I've used Protonmail for about 2 months and get a lot of unwanted mail from old subscriptions or searching the 'net. I need to review all the almost 500 emails I now have and disposition them. I want to sort them all by sender but don't know if that is even possible. Also, once I delete a group of message and they are in trash, how can I simply 'empty trash' rather than deleting one at a time? Seems counterintuitive to me. I'm seriously contemplating just using gmail which is not my favorite either.
I watched your tutorial, it is based on the old version of Proton Mail not on the upgraded version. One feature I am looking for is how to send encrypted emails to a non-Proton user and how a non-Proton user can reply with an encrypted email?

Can you answer a question for me about Protonmail? I have set up my account already and I imported all my Gmail files into my Protonmail. However, I cannot figure a way to put an email I receive in Protonmail into one of the Gmail folders I imported. Is this possible or do I now have to set up all new folders in Protonmail to file my emails? I find Protonmail is not very user friendly and I cannot find any real good tutorials. Hi Marcus, Just a couple of questions; for encrypted mail you would need to send that recipient the password in order to decrypt? 2nd, this service like most others I have researched does not provide a read receipt that notifies me when the recipient reads that email I sent them, do you know of any mail app that offers this option?
The desktop version is limited, I dont like the fact that it does not pop open a new window when I want to compose a new message, you are confined to the very small space inside the environment layout.
How do you change the time messages are received/sent? I see how to change the time zone and the 24 -hour clock, but the time itself is not correct. Thanks.
