The veil of the temple was NEVER SPRINKLED with blood. It was the Mercy Seat that was sprinkled. The reason the veil was rent was to show that we no longer need a high priest for sacrifices as Christ Jesus is our high priest forever. We no longer need the priest of the old covenant as the daily sacrifices had ended. And the veil was approximately 8" thick(the breath of a man's hand) & 90' high. In Daniel 9:26 where it said the prince is talking about the antichrist. It said the people of the prince will destroy the city and he will make a covenant for one week which is 7days=7 years
The word "nagid", translated as prince, is used twice in the prophecy. In the first instance, in 9:25, it said "mā·šî·aḥ nā·ḡîḏ" (Messiah Prince). The subject person does not change in the next verse, 9:26 when it speaks of the nā·ḡîḏ (prince) "who is to come" whose people will destroy the city and the sanctuary. In fact, what we have in 9:26 is a double entendre: Here, "nagid" refers, at once, both to Messiah the Prince and to Titus, the literal prince, son of Emperor Vespasian, who led the Roman assault. Christ spiritually guided and oversaw the Roman legions to execute his wrath on Jerusalem and Titus did so in the physical sense in 70 AD. Within 9:27 it translates as "...upon/over/above the wing of abominations, he will be desolating", the wing of abominations being the eagle idols to Zeus-Jupiter carried by the Romans as they marched into the holy city and sanctuary. As for, "He will cause to be confirmed covenant with regard to the multitude, one week", this refers to the ministry of Jesus, and then of his apostles after he was cut off (killed) in the middle of that week, confirming the covenant with the many which Jesus declared at the Last Supper in the same kind of language: Mark 14:24: "He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant which is poured out for many ." Matthew 26:28 "This is My blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

@@OLPC80 Yes, the Messiah was cut off, and then, as a consequence of that rejection of the Messiah, the people of the coming prince (meaning at once both Jesus, spiritually, and Titus, physically, overseeing this event) brought people (the Roman army) to destroy the city and the sanctuary in 70 AD. When the disciples had asked Jesus their questions in Matthew 24:3, in reaction to his statement that the 2nd temple would be destroyed, they assumed that the questions they were asking all pertained to the same time in the future. This is why they asked, all in the same breath, as it were, when the destruction of the temple and the end of the world and what the signs of his coming would be. Of course, Jesus knew that the temple would be destroyed only a few decades later but that the end of the world would happen much later than that, so his detailed answer clarified both, and in his answer he put the destruction of the temple into context within the series of events which would occur from their lifetimes until his second coming: Through Matthew 24:14, Jesus was describing all of the types of events and signs that would occur up until the end of the world. While explaining all of this, he makes two summary "passes" over the details, first from verses 5 to 8, then from verses 9 to 14. In the latter, he warns the disciples that they will ("then' = Τότε = "at that time") be delivered into tribulation and be persecuted and killed for his name's sake. Then, starting at Matthew 24:15, Jesus digresses from the preceding overall summary and begins speaking specifically of the surrounding of Jerusalem by armies (as Luke 21:20 clarifies)... " _Therefore_ (οὖν = for that reason), when _you_ (singular "You") should see the abomination of desolation, having been spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, standing in the holy place...let those in Judea flee...because at that time there will be great tribulation..." Notice that he was saying, personally, to at least one of the disciples who stood there that " _You_ should see" the Jerusalem siege occur. He was not speaking to a future reader of the Bible.

Very interesting and makes a lot of sense. A lot more sense than other interpretations. However I am still confused about a few things. Definitely going to save this video and watch it several times . If God brings the Nations against Jerusalem after the millennium, who are the ones who are ravished, if it's talking about New Jerusalem, and the saints? This doesn't make sense to me. The veil of the temple was NEVER SPRINKLED with blood. It was the Mercy Seat that was sprinkled. The reason the veil was rent was to show that we no longer need a high priest for sacrifices as Christ Jesus is our high priest forever. We no longer need the priest of the old covenant as the daily sacrifices had ended.
And the veil was approximately 8" thick(the breath of a man's hand) & 90' high.

In Daniel 9:26 where it said the prince is talking about the antichrist. It said the people of the prince will destroy the city and he will make a covenant for one week which is 7days=7 years
The word "nagid", translated as prince, is used twice in the prophecy. In the first instance, in 9:25, it said "mā·šî·aḥ nā·ḡîḏ" (Messiah Prince). The subject person does not change in the next verse, 9:26 when it speaks of the nā·ḡîḏ (prince) "who is to come" whose people will destroy the city and the sanctuary.
In fact, what we have in 9:26 is a double entendre: Here, "nagid" refers, at once, both to Messiah the Prince and to Titus, the literal prince, son of Emperor Vespasian, who led the Roman assault. Christ spiritually guided and oversaw the Roman legions to execute his wrath on Jerusalem and Titus did so in the physical sense in 70 AD. Within 9:27 it translates as "...upon/over/above the wing of abominations, he will be desolating", the wing of abominations being the eagle idols to Zeus-Jupiter carried by the Romans as they marched into the holy city and sanctuary.
As for, "He will cause to be confirmed covenant with regard to the multitude, one week", this refers to the ministry of Jesus, and then of his apostles after he was cut off (killed) in the middle of that week, confirming the covenant with the many which Jesus declared at the Last Supper in the same kind of language:
Mark 14:24: "He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant which is poured out for many ."
Matthew 26:28 "This is My blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

@@OLPC80 Yes, the Messiah was cut off, and then, as a consequence of that rejection of the Messiah, the people of the coming prince (meaning at once both Jesus, spiritually, and Titus, physically, overseeing this event) brought people (the Roman army) to destroy the city and the sanctuary in 70 AD.
When the disciples had asked Jesus their questions in Matthew 24:3, in reaction to his statement that the 2nd temple would be destroyed, they assumed that the questions they were asking all pertained to the same time in the future. This is why they asked, all in the same breath, as it were, when the destruction of the temple and the end of the world and what the signs of his coming would be.
Of course, Jesus knew that the temple would be destroyed only a few decades later but that the end of the world would happen much later than that, so his detailed answer clarified both, and in his answer he put the destruction of the temple into context within the series of events which would occur from their lifetimes until his second coming:
Through Matthew 24:14, Jesus was describing all of the types of events and signs that would occur up until the end of the world. While explaining all of this, he makes two summary "passes" over the details, first from verses 5 to 8, then from verses 9 to 14. In the latter, he warns the disciples that they will ("then' = Τότε = "at that time") be delivered into tribulation and be persecuted and killed for his name's sake.
Then, starting at Matthew 24:15, Jesus digresses from the preceding overall summary and begins speaking specifically of the surrounding of Jerusalem by armies (as Luke 21:20 clarifies)...
" _Therefore_ (οὖν = for that reason), when _you_ (singular "You") should see the abomination of desolation, having been spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, standing in the holy place...let those in Judea flee...because at that time there will be great tribulation..."
Notice that he was saying, personally, to at least one of the disciples who stood there that " _You_ should see" the Jerusalem siege occur. He was not speaking to a future reader of the Bible.

Very interesting and makes a lot of sense. A lot more sense than other interpretations. However I am still confused about a few things. Definitely going to save this video and watch it several times .
If God brings the Nations against Jerusalem after the millennium, who are the ones who are ravished, if it's talking about New Jerusalem, and the saints? This doesn't make sense to me.
Also, when Paul says that the man of sin must be revealed first, where does that come in with all of this?? So many more questions now than answers.
