Najee Harris is the only Steeler to rush for over 1,000 in his first 3 seasons.
The upswing is that the Offensive Line is getting better!
Honestly, ever since i heard about Najee losing weight, it makes me think of the LeVeon Bell interview with Cam Heyward and cutting weight was something that LeVeon had suggested for Najee bc he said when he did it, he felt that he could make cuts more quickly and he felt lighter on his feet. Don't know if that actually played a part, but it's definitely interesting.

I wanted to see Najee lose some weight heading into year 2. Felt like he almost put on more muscle over the years, which serves him well in ways, but the speed just hasn’t been there. Excited to hear this. Rly think a slimmer Najee could be different.
I think so too especially bc the added weight didn’t really seem to help when facing the harder hitters and he’d get hurt anyway
I would’ve paid Najee a 5 year 24 million contract with a 6th option of 1 mil. It can both guarantee and incentive based. Then you can draft a guy like kaytron Allen out of PSU who is in the mold of a Najee who can play behind Najee and Warren and be a great triplet of RB’s who can destroy the line of scrimmage. Plus by the time kaytron is able to get a deal Najee is making pennies on the dollar. Do a 1st year at 9, 2nd at 7, 3rd at 5, 4th year at 2 5th and 6th at a 1 mil each. You get a RB for 6 years at only 25 mil at most. Obviously it’s not all guaranteed. Plus the last 3 years is only a combined 4 mil. He’s be 34 and able to walk away if he wanted with not ever having to move. You got 10 years made millions and a place you can call home. Hopefully be a HOF one day.
When Harris has a great year this year, pay close attention to how he runs the ball, and I mean literally watch his legs, or watch him in college, and tell me if you agree he has the tools but might only play to his own standards and when he thinks they can win?
