@@jman3081 His scoring system has the biggest jump in quality between those 2 scores. A place with mediocre pizza but has history, a nice owner, and a nice interior will get a max 7.9, but never an 8.1. When he scores something an 8.1 it's a legitimate great pizza.
After all these years, I still don't understand why Dave doesn't open the box as soon as he gets out to let the pizza start cooling off so he doesn't burn his face off. And it would be an opportunity to get a close-up image of it so we can all see more clearly what it looks like.

Rodriguez farms in Watsonville has the best strawberries in the world. Not sure they ship to Brooklyn, but you can get at farmers markets throughout the bay area. So good.
In the end. Dave truly wants to help good businesses, especially smaller ones. I respect the guy for everything he’s done for them. When I got out of the Army I started cooking. It was my passion as a child, then Covid hit. I saw Dave helping so many during Covid. I appreciate him so much and hope he comes back to Atlanta, I’d love to meet him.
Yeah he helped alot of ppl get through covid, his unboxing and frozen reviews kept me sane honestly during the lockdown . Plus he was doing the bar stool fund for struggling businesses. For a someone wealthy he's atleast out doing some positive shit and helping the small family owned places .

Amagansett is a town on eastern Long Island. Less than a week ago Dave said all pizza on Long Island is the same and wasn't impressed. Yet he scores this one an 8.1.
If you're still in upstate NY go to SLICES of Saugerties. When you get back to Brooklyn go to Nino's Pizzeria on 92st 3rd Ave. Both are my favorite pizza spots hands down for their impeccable cheese slice. Everyone knows the pizza.

The Brooklyn one had more char on the crust but could have been undercooked in the center, the underside of the second pie had char near the center.
