I actually wholeheartedly agree that they should be the exact function of desert wells. I’ve had this idea for a while.

lol, I just wish they did something more than just sit there... ig it's an infinite water source in the desert? but there are usually rivers for that anyway lol, but yea glad to know I'm not alone :D

I thought at one point that if u dug straight down there would be lava/diamonds but i learned awhile back that they are useless but it still dissapoints my heart to see it as a useless thing

it's a well in the desert... it dosn't need a function.... it's just ambient storytelling

If that's the case that's actually pretty cool, but (speaking purely from what's on the MC wiki) I'm not sure that's true? Would actually be a cool feature to implement tho and it makes sense :D

Well kinda, they added suspicious sand that can spawn in desert well, so. It's useful now!

The well is actually a sign that there is a dessert temple near by. Still not that useful.

I never thought these were useless. Since basically nobody would ever expect me to build a secret entrance to a base 64 blocks bellow the ground. Nobody would even want to check it out if their not new players
