  • The Sunday Rant and the ATA. The government is looking into autonomous trucks and will have some kind of meeting about them during driver appreciation week. Awesome. No one on the invited list is a driver as far as I can see. The American Trucking Association can't wait to give us the boot so their member companies can make more money. While still many years away of widespread deployment, the ATA and it's allies are looking forward to that day. Are you ready? My prediction is 5-10% of trucks go autonomous in the next decade. Most of those are spotters and OTR running south of I-40.

I'm going to stock up on silly string and spray autonomous vehicles to share the joy.

I think that I need to start a security company just for these trucks. Simple because they will be hit by thieves.

We can not let them compromise the standards that we are held to.

Hey Mark; What do you think Companies would do if drivers started bringing Attorneys with them to Orientation 😂? Especially on LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS? I think that would really shake up the industry, it would be the coolest thing, just imagine all that crap they give us to sign that we really never had to. 😮. Anytime you are required to sign BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENTS , you have the right to have an Attorney present.

As far as fueling automonus trucks, each one will be fueled like the USS Enterprise. I think the green lot lizards walking the empty parking lot will be disappointed that Captain Kirk type drivers won't have rock, smokes or cash.

Narula till every vehicle on the road, every sign, every squirrel, rat, bird, deer, and anything else that could remotely and possibly get onto the road karma Is equipped with a transceiver going to a computer that can control everything. In other words ain’t gonna happen in our lifetimes. All vehicles not equipped with such a device would have to be prohibited from use and public roadways

Well Mark , I heard your concern I had my CDL since 2005 I’ve been driving I had my own company did my own dispatching let me ask you how many times did you had to go get your truck with driver abandoned truck how many times did they call you and say I’m leaving the truck you better go get it before it run out of fuel. How many times did they call you and say listen I damaged your truck and made so much damage and I quit. Oh, you know what I say, when ever autonomous trucks will be here it’s not soon enough you can make your argument but until you’re going to be on the side of truck owner, at least all your comments are just wining just like the rest of them and if you don’t believe me, talk to anyone whoever had Trucking Company

For the first time I see your videos, they are very educational, the first one I saw was 5 years ago, you spoke badly about SOAR's lease, taste when I was going to call them... do you have any recommendations with whom at this time 2023 or are they the same? All of them?
