Hi Peter, just caught up with video's 4 and 5 absolutely amazing they make our large tree's look like Shohin!!! I am very pleased that you are having a wonderful time and are able share your trip with us, thank you!!
It is advised to let your “stick” grow sort of wild at first without much trimming so as to let it develop a thicker trunk, eventually. Best to place it on the ground in a pot so that it can grow its roots into the ground and after a while you can easily detach it from the ground by cutting the extra roots.
Yes, you need that time. My first bonsai, without being really aware, since I just wanted to save a seedling from a public park and stuck it in a pot, took me about 12 years before the trunk developed and I was able to step by step trim the top of the tree
Wow what incredible trees, I would have liked to have seen the display of smaller trees that maybe the average bonsai enthusiast can aspire to own, we are in awe of the trees we wish we could own from your trees Peter, as you are in awe of these trees, we would give our right are arm to own just one of your trees as you would give your right arm to own some of the trees on show here. Thanks once again for letting us join you on your tours.
Unbelievable Bonsai- tour! Thank you for sharing it with all of us! It’s hard to imagine what it feels like to see it all live. Cheers from total winter in Finland
There is an abundance of masterly craftsmanship and wisdom (for your daily life) in this video. Absolutely incredible! Thank you Peter for taking us through this uplifting work of people.
It's nice to see trees in realistic pot volumes too. No wonder they're so healthy and vigorous growing! We see too many trees displayed on a slab of rock or a petri dish of a pot with an inch of soil and it gives people the false notion that a tree can thrive in those conditions.
Cricky Peter unbelievable, what i want to know how many did you buy. You couldn't go there without buying.Aussie Aussie Aussie GDAY MATE from brisbane Australia
I love your enthusiasm, Peter. But I have to say the bonsai in your establishment are equally fabulous!
You are too kind but no way can they compare with what I saw.

Magnificent. Looking at these I have just realised that I don't really have any bonsai, just sticks in pots. A great video.

Just give it a decade, you’ll be there in…some time!!! 🫡🫡🫡

Great content, could you please invest in some lapel microphones
If it bothers you so much why don’t you buy Peter one.. 🧐
Peter's right, those are some real masterpieces which even Qing dynasty and Edo period connoisseurs would give their right arms for.
