This is a great review! I would like to point out one thing about the animals and there enclosures, yes they look bad, but many of the animal enclosures do consist of multiple rooms which gives the animals much more room than what is visible at first glance. The look is definitely something to improve on but it is misunderstood for sure. Overall though this is a great video! Definitely a thumbs up from me!
The Blue Victorian style building used to be The Opera House. In the 70s Lagoon produced Opera shows that would take place inside the Blue Building. The weird doors were back stage doors to bring in sets and equipment for those Opera shows.
Thanks for your comment! It’s a pity we didn’t get a chance to meet in person, but we’re glad you enjoyed the park. If you have any suggestions or thoughts about the attractions, feel free to reach out. Hope we can connect more closely next time!
There used to be a log flume but they got rid of it because they can't repair it. Did you know that wicked is the world's first vertical launch coaster. Colossus the fire dragon actually has an extra few feet of track. You got to go during frightmares.
This is a really great Park, very underrated. It's definitely got that non chain family owned charm. I would have to agree about the animal Enclosures though, it kinda brings the park down in my opinion. I've heard that they take good care of them, but man, those cages are so depressing. Aside from that aspect, this is probably one of my favorite parks in the country, so it stinks how big of a bummer the Zoo is. Also, that big blue building used to be the opera house back in the 70s. Now it is used for Frightmares costume storage.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you like the park but understand your concerns about the animal enclosures. We will continue to monitor this issue and hope to see improvements in the future. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and we look forward to your next visit!
I’m a huge theme park guy and really enjoy your and Molly’s videos. Going to WDW in a few weeks… wanted to comment that Lagoon has always looked amazing and is on my list, but, so happy you always mention things like the issues with the animal enclosures. That’s just not okay in a time when we all know better. Keep up the good work.
Love lagoon, the zoo part sucks and just makes me sad, but one of the bonuses (for me anyway) if you are disabled/need a wheelchair you get to go twice on all the rides
They need to do something about the absurd conditions of their animal enclosures. SeaWorld does a lovely job with their enclosures and is actively involved in conservation efforts. What this park has is absolutely unacceptable. Kind of a stain on an otherwise cool amusement park.
Thank you for your input! We understand your concerns about the conditions of the animal enclosures and will forward your feedback to the relevant departments. We will continue to work on improving the overall park experience. Thanks for your attention, and we hope you have a better experience next time
Cliffhanger is trash now. In the early 2000s it was intense and so much fun. Apparently Lagoon was supposed to use distilled water and they didn’t which lead to the ride breaking down a lot
A couple of comments. First Primordial could almost be called Wonder Mountain Guardian 2.0. As for the zoo. I have seen videos of this before, with the train ride. I find it incredible, that such a place is allowed to exist in this day and age. I think it is kind of like the old zoo in Toronto before they moved into their current zoo. I have vague memories of going to the old zoo when I was a kid and I kind of remember the old style cages. For some of the animals, the enclosures should be at least ten times as big and they need to be themed better to their natural habitat as well. This is definitely a candidate for worst zoo in North America. They should just send the animals elsewhere if they are not going to properly care for them.
It looks bad at first glance, the sad part is that people don’t realize animals have a lot more behind what people do see. There’s other rooms for the animals to go between! They all have plenty of space, and the workers are always doing there best to keep the animals active and happy, the cats are a bit harder considering a lion sleeps 22 hours a day!
Thought that it was cool, until I heard the price, and saw the animal prison. It's 2024. No theme parks should be using caged animals for entertainment.
$92 is outrageous, for a couple bucks more I can get a season pass to Cedar Point! Omg how many bad capacity coasters can you have in a park. That zoo needs to be shut down immediately, people have better enclosures for animals in their backyard, absolutely unbelievable and disgusting! $92 and tons of people in the park and your animal exhibits look like something from 70 years ago!
I disagree, lagoon is one of the best amusement parks in the western United States, in the middle of no where and I love how their coasters are very unique compared to otter coasters in other parks. Lagoon can’t help with their prices because the cost of labor has all gone up and in order to keep the park operating they had to increase the prices. And their zoo is actually a rescue zoo and the animals are rescue animals, they are not there just for their gain and money, they are actually very well taken care of and they’d be dead if they weren’t.
@@kevinmiller4457 No they ain’t, at least they’re left alone and not whipped and forced to do stuff like they do to circus animals. The park is still worth it no matter how expensive, wicked, cannibal and primordial are ALL amazing roller coasters.

Terroride and Castle are both Bill Tracy dark rides.
30:14 I had that exact same reaction when I went.
The kids drop towers, I think offer a better ride than Rocket.

The problem with cliffhanger is the manufacturer mondial used materials that were never supposed to be constantly sprayed with water!
@@Coasterwishlist interesting I did not know that. Thank you for some interesting information 😊

This is one of those parks that's out in the middle of nowhere. What else would you recommend doing while in the area?
I was there on a pretty quick trip. Hit some breweries, an Oktoberfest celebration & the aquarium (which was well done).
The zoo should be taken out and be made into a new ride boardwalk. Keep the train and perhaps a second station on the other side.
The Bat is my favorite! Also, the “Zoo” area is an absolute mess! It should be reported and shut down!

$92 and you won’t buy any coasters from big manufacturers
