This actually make even more sense when you consider that stones weren't originally 'blank'. Three Bargainer statues near springs are already elementaly inclined by location, then we have one below Temple of Time related to this aspect, one uncovered and kept by Sheikah who are likely to produce new Sage of Spirit and The biggest and most important one implying being light element based.
@@MoxieWattsFood for thought: IF the bargainer is meant to be the grim reaper, and it lost its powers long ago and needs someone to bring poes to them, who was doing that job before Link? Could there be a connection between Poe collectors and bargainer statues? One final question to ponder. If Hylia became a mortal and always reincarnates as Zelda, what entities are speaking through the goddess statues in BotW and ToTk? Certainly not Hylia.
And here I thought that the Secret Stones might have been what became of Hylia's divine form after she reincarnated into a mortal being... On a different note-regarding the series timeline and potential retcons-a part of me wonders if the Zelda team is trying to depict the games themselves as being adaptations of various myths and legends suurounding Hyrule, etc., with creative liberties taken to better suit modern audiences (kind of like how William Goldman framed _The Princess Bride_ as being an abridged version of the fictional S. Morgentstern's book bearing the same name, give-or-take commentary on the nature of adaptations and such)

I don't think Hylia has anything to do with the secret stones but the bargainer being a neutral God is interesting. I'm not sure I like the idea of a singular God in the world of Zelda, the 3 golden goddesses should be the main gods of creation. I think the series has shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that Hylia protects the humans and was the appointed the guardian of the Triforce by the creators and if there's anything or any gods she opposes, then they are surely evil. So I'm going with the idea that the bargainer statue is a god of the underworld who's very strong and had to be severely weakened and my theory is... the more poes that cross over, the stronger it gets. In fact I could see this god become a future enemy in the series. "Good...Evil...that is the view of narrow minded beings" Sounds like something an evil god would say. Without morals to guide us, there is nothing but destructive chaos.
I think everything is related to the relationship between order and chaos. Good and evil, time, and creation are aspects of order. Chaos is infinite possibilities, everything all at once (instead of a timeline) in a sort of singularity. Chaos was before the beginning and in balance. The goddesses usurped chaos, but there still had to be balance. I think magic is part of that balance. I think the key to how magic functions is by using certain shapes, patterns, and symmetry, like a recipe, to draw out a particular effect from the infinite possibility of chaos. The shape and patterns of a timeshift stone draw out particular point in time. The schematics are the order that picks the possibility within zonaite. We see intricate designs on magic items and other repeating patterns wherever there is a connection to magic or the power of gods. The closer to the original chaos or the more divine something is, the more possibilities can be accessed. The triforce, for example, has so much influence over the infinite possibilities of the original chaos. The pieces have an effect individually because of the power of the goddess, but to tap into the infinite possibility of chaos it takes all three together to give chaos form, to give shape to the fourth piece. There are other things, like the way order influences the chaotic depths by reflecting the order above, or the way the plant life ,which is order, in a way all have a chaotic effect when used. I think demise was an agent of chaos, angry because the goddesses usurped the original chaos. I think the bargainers are the top level of the hierarchy, not an agent of chaos, but the god of chaos (or possibility) given form due to the balance that has to exist. (The statues aren't the actual god anymore than the hylia statues) I could go on and on but... anyway, Thank you Moxie for the great videos
I always thought that part of the "ancient great plateau " have been rised up to the sky by the sages. but I'm so confused now that you showed that the ancient great plateau has the same geography that the modern great plateau. how the temple of time is in the sky if the great plateau from the past was not rised up?
While this is very interesting, I find it more like there are multiple, as each statue refers to the others as their "brethren", meaning they are all not one, and that there is more multiples. I mainly wonder their relation to the horned statue

Man this one is so well done! Just wanted to say that at about 11 min in which is right where your theory starts is when it goes from good to great. I love it! Yes a lot is speculation but I’d say this in whole is a pretty meaty theory. You did a good job of spittin out the bones on this one lol! At 18:50 this is where it really came together for me. Especially with the whole sheikah symbolage etc. I have always thought so many odd things here and there about the sheikah but it always ends up being so all over the place I just usually keep to myself. Ust a quick intresting correlation I've just thought of, when I originally met a Barginer statue I got heavy Poe collector from OoT vibes and thinking about it the head you find on the Plateau is in a similar location to the Poe collector close to the entrance of castle town in the guard room probably nothing but intresting coincidence
Yes! this is one of the connections I made as well...the poe collector also seems to be wearing similar garb to what Link recieves from the bargainer as well!

The longer Bargainer theory, then the Zelda Lore to Sleep to, but I feel like the actual theory didnt reach that many people, and when discussing it with Dr. Wily, he said it was the length of the theory.
I think the spirits speaking through the poe statues are Zonai who used the ability mineru did but couldn't animate the statute ...... the statue favors in look to the robot mineru used
I havent exactly decided. Lorulean and I went back and forth about the possibility that they obtained powers from the statues before...or that possibly it was a cult of sorcerers...but what do you think?
You know, watching this again made me wonder… After the Golden Goddesses entrusted the Triforce under the care of Hylia, could this “dark god” also have existed to coexist away from the light only to rule the dark? The horned statue in BOTW/TOTK was claimed to be the polar opposite of Hylia, but the Bargainer appears to have a much more morality. While a sinister figure of course, but not in the context of the evil Demise and his incarnation, Ganon, unleashed upon Hyrule. It’s one of those “even the sinister has morals” forms of context. The Bargainer obviously had done such evil acts before, but its only interest is to rule the darkness where it dwells as opposed to spreading it like the Demon Kings throughout the series. This had me an idea for a future Zelda title, should Princess Zelda (in any appearance) have any involvement in Link’s next journey, she’d come across this “dark god,” it would acknowledge Zelda’s bloodline of Hylia, but despite differences, its chooses to remain in the Dark rather than posing threats to the living Light. It aids her in some shape or form, but chooses to remain secluded from the light, having no interest in the struggles of the mortal world.
Just recently found your channel in recommended and subbed for vids like this. I devoured TOTK when it came out and the Barginer statue quest on the Great Plateau was my first time venturing into the depths (completely missed the robbie quest). It was so fun, spooky, and intriguing!! I had so many questions after the quest!
Now with the games out on NSO (and me almost done with them again) I really hope the oracle games somehow have some relation to the rest of the timeline. I highly doubt it but at least the general public will be more able to experience those games

The series has always been meta. We killed Ganondorf and saw the King of hyrule sacrifice himself to die one of the worst deaths imaginable to sacrifice himself for the next generation at like 8 years old.
Tru this is the fourth ganondorf right? so maybe this is the last incarnation we will ever see of him. The death he dies seems pretty "official" without going into too much detail.

Another thing I want to point out is about the Interlopers… What if not all of them were banished to the Twilight Realm? What if some managed to escape capture by the Light Spirits and dwelled far into the shadows of Hyrule, learned the existence of Termina, found Majora’s Mask and became the Garo that waged war on Ikana? There have been so many theories and speculations about Termina’s connection to the Interlopers, but the more I think about it, the more plausible the connection becomes. The Interlopers were banished with the stone mask of the Fused Shadows into the Twilight Realm (or rather what was left of it; Faron, Eldin, and Lanayru guarded the remaining pieces since then until the Twilight Invasion). The imp in the Terminan legend was said to have “returned to the heavens” (possibly a metaphor for Hyrule), its evil manifested into a mask, wielded by a tribe for its hexing rituals (most likely the Garo), the Garo must’ve used it to wage war against Ikana, but the evil was too great to be controlled, so it unleashed a catastrophe upon Ikana beyond healing, Ikana in ruins and the Garo devastated, it was sealed away within the doors of Stone Tower to prevent its misuse, the Mask Salesman went through seemingly impossible lengths to obtain it, but the second he found it, he can already sense the dread from it, so he took it upon himself to conceal it until the Skull Kid stole it from him. That’s how the speculation goes, but the evidence remains sparse. All the more reason I feel that the Child Timeline (kinda) remains unfilled. Nintendo may not go this direction again. However, the retired art director of Majora’s Mask, Takaya Imamura, said he wanted to make “one more strange” Zelda title similar in the lines of Majora’s Mask, so that’s not out of the realm of possibility. But from things stand now, it’s unlikely…

yes! Kami are usually too large to contain all within one person/statue/object. Just like how Zelda is Hylia--Hylia is also the statues as well.
