Are the new wheels the same diameter as the old one's? They looked a little bit small and that may have taken up some of your gearing adjustment and not given you the speed you excepted? Just my 2¢🤷
Limitless spur, that will definitely get you up there. I have a stretched Typhon 6S, got a Limitless spur in it, 34T. Running 1:1 gearing on 4S & a hobbywing 2200kv motor, xlx2, I hit 89mph. I now have the Castle 1721 2400kv motor coming in today
I just installed my hobby wing max 8 2200 kv combo for my next speed run while I didn’t get the limitless spur I will be going going down to 46 so I’m hoping it will go past 85 and I will be happy for now 👍🏻
@@Joercgarage if you have an android phone, there's an awesome app that lets you calculate gearing speed. I have tried many & this one is by far the best. It's called 'RC Speed'. This one will compensate for voltage sag, factor in your tire size & differential gears along with the efficiency factor. So for instance, I ran your info into it quickly & with a 2200kv running on 6S, 46T spur, a 26T pinion, GRP's & a 3.308 diff gearing @ 75% efficiency, the theoretical speed will be 73mph with a max of 97mph at 100% efficiency. In my experience, my runs will be slightly above the 75% efficiency. This all comes down to the car setup...battery, gear meshing, bearings (quality ceramic), balancing of tires & drag of body. The batteries & bearings are a huge factor. Right now, afrer testing many batteries, I have settled with CNHL G+Plus series, even more over their more expensive Speedrun Pack series. You can get that puppy easily over 100mph with a 29T spur & a ~34T pinion on 6S 😄. Have fun & keep'm fast! 😎👍

Yes they are the same size front and rear I’m not sure about the size but they are the grp gtk01-s5 medium they are awesome street/speed run tires checkout out my latest speed run video new pb super happy with these tires.
Nice for now I still have the spectrum 2050kv 6s and I just bought the 46t spur so I think I will now get 85 mph with the 26/46 after that max 8 here we come 😜

What does stretching it do? I feel like u can hit those speeds without doing that and just changing gears

I only used them for speed runs and a very short amount of time but I don’t recall any rubbing…

I like both for the speed runs both are fine but I got the grp for a better price so I went with those cant go wrong with either
