    I think there should be a Hide or Die style gamemode where around 20 survivors load into the game. Randomly, a killer power will be released into the game somewhere on the map. Only 1 survivor can claim this power and become the randomly selected killer. All survivors can try to hide or do other objectives, such as constructing items to use later in chase. When the killer downs a survivor, they can mori them immediately. After a few minutes pass, maybe 3 or 4, the killer power is surrendered and returns randomly after a short delay. (Imagine searching for hatch, but it gives you a killer power when you find it).
    >Killer selected may be 4.6 m/s to avoid ranged and nurse (they may have added benefits as well)
    -This game "Hide or Die" was fairly popular for a few months after its release, but I've seen less and less of it over the years. However, I always liked this gamemode they had. You could also return the power by killing the hunter, but that may be avoided for DbD.

      @@ThatWannabeMusician I think I played an infected mode in Modern Warfare, but that was more of a tdm with ranged vs melee. Hide or Die was more of a "Hide or Die" as the name insists. If you couldn't find an item to help you and you got caught in the open, you were dead. Imagine a battle royale where 1 person has a weapon, more of a slaughter than a battle. Also, in Hide or Die, you could find items like a taser. This could be used to stun the killer and get away, or stun a survivor and leave them immobile and defenseless.

    since they got zombie ai , i always felt like silly zombie mode would be funny for survivors , trying to escape while more of them spawn , and maybe they could implement a specific item for destroying zombies just for that mode

    I would love a Sandbox Mode where killer's and survivors can join this huge open world map and just do random stuff and have fun. Maybe also use it as a testing ground for new items or mechanics that doesn't need a full PTB

      I imagine that maybe more like a pregame lobby, where you can interact with other survivors and killers before "entering the fog"

      I was thinking a similar thing, maybe 8 survivors and 4 killers can get in, there will be no hooks or gens, survivors respawn a short time after being downed, and pallets respawn a bit after being destroyed, you can change your perks without having to leave the game, and just do whatever you want and play until youve had enough.

    I was thinking of 2 teams of survivors and killers
    So 1 killer and 4 survivors vs 1 killer and 4 survivors
    The killer is trying to hook the other killer’s survivors while also protecting his own.
    The game could end when one killer kills the other’s team or when one team had more escapes than deaths.
    It would probably have to be balanced by making survivors be color coded so that the teams can tell, and also having color coded gens and exit gates where only one team can escape from.
    I think that would be an interesting game

    they need to add the ability to just do a custom game as survivor on console. I remember when i was first getting into the game, that would've helped a lot to learn the maps and different techniques to get away in public matches during chase

    I thought about a survival mode. 1 killer and 8-10 survivors. The gimmick is the killer can straight up Mori the survivors as there will be no hooks. Last survivor alive wins.

    A simple one I'd like is a lobby where the perks for survivors and the killer are randomized. It would make for what interesting combos you end up with.

    They need to add Hide and Seek, where you don't do gens, the Killer is the one on the timer, Crows take shorter to appear, Survivors get basekit Diversion and Killers get basekit SFTS, last Survivor standing wins. A Survivor that gets found gets a Mori specific to that game mode.

    I think 2 v 8 should just be permanent. I agree that to many gamemodes will lead to long queue times and a split playerbase. The problem being at least for me is I wanna play survivor because it is the only way to play the game with my friends but I hate playing survivor atm just because of the state of the game. I like playing killer more but don't play it because I can't play with my friends if I wanted 2. Having 2 v 8 be a permanent gamemode wouldn't split the playerbase that much and would be a gamemode you expect to be chaotic which is when dbd is the most fun imo.

    I think the limited time event would be good for all the gamemodes except 1v1. Its just such a good concept and it wouldnt affect cue times to much if it was permanent

    I was thinking of a gamemode, where the survivors would not repair gens, but instead fill up liquid containers with gas.
    -Gas cans would be scattered around the map, highlighted to survivors, so they can bring them to the container.
    -One canister is not nearly enough to completely do the objective. Once the can is depleted you'd have to find a new one.
    -Carrying a gas canister would make you slower and unable to do any other action, like vaulting or dropping a pallet.
    There could be new strategies found where survivors instead of instantly loading the found canister, could bring all of them at once to one of the containers.
    It would make the game feel more fresh and more varied.

    Ideas:
    -2 killer vs 8 survivors
    -Customizable perk slot: players have 0-8 perk slots.
    -Challenge generators: survivors only have to complete 3 generators, but each generator has an unique challenge associated with it (ex: you need 2 people to be on the same gen to repair).
    -Sandbag your friends: there is a killer bot and 2-4 survivors. Once all survivors except for one are dead, the last survivor automatically escapes. It is impossible to escape through other means.
    -Double speed: everything in game is sped up by 2.
    -Survivors gain killer powers: killer's base speed is 150%, but survivors can use the spirit's fase walk, the nurse's blink or the billy's chainsaw to escape.
    -Reversed perk: some killer perks are available to survivors and vice versa. For example, survivors could run tana, but instead of slowing them down it increases their personal speed.
    -Muted: no one has access to sound.
    -Easy generators: survivors have to repair 6 generators, but each gen that spawns on the map gives a permanent bonus when completed (ex: +10% speed on gen repair).
    -Reversed controls: the killer can control survivor's characters but the survivors can control the killer's character too, at intervals and lengths that are to be tested.
    -Fighting killers: 2 killers get in an arena and can play as Deathslinger or Huntress, the first one to hit the other enough times kills and wins.
    -Treason 1: there are 2 killers and 3 survivor, but one of the killers wants to help survivors escape.
    -Treason 2: there are 6 survivors and 1 killer, but one survivor's goal is to throw the match. However, survivors can accuse someone and vote to execute him or not: the accused cannot vote.
    -Treason 3: 6 survivors one traitor, 2 killers but one of them wants to help the non traitor survivors.
    -Portal combat: on any given map, there are portals that spawn at a random place. They randomly change location. Survivors have a speed buff to generators to balance it out.
    -Tied status: there are 2 groups of 2 survivors. When a survivor in group A gets damaged, so does his teammate: if he heals, his teammate gets healed. +map RNG to balance it.
    -Changed load out: once 3 generators are completed, there is a 30 second pause in which everyone can change their perks, items, add ons and maybe killer.
    -Entity's offer: killers and survivors can open chests, and they contain random offers like "+10% movement speed but no more basic attack" or "no more healing but +20% gen speed".
    -Legal hacks: both killers and survivors are allowed to use hack clients provided by Behavior, but some things are banned (auto escape for example).
    -Swap the controls: plays against a bot: every 2 minutes, everyone swaps characters: you control the survivor of someone else and that person now controls your survivor.

    Some sort of 'Infected' game mode would be fun. You start with a bunch of survivors, like 12 or 18 survivors or some shit, yet 0 killers. Every player can move around and try to find hiding spots and group up, but after the first 30 seconds, a random survivor will turn into Trapper right where they stand. Trapper will have no traps BUT will 1 hit down survivors and can Mori them. Once a survivor dies, they respawn as another Trapper.
    There will be about a 2-3 minute timer for the match, but every time a survivor dies and joins the killer team, 20-30 seconds get added to the clock.
    The match continues until either the clock runs out or every survivor has died.

    I'd personally really enjoy a capture the flag game mode, where two teams of 1 killer and 4 survivors have to do gens and what ever team completes the most generators in a set time wins although with this gamemode the biggest problem is that it would need new maps to accommodate the mode

    Love the prop hunt idea, your right, its basically already there anyway. The bloodpoint game mode, i don't think that would work tbh. Many many problems

    I just want any new game modes period. They don’t need to be balanced or curated, they just need to be fun. 1v4 can be ranked and any other game modes can be for fun, fighting games have had this online model for a while and it would work well for dbd.

    some things i'd like would be a sort of hide and seek game mode when the objective to stay out of killer's Line of sight and survive the longest, a gamemode that changes the objective of what the survivors need to do, like fixing a machine by getting parts across a map and escaping through a car or something, and a killer playtest area without needing customs, lets your try out everything in the game (obviously with a limit of how much you can try if you don't have said content) to let people test perks/killers to see if they want to buy them

    I think a mode still like the base DBD but with a different method of escaping would be cool, like find 10 objects and bring them to one place, or find parts and repair one of the 2 exit switches

    there are a few popular gamemodes which are more or less universal like capture the flag, king of the hill or escort/payload. those can sure be twisted for dbd mechanics!

    id like a hide and seek mode where it could work as 3 strikes and you're out, kinda like the hook mechanic, map is dark for survivors like dredges nightfall and have no information where the killer is, but killer also doesn't hear them or see scratchmarks or blood, itd work as soon as the game says the killer spotted someone they've been found, like the chase mechanic

    A game mode I'd like is Randos revenge. So my idea for this is to have three random game modes, random perks, random draft (all 4 survs have to make builds out of 20/30 random perks and killer has to choose from 10 random perks to make their build) and random builds (Survs and killers get given random builds from different eras of dbd), then just have the game randomly pick between one of these three modes. It'd be a great game mode as it'd have a ton of replayability from their being multiple takes on the random game mode idea in it while also being extremely easy for the devs to make

    A Hardcore Gamemode that slightly tweaks the base game's mechanics. These are just random examples I came up with, they're likely filled with flaws, and also ignore perks.
    -There is no aura reading on either side; instances that normally reveal auras (e.g. fellow survivor downed) will instead reveal the event's location for 5 seconds (similarly to failed skillchecks and generators popping).
    -Windows will no longer be blocked by the Entity after subsequent vaults.
    -The Killer loses their connection with the entity for the duration of the Trial, meaning they no longer have a set terror radius and red stain;
    the terror radius will instead be tied to vision, and vary in intensity depending on what the survivor sees (if a survivor sees that the killer is close but then loses sight of them, the terror radius will gradually decay back into silence).
    -The Killer gains Bloodlust 10% faster while chasing the Obsession.
    -Bloodlust now also grants faster Vault Speed (up to 45%) and Pallet Break Speed (up to 45%).
    -All of the killer's noises (footsteps, breathing, environmental interactions...) are greatly increased in volume.
    -The killer can always Mori a downed survivor.
    -The attack that downs a survivor has a much longer cooldown (it having its own distinct animation would be nice).
    -If the Killer runs at their full walkspeed into a survivor standing still, any action that survivor was performing is interrupted and they get staggered for 0.5 seconds. Staggered survivors can't body-block.
    -The Obsession has a permanent 10% speed bonus to all actions.
    -Survivors can fully recover from the Dying State and only take 10 seconds to do so. However, a downed survivor will completely bleed out within 30 seconds (meaning they get to pick themselves up at least twice). Reviving a downed survivor takes 5 seconds when their recovery bar is empty.
    -Survivors always have 3 health states: Healthy, Injured, and Deep Wound.
    -Protection hits cost 2 health states.
    -Survivors that are in the Injured or Deep Wound state can press the Secondary Ability button to endure their suffering and stop all grunts of pain for up to 8 seconds, after which they'll release a loud cry of pain as if hit by a Killer's attack. Grunts of pain resume normally afterward. this effect can only be used once every 25 seconds.
    -Survivors no longer leave scratch marks, unless they are in chase. Scratch marks fully disappear after 4 seconds instead of the usual 10.
    -Survivors only leave pools of blood while in Deep Wound. Grunts of pain are 25% louder while in Deep Wound and 0% louder while injured.
    -Survivors repairing generators are Exposed (insta-downable) until they let go. Poking a damaged generator mid-chase inflicts Exposed for an additional 10 seconds.
    -If a survivor is hit while working on a generator, the Killer's attack cooldown penalty on a down is ignored for that one instance.
    -Sabotaging a Hook within 16 meters of the Killer triggers Killer Instinct for 5 seconds.
    -A Survivor teabagging while in the Killer's line of sight becomes the Obsession, gains Exposed and blocks the Exits/the Hatch to themselves for 10 seconds, triggers Killer Instinct for 5 seconds, grants the Killer 7% Haste, 60% stun recovery speed/vault speed/pallet break speed and increases the Killer's field of view by 15° for 14 seconds. Grants 250% extra Blood Points in the Boldness category.

    Horde mode.
    X Survivors spawn infected in an indoor map like Midwich or RPD. Next come X zombies, that all move at the same speed as Nemmy's Iri addon.
    When no survivors are infected, the hatch opens in a random place on the map.
    Vaccine boxes respawn after they're all used. Whenever a survivor vaccinates, more zombies spawn and a random 'Stage Hazard' effect happens.
    These are the passive powers of other Killers, such as:
    All Survivors gain Stage 3 madness
    5 Bear traps spawn in default positions, open
    Infected Survivors gain an active Reverse Bear Trap
    All Survivors are hit with a clown bottle
    Infected Survivors get Plague vomited
    All Survivors get Ghostface Marked (assume zombies can Exposed down)
    The Survivor who just vaccinated gets Victor
    The box spawns, and chain hunt starts counting down
    All Survivors are hit by crows and have to repel them
    Dredge's Nightfall starts counting down
    Infected survivors get ouroborus
    Infected survivors get hunted by a random Knight guard
    Skull Merchant drones spawn on each unused vaccine box
    All while more zombies are spawning. I'm not sure how you'd balance all the assets (having to spawn jigsaw boxes and plague fountains?) but I think the meta would be fun. Headon, Any Means, Flashlights etc

    For 2 V 8 there are a few ways they could temporarily limit how unbalanced it could be.
    By essentially limiting the type of killers in play.
    So for Example, if one player chose to bring a killer with an insta down ability or an earnable instant kill.
    Any other killers with that type of ability or addons to that reward it are disabled, to prevent insta down spam.
    Perks would be limited by who equips what type of perk.
    And if a killer has a specific gimmick like Cenobite or dredge who have a bar that passively fills only one of those can be played.
    As to prevent UI clashes.
    For example, you could have Trapper and Trickster, or Dredge and Bubba, as these two have powers that don’t clash with the base UI.
    I know some UI’s would be able to overlap perfectly like Nemesis and Sadako’s but because their powers essentially fill the same roll of something else to do, you wouldn’t be able to play both at the same time.
    But this is my thoughts on the matter, it may sound stupid, but restrictions would have to be heavily put in place without making it unfun for one side.

    I think 2v8 is a wonderful game mode that could be added. Identity V has actually added this mode and it works given a few tweaks was made to the mode. I’m not saying DBD should copy it exactly because the games are similar not the same, but the way Identity V make it work is more hits on survivors, shop stations that add perk benefits like cooldown and increased sacrifice rate. I don’t know what the survivors had but overall I think the shop is a smart idea.

    Game mode, where killer and survivor switch sides on timer, like 25% to become a killer, and by the end of set amount of time, winner is decided by their respective bp count, earned during a match, like pro DBD, but on timer.

    There is one main flaw to the gameplay of the survivor vs survivor, the first person to get chased will probably end up just DC'ing, knowing theres probably no chance at winning.

    I have a few ideas
    1: first person survivor
    2:Survive the night (No genarators no nooks no exit gates there is no escape unless you survive the night 16 survivors spawn spread across the map the killer spawns away from all 16 survivors the killer must hunt down all the survivors while the survivors must survive until the night is over witch will be represented by a timer survivors have pallets loops flashlights medkits flashbangs chemical traps and a few game mode exclusive items to fight back and stun the killer if the killer downs them they die on the spot Killer wins if all survivors are killed survivors win if there still alive when the timer reaches 0
    3: cops and killers
    14 players spawn in one is randomly pucked to be the Killer and starts in the basement 13 players are spawned around the map and one resseves a flashlight skgnifying there role as sheriff the killer can blend in with survivors and must kill the survivors the sheriff must figure out who the killer is if the killer kills all survivors and sherif killer wins if the sherif finds out who the killer is and manages to blind them in the act they win

    A 1v4 game called “Identity V” did 2v8 pretty well, they removed killers that would have just broken the game and players could only play it when the servers opened for a couple hours every couple of hours, this made it so most of the time queue times for 1v4 were still relatively short but if you had no friends (like me :D) you could still enjoy it, maybe DbD could do something similar, rotating the game mode each week but you can only play the mode for 2 hours every 5 hours or something like that

    The mobile game Identity V has a great approach to a 2v8 mode, in that it's available for 2 hours total, one hour at different points in the day. DBD could easily do something similar, where it's open for maybe an hour or a few hours every day, that way the playerbase can remain unsplit but the large game mode is still available for people who don't have as many friends to fill up a full lobby.

    ZOMBIE MODE!
    Others have said it before, so I'm just reiterating. Since the game has included zombies (and their AI) with the Nemesis, it seems possible to make a zombie mode. It could be time-based, like waiting for helicopter or APC rescue, or there could be some other objectives (preferably no more generators) and survivors run around using flashlights to stun/kill zombies. If a player is infected/killed, then they can respawn as a zombie and try to bite their friends. It's a simple and fun game mode that's been around for 20 years, it's good for co-op and friendly competition.

    Maybe a disguise mode? One survivor is the target, but they’re all Dwights with default cosmetics and you have to figure out who is correct 😂

    One idea I had is too have the red mori be basekit in a 2 v 8 gamemode. Why? Because of something called a “dual mori.” Basically if one killer is able to mori a survivor and the other killer is close enough, both can initiate a unique mori together.
    Obviously not every killer would have a dual mori, but I assume killers that have similar themes, powers or are even related would have a dual mori. Some examples would be Singularity and Skull Merchant, Hillbilly and Leatherface, Spirit and Oni, Wesker and Nemesis, etc.

    2v8 seems like a fun idea until you face a plague and twins together. or a plague and spirit. or a hag and a trapper being able to lock down and camp the whole map. there is just too many broken and unfun killer combinations to make it viable imo

      people who want 2v8 think that people would use something like nemesis and idk skull merchant. Nope it will still be blight but with a nurse or spirit to help him down more people. Meaning you would have to sweat your ass off to escape most matches. Especially with 7 randoms the gamemode would be amazing for killer mains lmfao

    1 v 1 could be a game mode that you get put into while waiting in q for a normal game, so it’s less boring to find a normal match

    5vs5 deserves to be added. two teams of one killer and four survivors compete to a) who kills most/all of the survivors faster b) which team escapes faster and with more survivors than the other team.
    Example 2 survivors escaped from team A in 15 minutes but in team B only 1 managed to escape by hatch withing 9 minutes meaning team A would score more points.
    Winning condition is for both survivors and the killer to have more points than the other team, if let's say team A has gained more points from killer but less from survivors than enemy team and team B the opposite, the match would end up in a tie since both of the teams didn't manage to score more points overall than the other team

      i think this is the best way to go about multiple killers in a gamemode since 2v8 just seems like too many op killer combinations

    Great ideas, just dont know about the other side... that 1v1v1v1 could be fun but i dont think many ppl would like to play killer

    I'm thinking like a mode like fall guys in the entity realm and killers can use traps to slow survivors down while the other survivors reach to the exit gate or next round

    This game really does need some more game modes! it gets so boring having to play the same game mode over and over again from having to play survivor or killer.
    Which new game modes could make the game so fresh! which it would be so good of them to make new game modes instead of making new killers for this game
    That dead by daylight community will hate since I have hear how the dead by daylight killers now are nothing but broken for this game that I wish they would have make
    New game modes for this game.

    Identity V actually has it so the game modes are always available just at specific times In the day so that couldd also be a solution but both have pros and cons to them.

    2v8 could be balanced if they ban certain killers and perks but they would have to test it for a while and make tweaks.

      to be honest i wouldn't really care if it was balanced either way, don't think it should be designed for that and rather just be pure chaos

    Killer vs Killer.
    4 killers are in a game and all killers have health. You can regenerate but you have to look for a serum to do so. (Or no healing i dunno)
    There will be no teaming or you'll be kicked or something
    Abilities such as Bear Traps,Redeemer,Sickness,T-Virus and ect will effect the other killers.
    The only goal is to be the last killer standing.
    There will be problems but im sure there is a way to fix it.

    there are plenty of games that dont have many players on them, that are old af, and have tons of game modes. i dont see any reason to not have it be permanent or voting for the game mode or something.

    Great video! This isn't a complaint, just an honest suggestion to try and support you. It seems like you have some sort of filter on your mic? Or an audio effect through editing and it doesn't sound super great to listen to. Audio quality is REALLY important for viewer retention. Overall love your channel!
