  • Reviewing another Keyboard at my favorite Music Store ‪@pmtromford6930‬
In the world of musical instruments, where innovation and craftsmanship often collide with a hefty price tag, the KORG Pa5X stands out. It's not just another keyboard; it's a high-end arranger keyboard with a price tag that might make even seasoned musicians do a double-take. At $4700, the KORG Pa5X raises a crucial question for musicians and enthusiasts alike: is it worth the investment?

    The Price Factor
At $4700, the Pa5X is undoubtedly an investment. It's priced significantly higher than many other keyboards and digital pianos in the market. But who is it for, and why might the price be justified?
    Target Audience
Professional Musicians: For touring professionals and studio musicians, the Pa5X offers an unmatched range of features that can justify the cost.
Serious Enthusiasts: Hobbyists who are serious about their musical craft and desire professional-grade equipment might find the Pa5X a worthwhile long-term investment.
    Justifying the Cost
Longevity and Reliability: KORG keyboards are known for their durability. The Pa5X is built to last, potentially saving money in the long run.
All-in-One Workstation: Considering the cost of purchasing multiple instruments and equipment to match its capabilities, the Pa5X can be seen as a cost-effective solution.
Resale Value: High-end keyboards like the Pa5X tend to maintain a good resale value.
    Comparison with Competitors
When considering the Pa5X, it's important to look at what else is available in the market. Brands like Yamaha, Roland, and Nord offer keyboards and workstations that compete in features and price. Each brand has its unique strengths, and comparing them can help in making an informed decision.
    Conclusion
The KORG Pa5X is not just another expensive keyboard; it's a testament to KORG's commitment to quality and innovation. Its price point may not be for everyone, but for those who can afford it, the Pa5X promises an unrivaled musical experience. The decision to invest in such a high-end instrument depends on individual needs, career stage, and financial considerations. For those who do take the plunge, the Pa5X could be a game-changer, offering endless possibilities to explore and create music.

I personally older Korg workstations like the M1 and 01/W which are still good enough to make backing tracks and a lot cheaper although those
can still cost £400 but also I prefer sound modules over keyboards. About a year ago when I considered getting a Tyros 5 I preferred the Tyros 5
over the PA-4X even though the PA-4X sounds more superior to Tyros 5. But to be honest if creating backing tracks is more your thing your better off
getting a synth/workstation like Kross, Nautilus or Montage or using VST istruments like Halion 7 and Kontakt/Komplete by Native Instruments.
But mid range arrangers like the Yamaha PSR-SX keyboards are actually cheaper than Montage M, Nautilus and Kross so I might reconsider either
a Yamaha PSR-SX700 or SX900 at least as a fall-back in case it's no longer feasible to rebuy Halion if I ever get another computer as Stenberg's
installation and liscensing is so clunky and rather tedious but necessary for Cubase as there is no other DAW that competes with Cubase.

I love Korg. I have the little red one below this Pa4X (Pa700).
Below my Korg sit my old Yamaha HS4. Used to be the HS8 but that died beyond repair. LOL
But if I had to replace this Yamaha and since here in N. America, new organs are hard to get and insanely priced (WESI for example), I think I'd buy the Yamaha Genos 2 before buying the Pa5X. Mostly because the 2 Korgs do share a lot of the same sounds, whereas the Genos 2 has different sounds and representations of its features.
Mind you, if I had the room, I say screw it and get both the Genos 2 and this Pa5X. LOL
But the bigger issue, if my Yamaha HS4 dies, is that I then have to build a bass pedal kit, because I must have bass pedals... always.
    But hey, it's all fun.

Wow!!! Nice choice!! I have to check out the Genos 2! 🙏🏾 It's a pity sometimes expensive keyboards are so far beyond repair. 🥴 🎹

Really expensive, i think, for do the job like we said , the Yamaha SX900 is a better choice in second hand, here it's around 1400€ and you have almost the same specification from the Genos 1....so, that's do the job very well!!!
