This is absolutely tremendous - this hymn is my all time favorite, and I think this is the best rendition I've ever witnessed of it. Thank you so much for uploading and sharing!
A lot of times, the organ player will play this at the end of a funeral as they are wheeling the casket out of the church. : But it does sound better if it is sang a little faster. I sing it faster.@@peterchristie1096
Sang this as the Processional Hymn at my mother's funeral.
I grew up in a small Methodist church and even if I don't know all the words, the melodies to these old hymns bring me peace and comfort.
Makes me smile every time😊
Lord, please back the old hymns!!!

One of mine too.
Such beautiful music from this church, as always! I am grateful for this choir's heartfelt performances, and for their talented director/organist.

Joyful Hymn
Lord hear our prayer
Jesus is mine ❤❤❤❤❤
The organist played this perfectly. I wish I had that instrument instead of the little 5 rank organ I play.
MIGHTY Plymouth
Love this.
Praise the Lord
Yes! On a Facebook page I talked about dropping out and letting the congregation sing a capella. They thought I was nuts.
Simply saying THANK YOU!!!!!
I like to hear this played and sang a little bit faster. I can sing it faster, and I do.
I quite agree. This sounds like a funeral dirge, it needs to go a lot faster and sound more joyous which I am sure the composer intended.

@@peterchristie1096 LOL, dirge is a little extreme. But yeah, it should be faster. Still a great job by the organist, choir and congregation.
