Griffey Jr.'s swing should be the new MLB logo
Like Jerry West served as the basis for the NBA loga
Swingman > Jumpman
I'm all for this.
@@BeeDotGee1113 nah
Born and raised in Seattle and we broke so much stuff around the house trying to mimic Griffeys swing
One of the all time great power hitters in MLB history. Ken Griffey Jr was a Gold Glove caliber outfielder also; one of the most purely gifted athletes to ever play MLB.
Ken Griffey, Jr. is my all-time favorite player and I have over a 1000 cards of him along with Starting Lineups, and countless others
congradulations
Mine too,
Let's trade
I have his number on my jersey number 24
It has grown since then
greatest swing of all time Just beautiful and fluid bro
No, Ted Williams had the best swing of all time.
@@nicolosito no
@@nicolositoNope its Griffey
@@beastmodeforever8674 I'll still go with Ted Williams' swing as the best of all time.
Everyone in the room stopped what they were doing when Jr was up to bat it was that serious for me as a kid..the best player I've ever seen in all facets of the game no question
His swing was so smooth
I don't think we'll ever see another guy like Griffey in the league again, he was truly one of a kind. The closest I can think of though is Mike Trout.
+TheCodedtestament even trouty doesnt have the same swing... i think thats what made Jr. so iconic
Robbie Cano has a sweet ass swing. At least he did with the yanks.
+Houston Snelbaker cano still has that swing.... And he's having as good a season as he's ever had
you forgot. If it doesnt happen in New York then New Yorkers dont think it actually happened
RAQUAAHWA TheCodedtestament Aaron judge
So glad I got to watch him his whole career. He was a left handed Willie Mays.
wow. that's the best comparison
I remember Griffey Jr’s swing growing up. It was pure and compact.
What little leaguer didn't want to be Ken Griffey?
Me
I know I did!
Me
I'm saying not me because I already have somebody I look up to Ted Williams
Notice the front arm bar that coaches try to coach out of players and the back arm bent at 90 at contact? That's how he made his money.
what an awesome looking set
It’s like a high golf swing lol dude was unreal.. loved watching him when I was growing up in cincy.
Batting mechanics, muscle memory, his dad was great and so great genes I guess but there is a lot of hard work to get to this that he done on his own... his swing is the best there ever has been. Didn't have a video of what his should look like. Man was an athlete.
Griffey unquestionably had the best looking baseball swing I've ever seen. He made hitting homers look effortless, but he could also hit for average and bring in men on base (he hit .286 lifetime with over 1,800 RBis). In terms of the most effective swing though, that belonged to Barry Bonds. He'd only see 2 or 3 pitches a game worth hitting, and invariably put one of them out of the yard.
Barry Bonds: Jonathan's Swing Reminds Me Of Griffey's And He Even Does Ken's Home Run Trout
I remember in the parking lot as a kid in our sandlot...imitated him always
Smoltz lookin' like MC Hammer out here.
MC Hammer, what team did he play for?
@@JaysonT1 rumor has it he still plays... some say he is too legit, too legit to quit.
@@JR_harlow😂😂😂
Griffey and Anthony rizzo got beautiful swings
chris herrera except Rizzo can’t go oppo
Great breakdown of a great swing.
it was perfect...absolutely beautiful
In my lifetime, I have never been more convinced that someone was born to play baseball than I was with the Kid. He was never going to do anything else.
Griffey has been my favorite player for 25 years
The Mayor talking about the KID! love it!
I tell people all the time when i was in the minors with the Mariners, jr is not a lil dude, im 5'8 played 2nd base , and jr had big ass legs he was a beast
Best looking swing I have ever seen...
Griffey Jr. and Will Clark. Best swings ever.
Nah, I drool over Manny Ramirez' swings
Griffey Jr and Strawberry
Barry Bonds
Best f*cking swing of all time.
NO.1 beauty
A word is missing. A Look AT Ken Griffey Jr.'s Hall of Fame Swing. You're welcome.
+lelabotoxique I don't see anything missing
+James Kennedy That's because they added the missing word.
gotcha I see lol
just like fred mcgriff, these men never use weights, played the game clean. a lot of yoga and flexability. truly the greatest player of all-time and a hero the Strike - post Steroid era. the face of major league baseball and now the new face of the hall of fame. well deserve.
Amazazing
sweetest swing ever
Closest one;Darryl Strawberry!!?
+Rahloh McDonogh l love the Strawman, but the closest to Junior in terms of sweetest swings, in my opinion, was Will "the thrill" Clark.
+The Grandoti Will is a New Orleans cat,great swing:Its the lefties :)
+The Grandoti Will is a New Orleans cat,great swing:Its the lefties :)
Robinson cano is 2nd behind the kid
That damn Kingdome in Seattle robbed Griffey of a truly goat career.(he's still one of the best)
How so? The Kingdome was a hitter friendly venue.
I read the description that his 'swing' was voted into the hall of fame ;-)
Is there any videos on Ken Griffey actually showing his swing steps
He has good genetics. He has a swing like his dad. Damn near the exact same finish
My guy is salivating
Griffey gets my HOF vote. Iron your shirt guy
Lmao! I was noticing that too
Today he goes in the Hall of Fame
Griffey,M Ramirez and Cano hands down
Prettiest swing!!!
Griffey’s swing is equivalent to Jordan’s sideways dunk, it’s historical.
Any takers on how many walks he'll get in MLB 17 The Show? lol!!!
96
Junior could take your breath away.
keeping the bat in the strike zone baybeh
Best left handed swing
Joe Reinard could you hit like Ken Griffey Jr. I remember you were naturally left-handed.
Such a great fucking swing
ikr
All in the hips baby
YORDAN Alvarez has that swing
i hate that from figure it out wild style where it was half the season 2 with 1 cast cause of yokozuna for stephanie mcmahon like the wcw that's why that kiss demon baseball instead goodness though
Who else here from Lebron's tweet
Lebron, never heard of her
How bout Darryl Strawberry's swing
Palmeiro
pretty sad that he is teaching the wrong way of hitting because griffey is not swinging down on the baseball, he is rotating his hips and shoulders. Not this A to C swing bs. Sucks that MLB network can't even get it right.
I actually employ the Bow and Arrow effect in golf and have great results as well. I am not a world class golfer for sure but at least a happy one. I will explain my bow and arrow method of golf to anyone who wishes to question me further on this. This is what the PGA do not want you to know. My information is free , simple and I am not selling anything.
Assuming he didn't use, he was cheated out of his birthright by Barry Bonds and the others. He should have been considered on the level of Mickey Mantle.
Hank Aaron said, on the David Letterman show, that prior to his knee injury Mantle had more all-around talent than himself or anybody else.

Guys plz tell me. What's so nice about his swing , I just couldn't get it
His swing looks effortless and smooth..I've never seen a baseball player have a smooth a swing like that.
And yet, he packed incredible power into that swing, because the swing was mechanically very good-there just wasn't any wasted motion in it.
Also, even though it sounds counter-intuitive, in a sense he wasn't trying to hit the ball-he'd swing the bat in an arc that the ball would just get in the way.
Sure JR had an amazing looking swing but who is Casey to judge! He probably had the ugliest swing in all of baseball.. Literally made me wanna gag!
Those guys suck at being commentators
