This is the second one for the basement bat. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOuLt8IL_GxhhaK8DBuKEL-zV0UJVpWZn , works great
Thanks for that James! I’m just about to do one myself now and this vid was just the ticket! Great tips! Thanks. 👍
As always, spot on, i whish you showed how you did the waste junction in the floor. But remember HOLD TIGHT.
My piece of string was about 30 hours, but honestly this guy has gotten me through the darkest moments of my life 😂❤
Nice Work contouring the Copper Supply !
James, you have the same make n model of oscillating cutter as me. Regardless of which make/model, I find these tools to be exceptionally useful. Only bought one last year. They are amazingly versatile if you use the correct "bits". Raking grout lines, chasing out worktop for awkwardly positioned kitchen sink clamps, running round architrave and door cases for neatly running under laminate.......... just to name a few. Folks, get one bought.
very nice video with detailed explanation of whole process. subscribed
James you're such a legend. You've taught me a lot and make lol hard. Hold tight x
6:29 Once theres a leak...... someone gonna have an electrifying pooping moment
Another good video and professional job. Couldn't take my eyes off that floor tiling though.....what a bodge!
good work....great craftsmanship
Another brill video. Well done.
You the man . Very helpful
Nice clean job but I would prefer to use a longer pvc soil pipe and 90 bend which would eliminate the need for the messy flexi fitting
That's what I'm thinking, shit's just gonna collect on that and eventually clog
My thoughts exactly 💯
Mcalpine new album I nearly choked laughing!! very good guys great video cheers
Bless you heart ! great video !
I have zero clue about plumbing and would never attempt any of this stuff my self, yet I find my self watching every video and I don't know why...
Because of George (the cat)
Nice one jimbo 👍🏻. I think I am going to do something similar in our cloakroom 🚽.
Hi ya James
What flush is in the cistern using the flexi tube as a flush
Thanks
Great work james, was wondering if you've ever installed the geberit duofix frame for a wall hung toilet?
How would you go about installing a handheld bidet on a toilet setup like this??
Hey man great video , question I live in a ground floor flat and I need to install a bathtab the soilstack is right there but is metal maybe iron , if i drill it what are the chance something nasty comes out if the people above me flash their toilets !!!
Thanks for the video. I’m replacing a CC toilet with a concealed cistern so this has helped. I’m building out the wall to house the cistern before plasterboarding and tiling.
Is it best to leave a section of the wall open to help installing the flush / waste pipe as once closed in it will be near on impossible to push the fittings on from the top?
Any recommendations of good quality brands? Do not want a cheap one which will leak in 12 months.
Thanks
James, I've recently bought a house that happened to have appalling plumbing - everything was leaking and basically bodged right up. Thanks to your easy to follow and spot-on videos I've managed to replace and properly seal all the problem areas without any prior experience. Your videos have saved me probably hundreds of quid. You're a bloody hero! It's also amazing what a difference Plumbers Mait and PTFE tape can make! Cheers buddy
No worries Twonk! (?) Glad to help mate/dear!
A motorised camera slider? Extra fancy!
Brill loved it 👌🏻
Still loving your videos James!
And I miss our chats! :(
I want to fit a BTW toilet and a wall hung vanity but I have brick walls so I will need to build a false wall. Can you give me any pointers or advise for what I should watch out for please
I need to replace my toilet as there’s a crack in it. All the back of the toilet is accessible like in the video and is within a sink/unit. Any tips to work around this?
I hope you enjoy guys! BOOM! Toilet still working a treat!
Great video, thanks. I'm about to give it a try myself, but I have a question - does it matter how far into the toilet the flush pipe goes?
Good video as I want to install a back to the wall toilet onto a brick wall and build a false dwarf wall on the other side, but I was hoping to see how you set up of the flush switch for the cistern as I am going through a 4" brick wall and would maybe have to extend the cable that controls the button flush?
how do you put cleaning toilet tabs in the cistern that's covered up like that
getting slick with the camera work james. i like the cutter you used, any info on it?
What type of wood do you use in a bathroom
Nice job James. McApline parts are the best. I normally offer the pan in place draw round it and mark where the brackets holes are. Either way works.
Each to their own dear boy!
plumberparts that's very true.
Great video
Cheers mate!
Hi is there a rule of thumb position for the 15mm water supply during first fix? I don’t have the toilet yet.
I’m in the process of getting back2 wall toilet fitted. The plumber says he is not going to fit brackets to floor not necessary. Is this correct?
Hi james a question for you
Can I use a 10mm bore flexible pipe to connect the toilet cestern to the water mains
Cheers
Great, i now know how to set my home brew kit up Boo lackasharrrr!!!!!
Loving the tracking shots. That music sounds familiar!
Cheers! Just RUclips stock stuff!
hi can you go rear exit with a wall hung frame?
Can i use flusometro for hi pressure toilet? Ideal s...connect space E118801 ?
Hi James, been watching the presentations for a couple of yrs, I have a push button air type toilet flush which has stopped working. Bought new plunger & still won't flush. Can you enlighten me why when you push it doesn't flush? Cheers Peter
Can you do this on an external wall without a unit?
That right angle pipe from the cistern into the pot the flush is awkward to measure if you're laying flooring under after fitting.
Any tips.
I can't get access like you behind the wall is the neighbours.
Did you add a flush plate with this
What skills fantastic job
Cheers!
This is great if I could walk in my walls.
Very neat silicone
"Plumbing isn't an easy job is it"?
It's a piece if cake mate, that's why we are on here learning from you 😂😂😂😂
A piece of string is 2x0.5 of the total length
Totally agree with the comment @ 03:04
Hey James, love these videos. I rarely have plumbing jobs to do, I just like plumbing and these vids 😂! I do have a question though...the soil stack in my new flat is steel, I believe. It looks galvanised. How do I approach attaching a boss for repositioned waste pipes and the toilet 4 inch?
And now repeat in a 500mm wide toilet cistern unit so when you manage to somehow get it all in there you are left with 15-20mm from the end of the threaded water feed for the cistern and the side of the unit!? Who designs these things ?
How do you get around that ? I presume you cut back the threaded plastic water feed into the cistern but Ive not had much luck with that in the past getting it to seal.
As I had a handy 600 wide sink unit to match next to it I just went straight though the side of the unit.
Hi James, I am looking for a video on how to fix a broken dual-flush button in a concealed cistern. I guess the system I have is typical of modern flats. The "small" flush isn't working and I'm trying to fix it. I can't a video on this on youtube. Could you point me in the right direction please? Thanks.
This viceo MIGHT help broooooo! ruclips.net/video/2nDgSSFBt3I/видео.html
Electrical sockets just under those service ball valves.
Those mc alpine fitting you are talking about are called lobsters in Australia.
just fitted my small toilet with sink ontop under my stairs with a macerator pump. however I don't have screw holes for the top of the cistern. do I just silicone the shit outta the back? hold tight Bradley cooper
Do you ship t-shirts to USA?
I’d love to see a video of how to fix a leak when the chippy hasn’t left you any access point. Looks like I have to remove the loo. It did help to understand how the toilet is fixed, so at least I have a chance of a damage free removal ..after that is anybodies guess and this anybody guesses at the refit involving flexi. 👩🏻🔧
Let’s do this thing!
Excellent ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆♡
Great video, helped me replace/ fit me flexi pipe that was leaking. Because the stupid guy who installed the bathroom fitted a fan extractor flexi pipe originally on the toilet pan to soil stack. why do they do that grrrrrrhhhh!
Step one : Throw the unit away and put a normal bog in. Haha :P
What motorised camera slider are you using for the video?
Loving the work, keep it up!
Edelkrone
Seriously jealous. I've seen that online and it looks awesome. Need to save a few pennies first though.
Hi. quick question. How could a fix / tighten the toilet lid in this type of toilets once it is glued to the wall and there is no access to the screws? Do I need to remove everything to be able to tighten the lid? Thanks
Different fixings for a concealed pan wc seat
Your videos are great but nowhere do I see a cistern like mine. I need to repair/replace the parts (hopefully not the whole toilet!) but can’t find any videos that show anything remotely similar to mine. Any ideas anyone? Happy Christmas and very Merry New Year btw.
How do i stop the water splashing back & going up my bottom?
Stand up higher....although that does increase splash!
The Greatest Debator in the World throw loads of big roll in first.
Great video! Just subscribed. As a matter of interest does that type of "pressure" flush enable dual flush? Cheers keep up the good work.

UK man loves goddesses I
Love the video. As a plumber myself, I totally agree with your attitude: brown soil pipe is not UV stable but (and using our brains now) it doesn't matter a jot as it's in the cupboard.
Not fitted a back to wall yet as it's a bit flash for most of my customers, so good to see it's pretty much as I imagined (also fiddly as hell).
Had to laugh when you said plumbing isn't an easy job. Recently a customer wanted one of these replaced (with access from the toilet side only and the whole installation looking a bit dubious) and I think he was a bit put off by my estimate. I'm looking forward to his either finding someone cheaper and having problems, or not finding someone cheaper and calling me back... because... the day I said could have fit it for him, well, I'm not free that day now...
I would have used a soil pipe bend instead of the Flexi and a straight multi quick also clipped the soil pipe to the wall
@@andybb yea you cant beat hard piped jax
I think the Poo is getting stuck inside the flexi waste pipe ridges, like a concertina. It was already installed by previous owner.
I am currently sat on the toilet watching this video, haha.
TOP MAN! I hop you wipe your botty!
Are you still there?
We have a concealed toilet and we're having problems with condensation on the bowl inside the unit, is it normal.??
You could fit insulation behind the pan. Condensation forms on the surface of the cistern or pan because the
water is colder than the surrounding air temperature.
Personally, I would want the walls fully tiled before fitting any toilets/basins in place.
My thought as well, but perhaps that wall is not going to be tiled?
Odd that the wall isn't tiled first, but nice job all the same.
Couldn't you just put your end in from the other side of the wall to position those brackets? Also - can you snake that flexible line?
enjoy the video
Cheers!
with so much space behind i would have used rigid 4" pie connectors as flexible connectors are no go for me.My sons flat has a flexi connection and leaves a nasty stain at the bottom and the smell is awful.i had to use powerful epsom salt to clean it all.and it now has to be cleaned every six to 8 months.
I would do rigid connection as well, and there is no need for that big cutout.
Yup. Looks almost like a plumbing disaster. Hope it works out well.
100% rigid pipe work, top top man is James but I think he’s appealing to DIY enthusiasts, flexi pan connectors have their uses but normally as a last resort, hold tight indeed. :-)
Inches? We adopted the metrix system in 1965, isn’t it about time we finally stop using inches?
I was looking for the flush button to be fitted 🙄🤷♂️
love the little note about the tape measure, I'm just about to buy a new one but I'm sure I've seen the old one somewhere recently ...
how do I send you photos
Do it on our Facebook or twitter mate!

People say those floor plastic brackets tend to break. Is it worth using them. How about just a bit of wood?
Aman A wood rots and splits. Instead sink some 4 inch screws into the floor 2 inches proud, heap some large blobs of rapid setting cement on, sit the pan over, screw in after. It'll never move.
Nick Baldeagle Oh... that seems like a bit of an overkill!... after all floor boards are made of wood, and are only 1 inch thick, and rarely rot... I think if you drilled pilot holes in the wood, it shouldn't split... but I'm sure your method would work too... have you ever tried that cement method, or is it just an idea?
I do it often. Council toilets need to be solid. Those tenants are not gentle.
The plastic ones are very strong and last for ever. The silicone is even better as James mentioned. Not to mention the builder pulling his hair out if you decide to drill through the water proofing membrane. Those plastic ones can be glued to the tiles. [no drilling, no holes on the membrane and you can remove the toilet if ever needed.] Thats how I have been doing it and its the best way. Luek Benbow Plumbing is the best
Dizzy now :-)
Are you a plumber for this
Are toilets 🚽 waste go into the floor here in the USA
Brian Djordjevic depends on where in the USA you are and what people picked. Wall hung is pretty common in major cities like NY.
Why didn't you just use all 4 inch? I would have.
Me too
They screeded the floor with the underfloor heating pipes going in at different angles. That hurts my feelings
I did beat them up~!
I want a hold tight t shirt 👌

At 8:25, when measuring where to drill the holes for the brackets, you can also put the toilet in place and just mark where to drill the holes with the brackets in place, from behind the toilet. It is less risky when walls/floors are not flat.
Centremeters??? Your not a dress maker 😂😂.
waste pipe.....woooyst poyyyp....(English accent)
What's the point in doing the video if your not going to show how to fully do it.
