Great job. One addition I love is silk liners under the wool socks. They come up really high and keep the base layer on your legs in the right position.
I think the best part about your advice was that you specifically stated what was good about the product and mentioned that other brands will have this even though all your gear was Simms it doesn't matter you're just using what you have and know. Great advice and I'm always excited when you have new content out
Great tips James! So important to be warm enough to enjoy fishing. One thing I have recently figured out is that alpaca socks are even warmer than traditional wool.
100% agree, do not wear cotton against the skin! Can’t stay warm if you can’t stay dry! Wool and/or synthetics - i.e. polyester fleece. Antiperspirant on all parts that sweat - feet, small of back, pits. Good info!

You always have incredible insights. I have an alpaca farm near me, so I’m using that alpaca wool for my socks.😉👍

Thank you! And absolutely. Simms has treated me very well but it’s certainly not the end all be all.

Thank you! Just posted that video as a short in RUclips. Nitrile gloves have been nothing short of life changing.
Guides experience with gear is the most valuable. What to wear and who you trust to last a season or two. Thanks for the info.
No doubt!
