While I absolutely love the player, I don't think it would be wise to spend £100M on one player when there are several areas in the squad that need addressing.
I don’t get all the son hate in the comments, yes he’s 32 but still has a hunger to win something and we’re not challenging for titles any time soon so why not. he’s someone who will help the dressing room’s professionalism and can still chip in with creativity, he’s still making goals and assist’s in a mid spurs squad, it’s not a bad singing at all on a free.
Comments like yours are a reminder that football fans forget too quickly...Joel Glazer loved signing big names even though they were 30-ish, and look what happened every time.
@ the difference is Joel glazer thought those signings would single handedly win us titles, we’re in a completely different position now and if you want to improve the standard of professionalism and sign someone on a budget who would fit in the other 10 slot it’s really not a bad shout, this isn’t Alexis Sanchez all over again just because he’s over 30. Don’t get me wrong son wouldn’t ever be my first choice, I just think the negative reaction to suggesting him is a bit over the top that’s all.
I don’t get why you are recommending wingers my guy, we play with 10s now. Maybe check out some of the following like Wirtz, Simons, Gittens, Zakharyan, Monsalve (Gremio) or Karetsas (Genk) 👍🏼
Anyone else think Lookman from Atalanta could be an option? He's developing really well over there and just won African player of the year. Probably wouldn't be the most expensive option possible as well
Cunha from Wolves: PL experience, relegation signing would mean a bargain & he’s the right profile for success right now and won’t need a resettling period
Cunha and Eze decent shouts. If wolves go down then cunha will be cheaper option but very competitive to finalise. Also Prem proven. Just unsure on workrate
I’m assuming you haven’t seen much of cunha then right? Because he’s relentless typically what you get from a play who’s played at Rb Leipzig and athletico Madrid excellent work rate
Cunha would be a better asset compared to Eze his work rate and creativity is superb, we really need a lot of creativity in this team because we're too reliant on Bruno
@@Moonmaestro11 sometimes I feel for the guy (bruno) he's literally the spark of the whole team, if he's having a bad game the whole team struggles. People talk about Saka and I completely think about Bruno difference is Bruno has no Odegard to ease the weight. Cunha would be a perfect fit a leader, work rate is perfect, creative, good attitude, wants to win games and can track back to defend. We don't need big names who will eventually disappoint us with attitude problems.
I was hoping we could get Nico Williams 2 seasons ago, (when we played them in a friendly) but thought it would never happen with us having Rashford. This is the stars aligning. 22 Years old if he can up his goals scoring at this age he is an amazing choice.
You got to put mitoma in there. Perfect for either left wing back which he played before or left sided 10. Excellent decision maker, defensively so disciplined, and got the flair as a winger as well. And most importantly a team player. He is the kind of player United need, not one of those Leao or Williams type
I don't think United should be "replacing" Marcus Rashford at all, so I'm going to disagree with a lot of this. The replacement should be going to get either a left wing back or another central attacking midfielder. This system does not need another attacking winger or left-mid. The only other thing United could really use at this point in this brand new system is another striker because right now, if Højlund gets injured or sits, there isn't anyone there, which (and I love Rashford) is worse than having Rashford.
I would not directly replace him in the Transfer market tbh. Zirkzee and Bruno and both play on the left, Hojlund and Zirkzee again can play striker, and Garnacho is the perfect super-sub for now. And FFP will make life hard for us anyway (when talking about Barcelonas financial issues as well, its ridiculous). Id say Son and Goncalves might just be the two most sensible options, but i´d argue Uniteds best bet is another young player. Bcs in the long run, its not really about who replaces marcus, as sad as it sounds, but it´s about who replaces Bruno.
Where wanting United to win. We are not a Disney drama series that we have to have narratives shoved down our throats. We need proven winners. If we sell Rashford and all the deadwood we would be free of wages and have a decent budget. I don't want anymore young players around
Wouldn't Wirtz, Musiala, Osimhen etc be an option? I'd take Son on a free but his wages would be probably be more than Rashford currently gets because no transfer is attached
I feel he’s the perfect replacement, he has this Algerian/moroccan flair, skilled 1v1, good understanding of the game, doesn’t do too much and a dead ball specialist
@@michaelbadejo4461he has the versatility as he’s able to play as one of the 10’s, as a striker or at left wing, similar to cunha who I’m surprised Ste didn’t have on the list considering most of those replacements are unrealistic
@@Moonmaestro11 his versatility is crazy, tbh he is more of the Bruno type of player but with more flare and far better in 1v1 who also has experience as a striker
A Pacey right footer who is creative and a good ball carrier who can play both LW and RAM like Cunha, Simons, Kvatratshkelia or Brahim Diaz would be my picks.
Kvara, cunha, and Mitoma I could genuinely see , but realistically ineos have said we aren’t going to be signing super star players so the likes or wirtz, leao (who I think is majorly over rated) , rodrygo etc are definitely not going to be getting signed for massive money , I like the idea of getting a couple of younger unknown players and keep building for the future we have a manager who can mould and improve youth and sticks to the ineos structure of making the next world class player rather than spending a fortune on acquiring one
Bit of a pointless video. Only Goncalves fits this system as the rest are wide players unlikely to fit in at either 10 or wing back. We don't need to replace like for like when the player we're losing doesn't fit the system. What we do is take the money and assess where we need it spent. Does it go on a left wing back, does it get spent on Gyokores in summer and JZ becomes an option at ten along with Bruno, Mount, Amad and co? Lots of questions but Rashford doesn't need directly replaced, that's for sure
Kvaratskhelia Rashford swap deal would be an insane bit of business and Rashford would probably do well in Italy as well if McSauce is anything to go by
Swap? No! Napoli answer who’s not dumb idiot! Enough will all these arrogant deluded kids whims on any Napoli players , as Osimhen or Kvaratskhelia; who’s off transfers and sure never under 100-150 Mlns. Cash., Napoli are not your cheap discount Tesco’s!
If the club's transfer funds are limited, i'd go for Son and invest in other areas of the squad this summer. That buys us time. We could then always invest in a cheaper prospect as backup to Son if funds allow.
@ColsPlaying He's 32. Where have been this last decade when nearly all 30 Yr old we have signed have not worked out. If you want a player on the decline then I have no words.
If Rashford goes in January he could be replaced by a LWB, this would mean Dalot can move over to the right and Amad can play the 10 for the rest of the season. LWB is the problem position so fill that position first even though it’s a forward that is leaving. Maybe a cheeky January offer for A. Davies before the summer scramble. Wirtz would be the ideal summer signing moving into the 10 with Amad back to RWB for the extra attacking player. Then I think Utd would have a really strong starting 11 in the 3-4-2-1 formation. Go all out for Tah and J. David in the summer as free transfers to provide cover and the bench is starting to look good as well.
We need a striker to replace rashy We got enough number 10s ( mount Bruno amad garnacho zirkzee) And got only one proper striker hojlund Who is still developing Osimehen I would go with And I wish we can bring back MASON GREENWOOD
The only thing that's a MAJOR block is that he's Citizen but Jack Grealish would fit that 1/2 space on the left to perfection..His workrate tremendously improved under Pep imo and he remains young and hugely technical. If he was at any other club other than City or Liverpool, this would have been ideal.
Considering we play with wingbacks and 10’s now, if we’re signing for the 10 then the dream would be Wirtz, but as a realistic option I’d love Lookman, basically Amad but right footed and further along in his development
I like the Son option. He could have a good link up with both Hojlund as a clear 9 or Zirkzee as 9,5 + his and Diallo could really do some press magic. get him in for a year and a half to solve fix attack while trying to find a long term solution. this deal is sound as long as the buying fee in January is reasonable
i think we should also look at rodrygo. versatile player and maybe wants to go somewhere where he can be the main man. also people forget he prefers to play on the left but plays on the right to accommodate vini. i think both player and club would be open to the move
I know he's not an exact match to Rashford's profile but her me out... Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt, he's adaptable and has a high work ethic...things we need for Amorim's era
My first thought when you started the video is “why are we looking at wingers?” I go to the comments and see everyone (mostly) is thinking the same thing. Looking for a winger in this team is like looking at Mbappe for Real. Changes how you have to play and not sure real have quite figured out how to utilise him properly. If you get money from a transfer of Rashy (which is a huge IF as he’s likely gunna go loan instead because nobody can afford him) then you buy a good LWB and/or creative 10. Pad out the squad we have. Also we need to have a year of buying multiple budget options and hope you hit 3-4. Sell what you don’t need the next year and then you can start buying luxury pieces which cost you over 50 mil. Rotation in this squad is key. Raise the floor first and consistency will come.
If this was a week ago i would of said go for someone young, Bruno amad and mount would of been first choices with garnacho and zirkzee as the backup, so bring in someone 18/19 to be Brunos long term replacement BUT with mount out and no guarantee he'll stay fit, Williams would be my first choice but will be expensive, cunha or kvaratskhelia would be more getable
My preferences ranked: 1. Kvaratskhelia 2. Williams 3. Gonçalves 4. Son X. I don’t think Leao would provide the consistency for us that we need. The other 4 would do well for us. Son’s age is a concern but he really is a brilliant footballer who actually revel at Old Trafford. The thought of sticking it to Levy & Spurs fans genuinely excites me the more I think about it 😈 Gonçalves is a lovely footballer who I believe is very underrated. Williams could be what we thought we were getting with Rashford but never got. I suspect though that the Georgian Maradona at Napoli could have the highest ceiling of this list 🤔
Simon Adingra from Brighton is the one we should be looking at. He's familiar with the Wingback system and can play LWB, RWB, LW, RW and the #10 role also. Garnacho should be the immediate Rashford replacement in the squad.
Son was my first thought and i think would be the most successful in short term (Son, Bruno, Amad would be 🔥). He would fit the new system, and he's been carrying Tottenham even after Kane's departure. I do like the Nico shootout, but i have to admit i haven't kept up on him since the Euros. Kvara and Leão, I worry, would be another Rashford situation! Plus, I'm not sure Leão would fit the system!
I’m with Adam McK on this one. I love Marcus. Hoped he’d stay on, but it’d be good for both parties. Hope he goes on and gets to plays with a smile. Easy 35 g/a player in a dominant side.
No point going out and signing an out and out winger you need a winger/10 hybrid. Someone like Xavi Simons, Arda Guler or even Jao Pedro would be better suited signings.
I'm thinking, we do not need to find a direct Rashford-type replacement necessarily with the fee we would get once he leaves. I feel we can invest it instead on a true striker that can challenge Hojlund (maybe a Gyokeres or Sesko in the high-end market, or maybe a Ferguson or Boniface in the young/midrange market), and let Amorim work his conversion magic on Zirkzee being a 10. 🤷 I see Zirkzee being suited to a 10 role in the 3421. His pressing is snappy, his linkup is good, and if he works on it he can work as a rebound scorer from behind when necessary
Gonçalves has been interesting to us way before Amorim arrived. He would be the best signing to make but that wouldn’t happen in January. Kvaratskhelia is magical though but would also be impossible to sign in January so Sonny makes sense
No 1 for me is garnacho. He's got a bright future and can be key to our team. The kid just needs some mentorship and will win the UCL or ballon dór for us in the next 3 years or so
I think someone who is truly an ambassador for the club doesn’t behave in the way he’s behaved, works far harder than Rashford does and doesn’t release this interview to the press which makes the manager’s tough job a lot tougher. I think a lot of people have been sucked in by the Rashford PR, Howson and the Paddock lot in particular. He has given us some good moments, but by and large, particularly recently, has been disappointing. He might benefit from less ‘yes men’ and people affording him excuses, and more people around him telling him to get a grip. There’s a chance he ends up like Dele Alli if he’s not careful.
Don’t know that we would get another winger seeing as we run wing backs now. I would like to see a wingback like grimaldo that’s versatile or even a hybrid player like Guler
What a weird video, as if we’d replace a winger with a winger lol, it’s obvious RA’s system doesn’t require them. The reason they are looking at getting rid of him is largely due to the fact his role doesn’t exists, so why would we bring in another LW 😂🤦🏻♂️. I’d move heaven and earth for Wirtz
I am not too keen about Son with the current injury record he's been having recently. If he was keeping fit like Salah all time, it wouldn't matter. Honestly, if we have to snap someone from Spurs - Madison or Kulusevski are more interesting in Amorim system
Goncalves for me would be perfect as he plays in the 10 but can play wide and up front if needed and has done for Sporting…he’s young and he knows Amorim plus the Portuguese connection with Dalot and Bruno behind might be perfect
Im gutted its not worked out with Rashford, but he is a LW and Amorim doesn't use LW in his system, so that position (LW) doesn't need replacing (while Amorim is manager). All the positions you suggested are LW's, maybe one of these can play the 1o, or maybe he'll be replaced with an actual 10 instead, or Gyökeres
Why would be looking to replace him with another LW? It looks to me that in Amorims system requires a left sided no 10. But we've already got Bruno, amad and mount, possibly eriksen. I honestly don't think we will replace him. We will still have Garna. Possibly buy a ST or LWB?
We should avoid trying to sign players who could transition from a winger which is a risk, rather sign players who already play behind the striker and know the duties involved
If a LW doesn't fit this system/formation we shouldn't look to replace him with a LW
100%
Thats why Son is perfect. You can play him anywhere.

If he ever leaves united.. we should be all in to take kvaratshelia from Napoli.. he is UNITED quality
This guy.
It will not be cheap
I can tell you that
While I absolutely love the player, I don't think it would be wise to spend £100M on one player when there are several areas in the squad that need addressing.
Does he fight for the Ball when not in possession ?
@LexionKing Considering he plays for Conte, he would be killed if he didn't do it. Moreover, under Spaletti, he was great at pressing.
Rodrygo from Madrid, a real statement signing.

Great shout, and wouldn't break the bank
Well, no one seems to be happy with Dalot as our LWB, so there we go. I mean, Amad plays as our RWB.
Wirtz would be my dream signing. ❤❤❤
Anyone else think Lookman from Atalanta could be an option? He's developing really well over there and just won African player of the year. Probably wouldn't be the most expensive option possible as well
son is amazing...
@@anonymous_man-5 yup and I think soon Bruno will slowly be eased out,
@@Moonmaestro11 sometimes I feel for the guy (bruno) he's literally the spark of the whole team, if he's having a bad game the whole team struggles.
@Moonmaestro11 I was meaning more of eze's workrate, im unsure onit. Cunha would be my pick for many reasons👌
Not good enough imo
If you are going Marcus thanks for some wonderful memories and the best of luck to you.
It’s a great list but they all feel unrealistic except Goncalves
I wud go for son 👍🏾 cuz he's proven n free but for rotation n I wud also buy either one of the remaining options 😊 for starter in replacing marcus
Kagawa / Mkhitaryan / Sancho were a goal involvement a game in Germany. Rashford would go there and do Lewandowski numbers if played for Bayern
Imagine we got Kvaratskhelia…that would be incredible.
Georgia Best ? ❤😂
Not get back into reality, fake deluded fantasy
In your fantasies, imagine that! 🤫🤌🏾
Napoli is not your cheap shopping Tesco’s!
@@Vesuvius081 napoli fan, I presume?
My dream signing would be Writz, but he recently signed a new contract with Bayer.
This one will never stop hurting. Really wish he would've found his form and kicked on.
What about Cunha, Joa Pedro Muani or Marmoush??
What of Marmoush for Frankfurt
Fantasy delusions…
@Vesuvius081 Yeah ok 👍
Ok as it’s the truth! Forget Napoli players! 🤫
Forget Kvaratstkhelia
Bit of a pointless video. Only Goncalves fits this system as the rest are wide players unlikely to fit in at either 10 or wing back. We don't need to replace like for like when the player we're losing doesn't fit the system. What we do is take the money and assess where we need it spent. Does it go on a left wing back, does it get spent on Gyokores in summer and JZ becomes an option at ten along with Bruno, Mount, Amad and co? Lots of questions but Rashford doesn't need directly replaced, that's for sure
Kvaratskhelia Rashford swap deal would be an insane bit of business and Rashford would probably do well in Italy as well if McSauce is anything to go by
they would want cash., maybe 20-30 m
Napoli are one of the most shrewd operators in the market. Can't see them letting him go without £100M cash.
Swap?
Suggesting Son while not suggesting Marmoush is criminal.
Son is a very good player!
Son is good replacement, if we sign him the korean fanbase gives it back, and an experienced finisher
Son will be 33 and hes in decline.. We'd need to buy a replacement for Son at the end of the season lmao
If the club's transfer funds are limited, i'd go for Son and invest in other areas of the squad this summer. That buys us time. We could then always invest in a cheaper prospect as backup to Son if funds allow.
Son is how old
Can't believe you are suggesting 32 Yr old son 😂
Why not? He’s a better player, would be on less wages and instantly comes in and improves the team
It’s crazy isn’t it
@ColsPlaying He's 32. Where have been this last decade when nearly all 30 Yr old we have signed have not worked out. If you want a player on the decline then I have no words.
@@ColsPlaying we literally signed Casemiro, Varane and Eriksen not even 3 years ago
On a free for a year would be worth the punt!
You don't have to replace him. He doesn't do anything
Just put a training cone, save the wages, same result
He does except it’s not good enough and inconsistent
If he doesn't do anything but is top scorer this season along with Bruno, that doesn't say much about everyone else in the squad.
Grow up
@@NI-ld2iu you're right, they're all shit
Son on a free is a no brainer, he's got a few years left in him time for one of our academy lads to come through.
Spurs have an option to extend his contract a year
We need a striker to replace rashy
We got enough number 10s ( mount Bruno amad garnacho zirkzee)
And got only one proper striker hojlund
Who is still developing
Osimehen I would go with
And I wish we can bring back
MASON GREENWOOD
Fantasy
The only thing that's a MAJOR block is that he's Citizen but Jack Grealish would fit that 1/2 space on the left to perfection..His workrate tremendously improved under Pep imo and he remains young and hugely technical. If he was at any other club other than City or Liverpool, this would have been ideal.
Dont think we would sign another LW...hope we get Rigg of Sunderland..cause bruno are our right footed 10 .. zirkzee are good enough back up
Considering we play with wingbacks and 10’s now, if we’re signing for the 10 then the dream would be Wirtz, but as a realistic option I’d love Lookman, basically Amad but right footed and further along in his development
Ste what do you think about kulesevski? Perfect match as a 10
He would do well and he’s already played with Amad at Atalanta.
i think we should also look at rodrygo. versatile player and maybe wants to go somewhere where he can be the main man. also people forget he prefers to play on the left but plays on the right to accommodate vini. i think both player and club would be open to the move
I know he's not an exact match to Rashford's profile but her me out...
Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt, he's adaptable and has a high work ethic...things we need for Amorim's era
Greenwood wouldve been sooooo good for the system. Hes such a perfect fit, and hes so underrated. What a shame it had to end like that...
Great show ! I would be happy with any ... But I would go For KK !!!
Eze for me 👌🏻 and I really don’t see how Leao works any better than Rashford in an Amorim system, he’s a winger and we need 10’s
If this was a week ago i would of said go for someone young, Bruno amad and mount would of been first choices with garnacho and zirkzee as the backup, so bring in someone 18/19 to be Brunos long term replacement
BUT with mount out and no guarantee he'll stay fit, Williams would be my first choice but will be expensive, cunha or kvaratskhelia would be more getable
My preferences ranked:
1. Kvaratskhelia
2. Williams
3. Gonçalves
4. Son
X. I don’t think Leao would provide the consistency for us that we need.
The other 4 would do well for us. Son’s age is a concern but he really is a brilliant footballer who actually revel at Old Trafford. The thought of sticking it to Levy & Spurs fans genuinely excites me the more I think about it 😈
Gonçalves is a lovely footballer who I believe is very underrated.
Williams could be what we thought we were getting with Rashford but never got.
I suspect though that the Georgian Maradona at Napoli could have the highest ceiling of this list 🤔
1) fantasies
Daniel Levy IS a Bond villain 😂
Sons contract is running out! Think he leaves free next summer
I see Zirkzee being suited to a 10 role in the 3421.
United are also ready for a new challenge, so perfect timing. Thank you Marcus, but we need a more committed not to mention consistent player.
No 1 for me is garnacho. He's got a bright future and can be key to our team. The kid just needs some mentorship and will win the UCL or ballon dór for us in the next 3 years or so
Leao would be perfect for the 10 role🔥🔥🔥
Bold take, Grealish
Dani olmo would fit perfectly into our system, it’s a shame he’s in barca now
Leao and Son are great shouts. I would still take Son to this day! To this day!
Just imagine a front three of N.Williams, V.Gyokeres, K.Kvaratskhelia interchanging with Garnacho, Hojland and Diallo. If only we had the money 😂
Leao would be such a Man Utd signing. On his day he looks very good, but when he doesn't fancy it he just strolls around getting his steps in.
Goncalves for me would be perfect as he plays in the 10 but can play wide and up front if needed and has done for Sporting…he’s young and he knows Amorim plus the Portuguese connection with Dalot and Bruno behind might be perfect
Interesting video mate.
Jonathan David is my choice adaptable rapid and presses with good goal involvement numbers
First time I’ve seen you in a while pal - looking good mate dropped some pounds - nice one pal x
Isak would be a good fit . An inside forward that can also play striker .
Adama lookman would fit perfectly
We should avoid trying to sign players who could transition from a winger which is a risk, rather sign players who already play behind the striker and know the duties involved
Son has a good five years left at premiership level 👍👍👍
I don't know why Eze is being so overlooked, he'd do amazing in this system
