I am Japanese and like this song the most in this album. In my opinion, Japanese love this kind of song, which is really catchy and melodious. And I am so happy to know that you also love this song, which means this song is really brilliant universally.
This song blew me away when I first heard it properly. I kept catching snippets of it because oddly enough Vodafone are using it for their 'on hold' music, but I didn't realise it was Coldplay straight away because the sound quality wasn't great over the phone. Now I've downloaded it, it's probably up there among my favourite tracks of theirs from all the albums. And it's so different from anything else they've done - it's got quite an Indian Sitar ring to it as well, which adds to the appeal. And of course, those beautiful lyrics and the message behind them. It's a masterpiece.
Hahaha awesome dude :)! Thanks for the shout out! Loved the reaction. It grew on me slowly as well, in the beginning i also wouldn't have said it was on par. Keep up the great production in the videos man.
@@josephjamesmusic_ Now that you've done a bonus (b-side) track. Let me drop the info that pretty much every Coldplay album release has been like this. It always had either b-sides on the single/EP releases or on the Japan Edition. And most of the time they are REALLY GOOD. I pretty much have a playlist of just b-sides and rarities. Couple of sources for you to check out: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Coldplay en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unreleased_songs_recorded_by_Coldplay Thanks again :D!
I am wondering if this was meant to be the first song on Sunrise because in the Q&A video they did in Jordan, Chris did mention that they changed the first/intro song from unnamed song (which could be Flags) to Sunset after listening to Sunset and basically made it a bonus track but I don't know why they did it just for Japan though because I would of thought maybe they would of done it for everyone.
@@josephjamesmusic_ Same here but I have put it on the album on my phone like it is which is a bonus track although I may put it between When I need a Friend and Guns because on the CD when I ripped it, there is an intermission between the sections broke into half of dozen tracks.
@@josephjamesmusic_ It just like Big ben bells and bird noises about 30-40 secs long but it's like split into like 6-7 tracks for some reason, 2-3 two- four secs tracks, followed by two that are longer which are the bells and then another 2 that are 2-4 secs long, nothing really worth listening to really, I think they just used it to split the albums but I can't get why they split into that many, what's wrong with just one track in it's entirity?!
@@josephjamesmusic_ This is the song: "GOD=LOVE" is only available on the physical CD edition of the album. It consists of a 30 second field recording of clock tower bells spread across 8 tracks. The track titles of this section are revealed when the CD is loaded into a computer.
i just put this song in loop for about 26hrs now, literally one of the best songs in the album.
Why did Coldplay not perform any Songs from Everyday Life on their tour, let alone this one.
Flags is outstanding

it’s very interesting isn’t it - i wish it was on the main album rather than just a bonus track

there’s an extra track on the physical version?! like in between sunrise and sunset?!
