The iRig Mic HD 2 has a few key upgrades from the HD. I think it's a great tool to be able to not only use with the Apple iPhone and iPad but a PC or MAC for podcasting or voice overs.

How do I use this mic when recording video on my I-phone? What’s the easiest way?
Have you ever compared the Irig HD mic with the Irig Studio mic? I am having difficulty choosing between the the two. I am thinking I will need a little wider pickup pattern for one reason and it looks like the studio model would win out in this category. The HD looks more like a hand held vocal mic over the typical condenser mic. It will be used for recording instruments. You had mentioned the HD mic seemed to have a narrow pickup range.
What Mic setup do you use? How much would you spend?

Will the microphone work while screen recording?
This mic seems to have very low quality connectors.Mine lasted five months with both the USB and 3,5 jack connector broken.Also the microphone inside comes off from the smallest shake.Quality issues,don’t waste your money on this.

Will this work directly into my Octatrack MK2? With no voice processor, or mixer.... using the Octatrack mk2 as a standalone music workstation ( including as mixer ) ? I will be performing live and screaming into it like a mad man. Thanks.
It only plugs into the iPhone .... so probably not..

I would say no.. but let me mess with it and I’ll let you know
It is. Of course in normal situations. Recording in the room with the window opened with bird sounds and wind. Compare with GoPro mic and if you like to shot inside the best money value solution. You may still need to use audacity for perfection.

I only have android app for my tablet and my phone so that I can sing with the piano and write a music notebook.
I really enjoyed singing from Ez Voice because I love singing with headset with microphone and write the lyrics from my tablet.
