Always think of my Grandpa Victor when I hear this piece (he was a gem of a person)......he wanted it played and sang at his funeral. This is nicely done!
@@jcastano Thanks for the update. Sad to see St. Mark’s struggling so much in recent times. Many churches are going through the same problems. Perhaps it’s a sign that there needs to be a realignment with God’s will.
The re-harmonization on the last verse is really effective! That chord on "Heaven's" makes me think I've died and gone to heaven!
❤❤❤
Long live Philadelphia, the city of 'Brotherly Love'.
Many of the churchs in Center City were built during the Gilded Age by wealthy Philadelphians.
One of my favorites, and I love this harmonization. This organist is simply superb! Well done!
Wonderful congregational singing! Always inspiring! Thanks for posting!

Belisima! Never been this close to heaven before. Amazing! That organ just kills it!
Wonderful
Marvelous! Thank you so much.
I just love congregational singing of hymns

Amazing 👌🏻😎
Too bad the organist left.
That is so sad to hear.
Why did he leave?
@@ProfesserLuigi Probably a better opportunity. Quite a few of the staff left there, including the rector.
@@Modeltnick He [the organist and choirmaster] left, after much discernment, to join the staff of his husband's parish in Rosemont, PA.
