Just watched Ricky Phillips walk through his rig with an interviewer, and apparently the idea was to have a few different sets of matching guitars/basses for various songs, but since it took a long time for the three of them to get guitars individually built, shipped, and set up, they just have the one sea foam green set and only use them all together on this song.

Todd Sucherman is freaking incredible. The final fill at the end is perfectly played. Also, keeping everything perfectly set in the 7/8 and 5/4 (or 5/8 depending on how they chose to “write” it) sections is just second nature to the guy. Gowan is 20 times the keyboard player that Dennis was. Might not sing as well, but at least the band gets along well. Fuck the Hall of Fame for not even putting them on the ballot yet.
