Another high-end camera phone battle between the new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Google Pixel 8 Pro! Although there's a year difference, 2023 versus 2024 bones are actually separated by just few months. Pixel 8 Pro was released and the 2023 and S24 Ultra to start this year. Today we're shooting both indoors and outdoors and you will see a lot of blue sky because although it is still snowing in Canada but the weather is getting warmer and warmer, we are also taking pictures off people colorful things and flowers!

I had access to an S24 Ultra and took some comparison shots with it and my Pixel 8 Pro. I'd stay there, upload both results to so that they could be viewed on the same device. I found that my Pixel 8 Pro was taking pictures whose brightness and color were not accurate to what I could actually see with the naked eye. The Ultra did not gwt it 100% of the time either, but the brightness and color were closer to what I was seeing in front of me. I even tried wiping all the data from the Pixel camera app and trying again only to get the same results.
I always like pixel image quality and video quality ,there is a slight warmer yellowish tone on all photo and video from samsung .
Google Pixel 8 pro is far better in photos
Pixel picture processing is amazing. Samsung really need to hire someone good

I don't think a better exposed photo or video is way better. In a more professional look, P8 Pro's output are way better. Too bright photos and video doesn't seem so realistic anymore. Professional camera don't make the night into day.😉

Love both these devices. They are as good as Android gets. I feel that Google needs to step up it's low light video performance though, as the Pixel 8 Pro really falls behind in this one key area.

@@michaelbrown5680 They certainly have. I really like the contrast levels especially in the Pixel 8 Pro's daytime video.
It's ironic because Pixels invented the night mode. But anyway I think the problem is the Samsung sensor. The Sony sensor in the pixel 7a produces better low light photos. Makes me think there is a chance that the Pixel 8a will be better than the 8 Pro.

Hate the yellowish hue for all Samsung pictures. Also hate the fact that on the Samsung regular 1X main camera, the picture comes out too wide like an ultra wide. Seems like every object is stretched out too far.
It's otherway around. It looks awesome with the warmer touch on samsung photos. Pixel images look pale, bland and cooler.

Generally, I prefer the google image processing, but not in this comparison. It really falls behind s24u.

S24 Ultra Natural pixel brighter two phone great job
I can't understand how people can say that the Pixel 8 Pro is a good deal when the S23 Ultra exists 🤷🏽♂️, the S23 Ultra, in the North American and European markets is a much better deal than the S24 Ultra and especially the Pixel 8 Pro, and in the Asian and Indian markets, smartphones like the Vivo X100 Pro and Oppo Find X7 Pro exist.
Ps: it's hard for Pixel lovers to admit that the Pixels have been caught up and even surpassed in photo quality by most manufacturers, it's hard to accept, but that's the harsh reality.
Please help me decide... Samsung A55,,Vivo v30,, Realme 12 pro+ or Xiaomi 13T..thank you
Think a55 would be a better choice. In my opinion
Samsung s24 ultra can't be beaten, it's an all round phone
Unless it comes to price, camera performance for point and shoot, etc. S24U has Dex and a pen, yawn.

The only deal breaker for me are the action shots on any Samsung -- big oof.
Incredible letdown for the majority of people Samsung is trying to market to -- us photography nerds.
I cannot pull the trigger on this phone even though I have some crazy discounts sitting in my Samsung cart right now just waiting for me to press "purchase."
It's been between iPhone 15 pro max, OnePlus 12 for the longest -- and recently I threw the Google Pixel 8 into the mix because of the shutter speed, but I just wish we could build a smart phone like we can computers.
Each brand brings something great to the table, if you're into specifics, it's just not worth the audacious pricetag.

Gotta say, pixel's colors r better in most situations
But u know, galaxy is premium in every single way, from normal wide photos ultra wide, video to zooming
and the mic zoom in and out feature is better on galaxy, useful for people who do parties in natural places, goes to shows and love to play around with the camera app.
And the portraits, of course galaxy is the king of portraits, from skin tone to blur to edge detection, everything is almost perfect.
The warmer tone does look like minus point when comparing with pixel side by side. But hey, who's gonna buy both phones and use them at the same time and always compare side by side

You forget to active video boost.that feature make me want used pixel 8 pro. If video boost active and if the video not natural is okay for me but the important point the video shoot at night look like bright not dark.
Pixel 8 pro win because not too expensive than s24 ultra and iphone 15 pro/pro max.
Also for me 3 king phone(iphone,s series,pixel) the important point for photo and videography phone,chipset powerfull that a point plus but used only for tinder,insta,fb,maps,youtube,watch netflix etc😂😂😂,playing super aaa game for android but must pay that game for better lvl,equipment etc😂😂(you know i mean),so for me pixel 8 pro is a balanced phone so become the best phone. I own both, well I did....just returned the S24U. The Samsung is trash when it comes to photos. Just can't make the image is correct...very oversharpened and bright. Never accurate. Just didn't like the images from it. Google feels better in the hand as well. And with curent incentives, the P8P is around $400-$500 cheaper than Samsung.
You wish u had the money to buy it 😆. Social media stars who act as if they have money to buy something when u just live in a basement.
