All I heard is Idolises Ander Herrera and I am completely sold. A player spitting on the City badge is exactly the kind of mentality I hope to have from a new signing
The Ederson signing makes the most sense to me. Already used to a back 3 system at Atlanta. He is 25 so it will allow Mainoo to develop at a steady pace without any pressure, and he can play next to Ugarte now. However, concerned about the price because Atlanta are difficult to negotiate with. They sold us Hojlund for 72 million when he was 40 million at best. We just paid for potential and because we were desperate. Hopefully Wilcox and company wont overspend.
The new football department boffins already grossly overpaid for Ugarte, Yoro, Zirkzee and to a lesser degree also for de Ligt. What makes you think they won't continue to do so? We can't afford Ederson. I think United will try for some loan moves, but even that may not be affordable if we don't sell anyone. Of the three players mentioned in this video I want Nypan more than the other two.
Sverre grew up a United fan. He appeared on a norwegian United podcast after the game he played against us in the summer where he talked about it. Being from Norway, I hope he becomes great for United or not
I agree; and we need to avoid spending big on anyone that is not Prem league proven. We desperately need players to come in - and to hit the ground running!
Nypen and Alvaro seem like the most likely options because of their price alone. We need some players in without splashing big cash. and right now 50 mil pounds is big cash because of FFP.
I think it's not out of the realms of possibility that we end up signing 4lb's by next summer with 2 of them being converted to the inverted RWB role. Dorgu definiitely more likely to be a RWB option I think.
Have you seen much if Dorgu? Watched him this week for Lecce. Seems composed, energetic and a real unit, works well working those triangles down the line like we're trying at the moment. He's comfortable on the left and right. So he could end up playing either side, like you say. I think a wing back is by far the most pressing issue. So I really hope we go for him, even if we have plans to bring in a bigger name in the summer. -----‐-------------------------------- If we're able to somehow ship out at least 2 of Cassa, Rashford & Erikson in Jan, then I'd consider a midfielder, and preferably a 8 not a 10. (Not saying we don't need a 10, just order of priority) 😅

The thing with that Left Wing Back position especially when bruno plays, it forces the lwb to occupy winger like positions, which is in my opinion why dalot struggled because its not familiar to him at all considering that he is originally a RB
@@ronnie5329 doubt it, the team overall would be super defensive, it should be done in a way like İnter with how offensive Dimarco and Dumfries are, or Frimpong and Grimaldo, but our players are classic fullbacks, id even play Dalot at the RCB,

Not sure if Gomes fits the system. Seems to have to same physicality problems as Mainoo in midfield and not sure if he has the ability to create/press enough in the final third behind the striker.
@duncan3292 I love Bruno, but Wouldn't Gomes be a decent option to bruno. Bruno is all over the place a lot of the time covering every blade of grass - Gomes is a more disciplined midfielder, and imo would be a different option for the team. Respect your opinion though, have a good Christmas 👍🏻
Can't argue with those, given it's January. Maybe a loan for Evan Ferguson. He's a United fan after all. Injury is a risk, but as a 3rd striker in the mix we could afford to protect him. For next summer though... Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Tyler Dibling... we need to sew up the wing back positions. And then we can look at things like Alvaro's buyback, or free agents in Angel Gomes, Jonathan David, Tyrick Mitchell, Dominic Calvert-Lewin...
Nah Ederson is not a realistic signing in January. Atalanta are top of Serie A and challenging for their first ever title league. Highly unlikely that they let arguably their most important player go midseason, certainly not for under 60m. Only way that we're getting him in Jan is if we offer silly money or loan them Casemiro and agree to pay at least half his wages
We already have a squad of good players. Unfortunately they come under such relentless scrutiny and never-ending online abuse (the worst comes from a section of our own fanbase), that they can never relax enough to get in the zone and achieve their potential. Just a thought.
Spicy take. I like it. I understand Amorim wanting to see all the players and wanting to avoid injuries, but I’d also like to see a consistent back three and a consistent front three so they can learn to play together
Squad of good players??? Really? De Light, Yoro Mazzaroi, Mainoo, Hoylund Amadness. I count 6 players that's not even a team. Everyone else I would get rid.
some championship players we could look at for midfield: Ao Tanaka Hayden Hackney Ben Sheaf Vinicius Souza Ao would be my pick - shouldn't be too expensive, probably cheaper than ederson. can fight in midfield but also possesses a lot of quality on the ball. seeing him as an eriksen replacement. if we want to replace casemiro, maybe Souza Nusa as LWB or LFWD would be pretty good from Leipzig but might cost a bit. he also just moved. Liking what i'm hearing about Dorgu and Nuno Mendes as well for the LWB spot (Dorgu can play RWB as well, afaik) but the main target to replace rashford as an LFWD/SS would be Omar Marmoush. Had a good season last season but now having an unreal season. Maybe playing TOO well, right now. He'd fit right in as a left forward or second striker in the left 10 position. More of a summer signing. I also would NOT mind trying to poach Vini Jr or Rodrygo from Real, if possible. They have 3 world class right footed left side dominante forwards/wingers. Surely, there's a chance we can get deal for Rodrygo? don't think i need to explain how incredible either would be on the left 10 position For CB, throwing out names like Gila, Vivian Moreno, and Araujo (Benfica) as possible options. I'd like to also see the likes of Kukonki, Kone, Mantato, or Obi Martin come through this season maybe slowly starting next month. Mantato could absolutely play as RWB in our system
I guess Ronny was in your ear with Ederson… I would prefer to have Kerkez at LWB… young, strong, runs up and down the wings and can win duels at the same time
That little whisper after the game between him and ange lmao I could only imagine. Telling each other their own squads are shit. We are going to need some massive signings to change this around
We need two world class strikers. I know it will cost us $200mil but that’s the only way we can push for top four These players are gamble we need to loan players that can attack and score Let’s go for Sane - Son - Grealish
Charles De Ketelaere (left footed) No.10 left or right, get this guy before his price sky rockets. 23 years old a beast in the air and on the ground, everything we need right now in a 10, natural instincts to look for the striker first.
I know it is not going to happen, it's not realistic at all but I would love to see Wirtz at United. He would slot so perfectly behind Hojlund alongside either Bruno/Amad. I love Bruno but I can't see him driving this United side on for more than a few more years. With Ugarte and Mainoo in the midfield and amad locking down the right side of the formation, getting someone like Wirtz to work as an attaching playmaker would help address a lot of things. That being said, we literally do not have the finances or the standing to bring him in at the moment. That's possibly one of the few high profile signings I would back but it's just not on the cards.
Emerson all day long. Fantastic player. Great engine. The other two as well. That would be a brilliant window. Save the pennies for a striker in the summer.
Sverre Nypan has a real chance to become a solid player at the level of Håland or Ødegård! He has also been open about being careful with his next step, just like Håland was. Sadly i doubt he is going to the EPL now... but he is a United fan, so i believe he will be ours in a few years no matter what.
Ste, a lot of the discussion around the squad and future signings has been regarding athleticism. I think it would be interesting to look at players that raise the athletic floor of the team.

1:53 I'm so sick of these "signing for the decade" players. You'd think that after putting all our eggs in the Shaw, Mount, Rashford, Martial, Malacia, Hojlund baskets and getting let down over and over again we'd have learned our lesson by now. It's so obvious that the right way to go is to sign experienced (NOT galacticos) players between 23-26 years old, 27 at a push who are a year or two away from their peaks, getting their best years and then repeating the cycle every 4-5 years. 10 years is way too long in the modern game. Having players stick around for excessively long periods leads to them getting too comfortable, complacent and also risks player power setting in.
Now Mount is out for a few months, Nypan feels like a must. Garnacho Amad & Bruno leaves us lacking options ( not counting Rashford as he looks all but banished )
Absolutely zero signings is realistic unless existing players can be sold. Very few players are actually sellable. They have long term overpaid contracts
INEOS will make a move in January for a LWB, if the signing is a long term target. There is also the chance of signing more if we can offload players like Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Rashford.
Don't need Nypan just because he's cheap. Cheap doesn't often work. We need to sign players with serious talent and chance of succeeded and excelling as first team players.
Hi I know you're mental busy Ste, but I think a cool video would be your top 5 scouting reports. Look at past scouting reports and rank the top 5 in how they've done in their career since!
LWB to be bought in January (Theo Hernandez / Patrick Dorgu to alternate with Diego Leon Get Baleba from Brighton for 40m alongside Ugarte ASAP. They can also alternate between them when playing alongside someone else if needed such as CMs Barrios (A Madrid) 21 £30m Braganca (Sporting) 25 £ 12m Gonzalez (FCPorto) 22 £15m (Market value from transfer market) All players that can play in the 8 role CM and all can play in the 10 role AM. 3 technically sound players that can play multiple positions and would suit an Amorim style team. Osimen - arrange a similar style loan like Galatasaray have for the time being. 2 transfer windows. This is not a title winning team by any means, but it is definitely what needs to be prioritised and will get us back into top 4. From there, you continue to build the team and squad.
@ Tbf it probably doesn’t but it gives the player and his agent a real incentive that Man Utd are interested. There’s no way if Utd act now they pay 70-80m but a deal between 40-50m Could be struck if both the player and the club (Utd) want the move. If he wants to force a move to Utd, then that changes a lot of things as well.
Dorgu is not a ready made Roberto Carlos or even Pat Evra or Denis Irwin, but he’s better than Shaw and Malacia and can still develop in the right hands.
Amass seems lacking to me, he could do with going out on loan for a couple of seasons. LWB is a priority in January, I’d also be looking at RWB as as well they are highly important to this system, Diallo is doing a good job there but I’d still like a RWB to give the manager options. The Mount issue is a worry, his availability has been disastrous. Such a shame as at his best he would be ideal in one of those 10 roles. I’m wondering if there is a swap deal out there for Garnacho, I doubt it’s a possibility but Guler looks like a potential star if he’d leave Madrid.
The league should be used as an experiment now try youth try new things to implement in the Europa go all in jose style to get champions league that way.
I understand the philosophy of investing in youth, but we need to sign at least 2-3 attacking players who are nearing their peak/have peaked - age around 22-26, costing around 30-50 million. A left Wingback is definitely also high priority.
We put up a fight a show and battle against them lot down the road we showed passion and a way top win and we matched them beat them bit weve dropped off over the last couple games spurs was woe full going 3 0 down is beyond embarrassing beyond a joke now we just crumble tottenham deserved there win Bornmouth deserved there win they were more up for the game showed more determination more spirit more fight more willingness more enthusiasm more pride for us fans a sickening joke we've dropped off again this is dating back too last season FCS we've improved tho but we're leaking goals again set pieces teams look a threat we haven't fixed this
Morten Frendrup, DM/CM at Genoa or Morten Hjulmand at Sporting. Not because they are the best technicians, but because they run their butts off for the badge. Hjulmand for one will hold people accountable as well.
@@duncan3292 if wolves get relegated they won’t be able to afford the wages and they will have a fire sale……a lot of players get hyped up and fail miserably when they come to the Premier League, safest option is to get EPL tested players so they hit the ground running.
Amorim 's two diamonds are in inter Milan , one is di marco , other is dumfries. And I think he has to change his system because we cannot play in 3 at the back BECAUSE with DALOT and malacia or injured shaw ... AMORIM IS GOOD , THE PERSON WHO CAN SAVE UNITED AND MANAGED BIG TEAMS AND IN UNSTABLE SITUATION IS NAGLESMAN , after 2026 wc, I think he can leave germany and back to club football .
I don't agree that we have to buy in January. Let Amorim show what he can do with what he's got, that's what he's supposed to do, ie coach. Wait until end of season, as long as we aren't relegated, what's the issue with being mid table. We aren't realistically going to get top 4, are we.
I like nypan but is he any better of a prospect than biancheri or Lacey. I don’t want to see us lose amazing prospects like those by bringing this kid in.
Clubs going nowhere, Amorim's wasting his time, every time we get rid of a player we either don't replace them at all or get a worse player, bargain bin isn't getting anyone into the CL

Where does Gomes realistically fit into this system?
@ a 10
LWB to be bought in January (Theo Hernandez / Patrick Dorgu to alternate with Diego Leon
Get Baleba from Brighton for 40m alongside Ugarte ASAP. They can also alternate between them when playing alongside someone else if needed such as
CMs
Barrios (A Madrid) 21 £30m
Braganca (Sporting) 25 £ 12m
Gonzalez (FCPorto) 22 £15m
(Market value from transfer market)
All players that can play in the 8 role CM and all can play in the 10 role AM.
40m wouldn’t get you a response from Brighton for Baleba.
@ Tbf it probably doesn’t but it gives the player and his agent a real incentive that Man Utd are interested. There’s no way if Utd act now they pay 70-80m but a deal between 40-50m
Could be struck if both the player and the club (Utd) want the move. If he wants to force a move to Utd, then that changes a lot of things as well.
Dorgu is not a ready made Roberto Carlos or even Pat Evra or Denis Irwin, but he’s better than Shaw and Malacia and can still develop in the right hands.
He's playing on the right wing most of the time
Amass seems lacking to me, he could do with going out on loan for a couple of seasons.
The players referred to are in the price range and profile we should be looking at.
I think the Nypan signing is a no-brainer. Dorgu could be great as well. Ederson seems like a summer signing for me.
Are clubs taking Monopoly money as currency this year?
I miss Ander Herrera 😪 would kill for a midfielder with his desire and application now
The league should be used as an experiment now try youth try new things to implement in the Europa go all in jose style to get champions league that way.
I understand the philosophy of investing in youth, but we need to sign at least 2-3 attacking players who are nearing their peak/have peaked - age around 22-26, costing around 30-50 million.
A left Wingback is definitely also high priority.
Ruben Nevas, Adeyami and Alvaro Fernandez
We put up a fight a show and battle against them lot down the road we showed passion and a way top win and we matched them beat them bit weve dropped off over the last couple games spurs was woe full going 3 0 down is beyond embarrassing beyond a joke now we just crumble tottenham deserved there win Bornmouth deserved there win they were more up for the game showed more determination more spirit more fight more willingness more enthusiasm more pride for us fans a sickening joke we've dropped off again this is dating back too last season FCS we've improved tho but we're leaking goals again set pieces teams look a threat we haven't fixed this
think alvaro buy back is an option worth considering. very realistic for january
Morten Frendrup, DM/CM at Genoa or Morten Hjulmand at Sporting. Not because they are the best technicians, but because they run their butts off for the badge. Hjulmand for one will hold people accountable as well.
We need Bruno Guimarães, Pedro Gonzalez,Adeyemi, Milenkovic....
Ederson is top of the league with Atalanta. can't see him leaving in Jan
A swap of Rashford for Osihmen would be massive.
Patrick Dorgu seems expensive and unproven in epl unlike Rayan Ait Nouri from Wolverhampton, and didn’t we just buy a young LB Deigo Leon !!!
Dorgu is 3 years older than Leon and Ait Nouri will cost considerably more
@@duncan3292 if wolves get relegated they won’t be able to afford the wages and they will have a fire sale……a lot of players get hyped up and fail miserably when they come to the Premier League, safest option is to get EPL tested players so they hit the ground running.
Love all and if man city don't sign ederson before us I'd absolutely get him but if they do I'd just get richard rios
If somehow we got rid of shaw.rashford.mount.cassmero and Bruno we might get a few in but no chance these high earners leave the gravy train
Any idea why Harry isn't starting. I thought the new gaffer would give him a run but both managers have snubbed him
Not physically ready
I don't agree that we have to buy in January. Let Amorim show what he can do with what he's got, that's what he's supposed to do, ie coach. Wait until end of season, as long as we aren't relegated, what's the issue with being mid table. We aren't realistically going to get top 4, are we.
I don’t think Atalanta will let go of Ederson.. they’re currently top in their league. Why would they sell and risk their position in their league?
I like nypan but is he any better of a prospect than biancheri or Lacey. I don’t want to see us lose amazing prospects like those by bringing this kid in.
Totally agree and Amass and Gore Collyer
Different position to them.
@@sjewitt22 would they be under Amorim tho? I can only see them as 10s I can’t imagine them as WB.
Merry christmas everyone hopefully the new year brings wins and a bit of hope for the future 8)
Edserson is good. Profile on Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart?
Steve would you sign Victor Osimhen and do you think he would be a good fit for Amorim's style of play
In your fantasies..,
Ederson not a chance Atalanta don’t need to sell
We've spent 600m more than man city since 2014 I heard. So if true that shows this idea that we can't compete financially with city is nonsense.
We need finished article too
What about Lewis Hall at Newcastle he looks unbelievable????
Given our previous form on transfers we’ll sign no one. Come 1 February everything will be as it was on 31 December.
Clubs going nowhere, Amorim's wasting his time, every time we get rid of a player we either don't replace them at all or get a worse player, bargain bin isn't getting anyone into the CL
Didier baptiste , he can play left wing back , gets up and down the pitch great engine
