My Fed I.D. might not suffice. Today.....back to my normal routine and felt better today! Love your videos! Makes my Tuesday’s
Just FYI, Washington State had the 1st case of Corona Virus, in Seattle.
Love your channel!
Stay safe!
Great video Angie! It’s a perfect balance of current events and skincare, neither can be ignored during this time! I’ve also been enjoying all the extra time I have in my yard begging my plants to wake up and show themselves😁 I hope today is a day of healing and peace for everyone 🌸🙏🏻🌎🌞
I love the look. I have started doing a stay at home make-up. It does help me feel better. I want to remind you to be thankful to over the road truckers that are still out there delivering our supplies across the country. They are delivering the medical supplies and our food. They are often overlooked.
Thanks for the casual video. I’m an OR Nurse, sooooo I’m working of course. My kids are home, spending time inside with my family, and decluttering the house. I’m also doing a lot of cooking, AND EATING, making videos & of course watching everyone else’s. I love the distraction. Thanks so much.
You’re the best Angie. I liked that you talked about whats going on instead of acting like its not happenning. I feel like you are a friend not just someone on RUclips.
I put my mascara on even alone at home. I do not want to scare myself while walking by a mirror. :)
Me too! I don't walk to the mailbox without mascara and lip gloss on.
P.F. for the win!
Me too!!
I feel naked without sunblock, blush, mascara, and concealer. It's self-care. And I tried the Cerave 50 and it's white and mask like. Should have gotten the tinted. Great video!
@@marlynnek6449 Yes, I agree I can't stand it! The tinted sunscreen looked great on Angie.
Yup, garden prepped, some seeds sowed, tomato plants ready to go out and wanting to clean cupboards and closets. I have been sewing and helping people find lost family, their birth parents or friends they have lost touch with. I can usually accomplish all those within 24 hours. Lots of joy in that.
Oh, yes, I feel for the moms or dads at home with kiddos! My hat is definitely off to those, you mentioned, as well as the postal/delivery service.
Thank you for doing your videos so I can escape (for a short while) from the virus stuff. There are so many spam emails and false news about the virus that I, thankfully, ignore.
So! Your finished look is beautiful yet simple! If I do not put myself together (even lightly) I don’t get my butt moving. It is nice to see you and learn a few things (like asking for a 3 months supply of prescriptions during an emergency) and I’ll see you Friday!
Oh wow! YOu help people find their birth families...an angel? Isnt that what it;'s called? That's awesome.
Maria , that is so wonderful that you are helping people finding their lost family and friends xoxo Blessings Maria.
Agree 100% about sticking to your routine and putting on makeup and doing your hair. Makes a world of difference. When I pass a mirror when I have no makeup on I feel completely different than when I put my makeup on. Once you start letting down in 1 area, it becomes too easy to let down in every area. Do whatever it takes to make you feel better about yourself on a daily basis. Sometimes it’s the little things that work the best
I did my makeup with you today! I find doing a little hair and makeup each day makes me feel more perked up for the day. ❤️
Love that!
All you say is so true!!! I finally put makeup on after seeing myself in the mirror many times in the past few days!! It does make you feel better for sure, i have definitely cleared out much clutter and set up my home office (and lots of online shopping, bad)......I agree we need to appreciate all those people who are out there working, bringing our food, supplies and keeping the internet running!! I am proud of how we have all come together, it shows that we are a compassionate people.
Saw this on Facebook:
"Now, healthcare workers, grocery store employees and truckers are more important than NBA players, actors, & famous musicians."
So true!
They have always been more important than famous "celebrities"
@@ItalianoWithJodina Yes! And now the vast majority sees the truth of it. 😉
Thank you Angie. My daughter and son in law are essential personnel, so I am the one watching the 2 little granddaughters. Shout out to all care givers.
OMG! "The Gong Show!" I DO remember that. I used to love it as a child. Thanks for the Fitness Blender tip. Love the makeup. Great video -- combination of makeup and current events talk.
Agree with your opening statement 100%. Tried the no makeup thing for three days and got down in the dumps without realizing it. My dear Mom dressed up every day while we were kids and really til she passed away and I appreciate her loveliness more and more and I get older, and how valuable that habit is to your overall well-being.
Thank you for being here for us. I'm a helper and started running errands and transporting seniors to appointments 7 years ago and I'm still working. The senior living apartment I go to daily has restricted visitors, but I'm considered essential, thank goodness. I have one client in the hospital with pneuomonia and there are no visitors permitted not even family. Stay safe and happy. xo
I want to give a big shout out to the truck drivers and those in transportation who are getting the groceries and essential supplies to stores, hospitals, etc. Without them our country would come to a standstill.
This is why I feel guilty ordering non-essentials like makeup, though I'd like to. Also, the care involved in bringing in packages that have been touched by who knows how many people. :D
My son is one of them!
I honestly don’t mind everyone talking about it cause it gives me for example an idea how everyone is doing and coping with it all or some have amazing ideas. We both are parents that have no jobs right now and its been hard, very stressful and mentally I am getting drained honestly. Laying here watching RUclips with a migraine. Trying to fall asleep and can’t. Sending positive vibes and prayers to you all.
I'm a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist and we're hanging tough! I want to shout out the Grocery store workers, they are on the front lines and holding steady!!
I just started watching you tonight , I’m a nurse in California with eight year old twins . Your channel is such a fun break from what has been a pretty stressful time. Thank you for sharing this positive girly fun video.
Hi Angie, almost wasn’t gonna comment but had to say, this was a great video. A little makeup, mixed in with real life stuff. Best one I’ve seen!
My husband is a truck driver and although he may not be on the front lines. He deliver essential goods and we are thankful he's still working. I am glad to have your videos because I think a bit if normalcy is good for people right now. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
I have been sewing medical mask for local Dr Office and now working on some for the hospital ER department.
Patty Shannon thank you
That's wonderful. Is it hard to do? Do you have to be good at sewing? I have a sewing machine, but it's been a long minute since I've used it. Do you have any more information on how to go about doing this? Thanks :)
Patty Shannon fantastic. ❤️ keep safe 💋😷 greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Patty Shannon good going!!! I have a sewing machine that I haven’t even taken out of the box in two years and I would love to learn how to make masks but I don’t have any materials to work with so I am SOL!
Patty Shannon bless you❤️
Thank you Angie - you are always a pleasure to listen to, sending lots of health to all our friends in America from all your friends in England 🏴, stay safe xxxx
I love this video, I also love the tips on dealing with this virus.
I'm lucky that I live in the middle of cattle ranch land, my nearest neighbors are more than a mile away. Everyday I go for my run/walk, I never come in contact with anyone, I still enjoy the fresh air and nature.
Stay safe everyone.
Just like you, I have been cleaning out drawers and closets and some yard work when it’s not raining. I have attacked a lot of my photographs and memorabilia and have been scrapbooking! I’ve emptied out drawers and cabinets in my basement and have put several books together. It will be great for the kids to look through and reminisce about the fun vacations we had. Great thing to leave for your kids!
In Greece even if we are next to Italy we took it very seriously so the things are a little bit better......you see in Italy,Spain,England,Israel what happened!!!!!!!In this moments we think about all the people and not only our self!
I have been noticing the curve variations in places where people take it seriously and in places where they don't. It would be interesting to see graphs of "percent of population," or what is called saturation rates with respect to time, and use that to emphasize the value in social distancing.
Olga Theodoropoulou actually, Israel took very immediate action, as it saw what happened in the other countries, and as a result of these measures, it has had only approximately 100 deaths to date. Sadly, the beautiful European countries of Italy, Spain and England have suffered far greater losses. Canada , where I live, like Israel, took somewhat early steps (but lagged Australia, etc, in closing borders) and has had 2;560 deaths to date, primarily vulnerable elders living in continuing care but some younger people as well.
Thank you Angie for your thanks! Infection Preventionist at an overseas hospital in a level 3 country. Working every day to keep our staff and patients safe. It is serious. Stay safe America. We are praying for you.
Thanks Angie. 💕 for being a calming soul. I watched Tootsie on Netflix yesterday. Gotta
Love the 80’s and Dustin Hoffman. A must have laugh.
lisa H I watched Tootsie last weekend! One of my “comfort food” movies!
We appreciate your acknowledgment of our situation yet not wallowing and on behalf of someone on the front lines, THANKS A BUNCH!! Your video struck JUST THE RIGHT TONE.
I hate that we are stuck but I’m spending so much time with my kids and I can’t complain 😀I’m praying for everyone 😔
Thanks for praying for everyone, me too lol am doing same thing
Thank you for chatting with us today. It brings some sense of normalcy to our uncertain world right now! I'm still watching my favorite RUclipsrs! This is my normal! I have been doing virtual yoga (since I can't be there in person), using an exercise app that doesn't require equipment (since I can't go to a gym), watching Netflix with my hubby, and completing my online class weekly, and teaching my online class. Some of it is my normal and some isn't.
Ohio went on a “stay at home” order Sunday afternoon. My son and I have autoimmune diseases, so we’ve been self-isolating since March 13th. My husband is in food production so he is an “essential worker”; have to have food for the truckers to take to the stores. (My brother is a semi driver; food delivery.) It’s very scary having autoimmune diseases with this virus, I’m especially worried about my son. He is 16. He has asthma as well as two autoimmune diseases. Anyway, we are doing what we can and praying and spending time together. God bless everyone.
Here in WA we just went stay-at-home yesterday; I have a compromised immune system due to treatment for a neurological disease, so I have been Sheltering in Place since before it was cool (haha). I wanted to pretend that I am just like everyone else, and that cautious precautions were good enough, and then I stopped and had a talk with myself, and had to admit to myself that I really am more vulnerable than the average person. That was a hard "conversation" to have. I don't have anyone in my life who can run errands, so now I do them all in one day, and am scared the whole time. But you know what? I put on some fire engine red lipstick, and it helps
Jennifer Harris Thank you so much!
Florinda Lucero I will pray for you!
God bless you! I think it's Joshua 1:Be strong and courageous
Do not be discouraged for
The Lord our God will be with you wherever u go! ♾️🕊️💜
Thank you Angie! I live in Washington. I try to stick to a routine, makeup etc. Everyone was out in their yards, we can go walking. I try to workout and have painting projects. I cleaned all my makeup and organized it. Like you I ordered from Ulta and Sephora. My one daughter got laid off, my other daughter works at Costco she’s exhausted but has a job. I love your message with this video, we are all in this together! ❤️😘
I realized that this is such a good time to experiment with makeup looks! We have the time and if we mess it up no one is going to see it!!! I'm using colors I wouldn't normally use! Thank you for keeping it positive and hopeful Angie! We all need to stay away from sensationalized news, stick to WHO and CDC to get our info. Every little thing gonna be alright. Bob Marley
I was just going to say that! I'm using more makeup 😂 b/c I have time to experiment and revisit products in my collection. I'm the type you see in her car trying to apply makeup at red lights driving to work!!! I do my work on-line now. I'm a college professor.
Mental health counselors and residential facilities are staying on here in Minnesota. My daughter is a counselor and single mom! She's amazing and I am disabled at home in Iowa! Thank you to all the volunteers and therapists who continue to support those in need!
Thank you Angie. I love hearing you chat about this and that while doing a grwm. I haven’t worn makeup since lockdown started here in Ontario Canada. Maybe today is the day I do full on face to make myself feel better. 🙂💄
Thank you SO much for acknowledging that we can’t all stay home if we work in essential services. I’m a social worker working with very vulnerable populations - we don’t all have the ability to stay home, even if we’d love to. Thank you to all who are out there on the front lines!! And I DEFINITELY NEED make up videos to distract when I have time off - so keep up your amazing work Angie!! 💗
I have a friend whose 90+ year old father is in an assisted living home. Dad is of course isolated from his loved ones, confined to his room. Friend's work-around was to stand outside Dad's window, call him on the phone and have a nice "in-person" visit with him. This may only work for 1st floor residents but I thought it was pretty clever to bring closeness to her father in a way he can understand.
This video is a year old now. It’s so interesting how long the lock down went on beyond what most of us expected. My office sent us to work from home in early March with plans to return in June. Here we are a year later, still working from home with no plan to return to the office.
I wear makeup every day even though I work from home. I don’t wear as much, but I was glad to find this video for some tips to make it better. I am frequently on zoom calls so I need to look alive, LOL.
Love your channel. I learn something in every video. 💕
I feel exactly the same about putting on makeup and dressing in regular clothes...you never know when you might have to go somewhere for emergency...& who wants to be caught in your pjs😊
Thank you, Angie! Yes, I come here as a means of escape, but I really appreciated your acknowledgement of what’s happening and chatting us through it. And that’s a beautiful stay-at-home look.
This is a great video, thank you for talking so calmly about everything! But I agree that regular content is calming, too. :) A little bit of keeping things normal goes a long way right now.
Hi Angie, I am writing from Italy. We've been home for more than three weeks now here, where the virus has raged since the end of February. I've been following you for about six months and always found you very inspiring, but today, when I found your new video prompted by the covid emergency, I had the need to write to you in order to thank you. We have to be careful (very careful) and caring for the others (by staying home) but we cannot let ourselves be scared or just abandon our routines. Thanks for remembering all those who are fighting in hospitals but also all those who are making our quarantine more bearable Thanks for your encouraging and practical approach! Keep posting!
Thank you for keeping this light. I really appreciate it. There is enough doom and gloom out there.❤️
One of your greatest assests (among many) is your very relaxed personality and calm voice, very soothing to frayed nerves and brings a sense of normalcy. I know I wouldn’t mind seeing a few videos that depart from the usual and show how you’re getting thru social distancing. Maybe some gardening tips, pantry items to stock up on, netflix recommends or book reviews. Thank you so much for all your videos, I reall6 appreciate the 5hought and care you put into them. You value your audience and it really shows. Stay safe and healthy ❤️
Hello, I was feeling really bad and my therapist told me to do something girly. Thank you, this has really helped me. Stay safe everyone x
Always reach out to someone B B when you are feeling bad. Always. 😊 Xx
Great video Angie. I'm working from home and not taking this for granted because as a federal employee I remember the last furlough when we didn't know if we would get paid for being out of work for a month. I remember how cruel people were to us in their comments, saying we should've prepared for emergencies. I think we can all agree that you can't always plan for every emergency, you just do the best you can. Maybe some people will learn compassion from this. I know I'm willing to help where I can, I know how fortunate I am right now to be able to continue working.
I remember the gong show! It was one of our family favorite back in the day
My Daughter is the Charge Nurse on the Co Vid Ward in Washington State, My Son is a Technician for a string of gas stations up & down I-95 in Virginia. Both are "Essential Personnel" . I am getting Cabin Fever, but better that type of fever than the alternative. Hope Everyone stays Healthy & Safe! Thanks to All The "Essential Personnel" Out there keeping our Country Running while the rest of us are Trapped inside!! We ABSOLUTELY APPRECIATE YOU!!!
I adore practicing makeup daily.Makes me feel good.
I appreciate you and your videos, Angie; taking time to apply makeup each day is me-time. I'm working from home and worrying and concerned and locked-down like everyone else. Thank you for what you do!
This video is like chatting with a friend 🙂
You had me in tears, you are so sweet, so many people to thank and bless for doing what they’ve been doing.💖🙏🏻
I'll be going to work everyday...PA in busy emergency department. Learning a whole new way of practicing medicine. Scary business. Stay safe everyone!!
Thank you! I'm still doing a little makeup everyday to feel better. I had to touch up my own roots yesterday. Stay healthy!
Maybe a home hair color ? Everyone is missing their salons, I think you did one some time ago.
Great idea, Lisa!
Yes! We're going to be having to cut and color our hair. I love your idea of a hair video!
Hi Izzy. I always love your videos as they bring a total sense of calm over me but I really appreciate at this difficult time. I also will be making a video about make up to wear at home and I am totally with you. I was born in the late 50s and I never feel dressed without at least some degree of make up. I am also with you in that I get up and work out every day and go through my normal routine as that really helps keep me sane during this challenging odd kind of twilight zone time. I was surprised to learn that RUclips you were ship is down recently however I have certainly Noticed that that is the case on my channel. Blessings to you your beautiful spirit shines through as always. I hope both of your daughters stay safe and you and your husband as well.
I don’t understand the escape everybody is facing this usual time. I think it’s better that you did a video like this so we can feel more connected and get ideas of how to keep going each day. Boy I thought my husband was the only one without an iPhone.
I appreciate that
I agree with you , I get dressed and makeup pretty much everyday because it makes me feel better... occasionally I take a break , but I like feeling good so I stick to my routine
Keep posting throughout this crazy time! Appreciate the content as always.
Hi Angie! Thanks for this video! I learned many years ago to get dressed to shoes as soon as I woke up (after making my bed). I learned it from Marla Cilley (the FlyLady). I work-out and then put some light makeup everyday. Every week, I set aside an hour aside to do my nails, my hairs and just chill. It makes me feel so much better! I homeschool and work from home so I am used to this 'stay-at-home' routine, but these days taking extra care of myself is helping me to take care of my family without losing it.
I cleaned out my garage. It took a global pandemic and essentially house arrest, but I finally did it!
I appreciate the normal routine from my regular youtubers. Thanks so much. I did hair and makeup yesterday just to make myself feel better and it worked. This gives me a chance to play with more whacky combination of eyeshadow and just experiment in general since if it is a flop, nobody will see :)
I love the CeraVe sunscreen! I haven’t thought of following it with a powder foundation. Even being stuck at home I enjoy my self care so I have a little more bounce in my step all day🍄
I have the Cerave am with SPF. I like it!
I'm a bit over 50 and I'm in CT nearby. Just found your video on how to look best on Zoom, FT, etc. Loved it! Now I'm watching your stay at home make up tutorial. Love that too. I'm always struggling to find a perfect natural shadow for my eyes. I still use a bit of a shimmer in the corners. Not as much all over, as I once did... Jean is gorgeous! I also need more overall coverage than I once did... sunspots and hormonal spots... UGH! I have a 14 yo daughter & 11 yo son, both distance learning at home. It's a constant battle. Especially w my son. I am also a student myself, getting a second degree in opticianry. Fashion, meets science & patient needs. I love it. I was working at a local optometry practice, but now furloughed, like so many. I meet once or twice a week with my fellow classmates and professors on Webex and I'm always looking for good lighting, angles, backdrop neatness... It's a struggle some days. Especially since my classmates are traditional college students aged 19-20 somethings! I'm curious how you got into the RUclips gig? My kids are in a constant state of shock I don't know any of the RUclipsr celebs they rattle off all the time (let alone Tic Tok!!). I'm very impressed with your style and poise on camera. You are very easy to watch & listen to. Thanks for the tips!
“Yoga with Adriene” on RUclips is excellent! I’m doing her latest 30 day series
She is awesome!
Suzanne Talbert I dis her a couple of days ago and really like the way she teaches.
Suzanne Talbert OMG I adore Yoga wig Adrienne she was born to do what she is doing!!!
Me too.. started day one today
Yes!!
Thank you for speaking to the pandemic and sharing your thoughts and feelings. It's so helpful to hear you give voice to all of this. Please don't hesitate to mention it again. It just helps to put this all in context.
Also, THANK YOU TO THE OVER THE ROAD TRUCK DRIVERS!!!!
Angie, Seems like everything happens when we don't need it to. Yesterday late afternoon a water pipe broke in my front yard. Since the kids are out off school they were riding their bikes on the quite street. Two of my neighbor girls came to my door to let me know the water was running down the street. Called the City to have water turned off. Called my usual plumber & got voice mail. So I called my HVAC tech who also do plumbing & of course had to pay a hefty after hours fee. Just in case they couldn't get it fixed I keep empty gallon water jugs for emergencies & went to my neighbor for emergency hand washing and teeth brushing water. It was dark by the time they got it repaired, but I do have water. Like you I'm down to one role of toilet paper & will have to go to the store for much needed supplies as I'm running very low, and won't survive on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My daughter & her husband work for the City government so they are both having to continue work. I have been doing some decluttering and cleaning things like ceiling fans, under furniture, windows, things I can managev in short increments as I have degenerative disc disease & neck fusion & lumbar fusion. Then I have been having some good spa days. My own mani pedi's. Body scrubs & deep hair and face masks. Reading a few new books. Watching RUclips. A friend in Germany who lives in a long street of attached homes on either side of the street in Frankfurt, brought her stereo out to the balcony, attached a microphone and started singing funny songs. By the end the apt's were cheering. She said she'd be back next week & every week until it was over. I give her a round of 👏👏👏👏👏👏 also for keeping spirits in her neighborhood up!🎤🎼🎶🎤🎶
Glad you got your water problem sorted out! Things that used to be easy are now so much more complicated! xo ~a.
Thank you Angie for a nice escape! Getting dressed and ready to start my day as a school nurse via distance learning along with the teachers and students at our RI elementary school. Learning a lot about communicating via technology- you’re great at it!!
Omg Gene Gene the dancing machine! What a blast from the past..u made me laugh!😁❤
LOL!!
Definitely feel better to keep it normal!! Make up and getting dressed! Thanks Angie for the visit nice to see you!!!!
If you are doing “Netflix and chill” all day I’m jealous! Lol. And then you DEFINITELY don’t need sunscreen and makeup. 🤣🤣☺️😘
Sunscreen is essential inside as well as outside due to sun rays beaming through windows and also blue rays emitting from your computer(s), so it is a need, make-up is just a picker upper and fun to do and can make one feel better to pretty them up especially during these uncertain times. Take care and I hope you change your mind about sunscreen - your skin will thank you by staying healthy and younger looking!
Hahahahaha, yeah, I was like ‘Angie, do you not know what that refers to??’ 🧐🧐🧐😂😂
@@jessb6555 am thinking no...LOLLL...
I couldn’t believe she said that and no one commented! Hahaha!!! I guess Angie and others do not realize “Netflix and chill” is “young people code” for having sex! They really think it means watching TV and relaxing!
I turned 50 this year and have experienced so many awful changes on my face and body, which has been extremely depressing!! In my desperation I turned to RUclips looking for tutorials for mature women and of course have found a few. Of all of them, you have been the best and most practical for the majority of women out there!! Thank you Angie your videos are so great for the vast majority of women - especially during these trying times. Keep them coming. Would love to see an updated video on working out. Have worked out for last 30 years and felt I was so nice and fit! Now I find even that has changed and the things I used to do, not same results anymore and oh the sagging - terrible sagging.!! Would love a new video on that, especially since we need to find out new ways to workout at home. BTW - I live in Canada (Ottawa, ONTARIO) - we're on quarantine here too - scary times! We need videos like yours to keep us all connected and hopeful!
Angie, Do you remember The Unknown Comic from the Gong Show? Hilarious! the old days
Christina Goetsch 😂thx for the great reminder of the Unknown Comic!!!
I, like everyone else that watch RUclips videos regularly have our favorites. Maybe we have a dozen or so favorites that we frequent regularly. On top of that, we probably visit dozens of others weekly and have seen maybe thousands of channels all together. We all have been to MANY RUclips channels covering various topics.
But I have to tell you that out of all them that I have been to, your channel is the most positive, uplifting, informative, sensible, helpful, classy, intelligent channel that I have come across. You are an amazing woman. Thank you Angie, for giving of your time, expense, and energy to so many of us. You give so many of us a place to go where we know we will walk away smarter and happier than when we came. ☀
Thank you so much! That means so much to me!! xo ~a.
It's interesting when I hear youtubers talking about doing "normal videos" vs adding CoVid19 into the conversation. Not sure why it has to be an either/or. I love the videos that are talking about whats going on and I think it's a bit surreal when people don't mention it at all. Makes me feel that I'm looking at prefilmed stuff, which is fine. Isn't it okay to mention what's happening to everyone, everywhere? Not to dwell on it, but it's everyone's reality right now and how often do we all have one thing in common. Just a thought.
I’ve noticed that too...Putting myself together gives me healthy boost. Thanks Angie!
We love your videos! I wish you could increase the uploads during this time we are all home and waiting for them. I know it’s a ton of work tho so I completely understand if you cant😊
Lori Ford I agree. I would love to see more content, if possible.
Thanks for your video. I agree normal routine is good for the mind and a little mental relief.. . as much as we can.
When I’ve opening boxes from things I’ve ordered I do it outside or in garage and then dispose. Or leave the box out outside overnight.
I’m doing my regular makeup everyday. It makes me feel a little more normal. The world is falling apart, but I don’t have to LOOK like it too! Some women look great sans makeup - that’s not me lol. Thanks for the video Angie - you’re great !
Yes, this is an escape and you are so good at writing down the products and tools you use. I appreciate that and you’re giving me the motivation to take care of my skin. 😊👍❤️
