Whoever that subscriber of yours is, sounds like a really smart guy! I like that green dial the best for sure. Great comparison, that 40 looks huge next to it. No one outside of the watch world could ever understand how big 2mm is. How bout that Oris Bronze Tax? I hadn’t thought about that.

Of three Oris watches with cotton candy theme you have showed off. My favorite is definitely the blue one. Definitely like colors that are off the beaten path every once in a while.
Any idea when you may show off some more Longines watches?
    Great video!
    Cheers!

Great video Titan. Yep, that green is absolutely amazing with the bronze as I thought it would be. I think that size actually suits your wrist better.
My next purchase might be the Rado Captain Cook Bronze Burgundy, but that pastel green with the bronze and with patina added to it, on a bronze bracelet could sway my mind. I'm going to be up in Newmarket on Monday, and there's a Kavar Jewelers there. Might drop in and check it out. Thanks

Yea I'm becoming obsessed with 38mm. And No problem 👍 not sure if they carry Oris at that location? Never been but they should.

    • @EscapementWatch
      @EscapementWatch  3 года назад

Ok I got confirmation they don't have Oris at that location just yet. But will in the future.

@@EscapementWatch wow, you finding out that info at this time is impressive. Thanks very much. Based on my Google search, the Brampton and Hamilton Kavar's aren't allowing in-store shopping yet, but I'm like most of us - "Watch Obsessed". So I will stop by and check out what else they have. Thanks FT

No Brampton has in store shopping that's where I always go.

A great video. It's good to see a comparison between different versions of the 'same/alternative' watch from the same brand on comparable straps.
Why would the bronze carry a premium? A chunk of the cost is down to the numbers produces per production batch. My guess is that the bronze is still regarded as a niche watch so production runs will be smaller. Also if this is new tooling for bronze production there will be a need to get a return on investment with a lower throughput but as you say if this tooling could be re-purposed for a new SS case version that return on investment could well be shorter.

Great points on ROI. Yes we shall see what happens in the future. Hopefully sooner rather then later!

I love them when fresh but not as they age. I wonder what the candy dials would like in a titanium model 🤔

Oh man, that 40mm dark green is awesome. I like cotton candy models also, but would have limited wear due to my wardrobe. Does Kavar Jewlers, ship to the US? Thanks,

I like the bronze, and I love the 38mm, I even kinda like the colors especially green. But I really want the retro dial with 3, 6, 9, & 12; it is currently discontinued and I’ve talked to several ADs who said it just wasn’t that popular. I wonder if there’s any hope at all of seeing that dial return in 38mm? Would be an instant buy from me.

    I have 7.25 wrist
Can someone please help me choose?
I was about to buy a black bay bronze at 43mm (bigger than average)
    VS this! (38mm, slightly small)

    • @EscapementWatch

      Maybe try a 40mm

      @@EscapementWatch they don’t come in 40mm
My options here are 38 and 43*
My current watch sits well at 41mm.
But I am buying one out of the two specific watches and I don’t know whether to size up or down.

I still don’t think you can beat the original 40mm 65 with the retro style dial. These bright colours are all the rage but not for me at all.
