    The new path and scenery system is revolutionary. Sticking scenery to rides,having paths in the blueprint,basically drawing outlines for big plazas. All amazing. This might be our dream game.

    I never doubted frontier, I knew they would be the ones who would bring all our wishes of a good theme park builder to life. Since the very beginning competing with Roller Coaster Tycoon World and we only had trailers, I knew they would be the ones who would make it better. Now, after a few years, they have shown how the things are done in the videogame industry. Thank you Frontier.

    Something I noticed at 4:50 A scenery brush. Which in my opinion might mean quickly placing nature elements like in Jurassic World evolution

      Oh please let this be true! This is one of my biggest complaints in Planco 1 is having to place every single tree and bush and manually rotating them to make it look natural. I also hope there's proper ground cover objects now too, like grasses, flowers, etc. I'm pretty sure Planet Zoo has that - I don't own that game.

    Rudi's excitement for paths. I love it - like a little kid on Christmas. It just reinforces that the most vocal part of the Planco community is the creatives whom that kind of thing is important to. I like the creativity, but I prefer enjoying maximizing park operations (management.) I hope that this game will appeal to a wide audience. I just can't see myself explaining to my gamer friends why they should really get Planco 2 is because they can draw more precise paths. Just imagine most people's response to that. So far, all the new features are just for creative painting of a park - paths, decorating rides, etc. I'm really hoping there's some more meat to making your park work instead of just new categories that need to be plopped like lifeguards, power, and water filtration. We don't need more things to plop, we want management that has depth, trade-offs, and interesting consequences. For example, what's the point to the power mechanic? I mean, won't you just plop the appropriate number of power generators and be done? What does that add to the fun? I'm so excited for the game and not trying to be negative. I'm just passionate about what I'd love the game to be.

      you are right - but I wand to reinforce, that the biggest complaint also of managament players was - that the path was so broken, they didnt enjoy the rest because of that.
      However i am also VERY curious for management stuff because the Time changed! its not full day based

    I expected the free form pathing tools, but the coloring options surprised me, too. Hope they also get rid of the ground texture limitations from PC1, so we can have all possible themes without faking ground with objekts.

    I don't know if it is so special, but at 4:52 you can see 3 icons above the "Line Builder" option. The right one seems to be a staff only path, which would make it quite convenient at some points.

    I think priority means what path goes on top. In the video, there was pathing on top of pathing ON TOP of pathing, so that must mean if it will go on top or not.

    Woow, I did not expect the pathing in blueprints feature. I really loved creating blueprints in the original planet coaster but not being able to add paths limits you so much. This in combination with the possibility to add scenery to rides gives us so many more options!

    i had guessed on silvarret's reaction video that the pathing might work something like the barriers in Planzoo and im honestly pleasantly surprised to find that i essentially nailed it. heres to planco 2!

    I noticed rides no longer need dedicated queue paths, and the queues are now confirmed to not have bollards.

    The main frustration of Planco 1 paths was the inability to have smooth slopes - you only had specific increments to make the slopes and then one set of stairs. I really hope this has changed.

    I spot something after your Stream. Every Toilet Sign we saw had only one gender on it, so maybe they delted the double gender signs completly.

    At 0:20 everyone is so focussed on paths, they missed the improved water vfx in the background. Looks like the rough water option from Zoo which is for sure an improvement on PC1

    I also noticed they've got like 6,000 guests in this park and it doesn't look too laggy. Obviously it's a pretty empty park but 6k guests ain't bad.

      I'm so hyped for that. Literally what i dreamed of. I didn't think they would do something as powerful as making paths essentially vectors. But here we are. I also never thought we'd be able to attach scenery to rides and coasters. I hoped for customizable paint jobs / liveries at best like what a lot of racing games have.

    The only thing that is my problem with all of this is how are they going to teach the player about how shade works or power. I played a little bit of planet zoo but stopped because I was overwhelmed with all the systems the game has.

      Yeah. I think that Planet Zoo’s (and Planet coaster to an extent) issue is that, at least personally to me, I felt like a lot of the game had an extreme learning curve where if you aren’t sure what to do for an issue or where to find the solution, it can be very difficult to work through the problem. For example, the park employees working their stations will randomly leave it unattended. And if you don’t know that you need to assign them and other workers to that specific shop or area, it becomes very frustrating to have random employees wandering around doing nothing. And it gets worse if you have tens of employees milling around and you have to actively search for them to reassign them. I’d like a streamlined page you can pull up of every employee, where they work (and maybe even nameable sections of the park to make it easier to sort through shops with the same name), and edit their job from that page.

    I truly am shocked. MAJOR, mind blowing improvements. Kind of funny how the Frontier team just casually dropped bomb after bomb. When I saw that flat ride (and a pool!) plopped in the middle of a path/plaza, I actually squealed. However, due to the Cities Skylines 2 debacle, I am trying to curb my enthusiasm until we see actual game play and system requirements.

    There's another thing you might have missed too. There seems to be 3 different kind of paths: the general public, the queue lines, and a new one which I presume is restricted to park employee. You can see the 3 icons in the paths panel, just below the tabs, to the right.

    The path drawing tool was something I was pipe dreaming about being in the game for awhile, so glad its confirmed and I cant wait to see all the other crazy features we haven't seen yet
    The fact that they are waiting to show coaster builder makes me excited cause I think it'll way more in depth than before, they've said smoothing is way better now.

    To think we're excited about paths. Like this is planet coaster not planet pathing.... but O. M. G.! Revolutionary is definitely the right statement. I love watching all these creator vids and learning and seeing more that I didn't see the first time! Keen observation ya'll!

    Talking about pathing, seamless transition between grounded and elevated paths would be welcome. Maybe even by making it possible to just take away the ground beneath it if wanted, which will add support automatically.

    This looks like an incredible upgrade. My only concern is how elevated paths will work. They looks really similar to PC1 in how fat and bulky they look. Hoping there’s still options to turn off curbs and maybe even make the elevated portions look flatter.

    I'm keen for a new pathing system. It looks like Frontier have listened to the frustrations of gamers in their other games, and it looks like a significant improvement. Would love to see an update for Planet Zoo with this kind of pathing, but I doubt that'll happen. Makes me more keen for this game.

    I'm really wondering how we choose what elements go in the blueprint. My assumption would be that we can do group selects that include paths... which opens the door for mass path deletion, recoloring, and all kinds of other fun stuff too. The updates they've made are marvelous already! I wonder what other improvements they're keeping quiet about that we get to learn over the next couple months?

    first question with the drawing the plaza demo they did it didnt look like a perfect circle will there be an option as the other main plaza with the pools it looked perfect and second question you have the normal path the thin path but whats the path they used by the pools as they looked really good in width is that a path they used from the new system or did they custom make it thats what im confused about cause the thin path looks so ugly

      The perfect circle probably is made from sizable circle stamps.
      The paths near pools probably are regular paths placed over the plaza painting.
      At first, Aye thought the painted path was fake width a reel path under it,But the guests walk over the paths to the plaza. The paths near the pools are just for design. Many parks have paths threw plaza, but it's hail too make inn planco 1

    It looks like peeps are not walking through objects on paths (like buildings) anymore (in planco 1 we got the special scenery for that). With this new path system I hope they improved that also. Would mak. e sense that path gets deleted whenever a scenery piece is placed on it, but not sure yet.
    Oh and I am curious about dark rides and darkness inside buildings.

    They did not want to compromise and show the camera up close towards the entrance of the park. I have my doubts, but I keep asking and I hope I have a road and vehicle mod for clients to get to the park... something similar to pk update 11

    I really hope we get the shop desks from planet zoo. I really dont like the holes in a wall from planco1. Did i hear that hotels wont be making a return? thats such a shame too!

      About hotels: they wont be in the basegame. They didnt say its never gonna be. So as in planco 1, i assume we get it either in a free Update or as a dlc

      I agree, but I feel like hotels were arguably a little too over complicated in planco 1. It’s weird to have to place individual rooms rather than have a single (possibly upgradable) building where you can change the amount of rooms. That way, if your park has 6k people like this one, you could potentially house every single person from one building rather than hundreds

    Wait, if the path stamp tool 7:50 can be on a grid and we have a hexagon path stamp then maybe we have a hexagon grid? What if this also is possible with buildings?!

    Sad part, Rollercoaster tycoon had this and could do this include paths. Good part. Planet coaster finally woke up and saw there is more to give and to get from a sequel game. Only hope they include the DLC from plc1 to plc2. And re sell it again to us that would just be stupid.

    This may sound like an exaggeration but the pathing is what made me not play Planet Coaster anymore. It was too much of a hassle to the point it made the game too much of a pain to make anything in. Seeing this is extremely exciting! The tools are so much better and will finally allow me to make what I always wanted to make.

    Honestly the pathing is what stops me from playing more of the planet games, i love them so much but its so painfully hard to build even basic plazas or buildings because of the pathing.

    They need to patch planet coaster and planet zoo with this new pathing system. I absolutely hate that I bought both of those games and gave up on them after about an hour because doing something as basic as trying to lay path and get things to connect to it is such a chore.

    It's not a revolution, but rather a minor evolution. The pathing system is mostly still the same, aside from one addition with the drawtool. This change could (and probably should) have been an update. So far, I'd say that it's rather Planet Coaster 1.5 than 2.0. But hey, does it really matter? This community will happily swallow anything the developers of FD throw at them.

      You clearly either haven't played the planet games or you wanna troll 🧌
      Vector based, painting easily over each other, drag length, paint area, individual tile colours.
      It's redone from the ground. I can see there's A LOT that needs to be added, but calling this a minor evolution is ridiculous and criticism for the sake of criticism.

    honestly I was more hoping we'd see some of that first person mode they talked about more than anything else. They claim we will be able to walk around our park in first person mode but I can't help but feel there's a catch. There's always a catch!

      @@frrrfrrr9177I think they do. They completely skipped the coaster builder, and integral part of the game, which I don’t think they’d skip unless they had something to hide. Perhaps it is those features.

    I wouldn't really call it a "revolution" when large parts of the new pathing features are just "things you could already do in Zoo Tycoon 2.

    Same stalls, same stations, same ground tool, same UI, most likely built by the same engine. Instead of fixing PC, they will sell you PC2 for twice as much money and more DLC, and call it a day.

    Shouldn’t have been necessary at all. The way the pathing works in PC1 is a major fail.

    Sieht schon alles echt nett aus, was die Neuerungen betrifft.
    Das gesamte Ingame Menü dagegen wirkt total veraltet.
    Kaum ein Unterschied zu PC1.. wirkt älter als p.zoo und insgesamt fehlt die "shinyness" die sich im Wasser und am Plastik der Rutschen wiederspiegelt.

      muss man mal abwarten, leider war auch der stream von der bitrate wieder nicht gut. Ich würds gerne mal in echt sehen bevor ich das bewerte

      @@RudiRennkamelAls ich das Menü gesehen hatte dachte ich direkt an die Stelle von eurem 3er Talk wo DeLady und Silvareth erstaunt über die Demo waren und meinten es sieht schon auch noch nach PC1 aus.
      Das ganze Drumherum sieht schon besser aus. Aber auch nicht soo viel besser, wie es der Trailer vermuten ließ.
      Die ganzen Wasseranimationen und Rutschen dagegen sahen schon sehr geil aus.
      Urlaubsfeeling pur. ^_^

      @@kirovr6266finde ich aber auch! Sieht aus wie ein Mobile Game von dem Menü her. Hoffe sie ändern es noch ein wenig, jedoch muss bedacht werden das es sich noch um ein DEV Tool hält, die sind doch bestimmt eher so gebastelt

    The graphics looks a bit more cartoony or is it just me. I feel like pc 1 looks more realistic. I hope I am wrong

      Rather the opossite. But be patient, cause its Alpha (or not even alpha) footage

      @@CoasterTrax Yeah, but it's late alpha. The art style isn't going to change before release. They may offer color profile options though that could change the look.
