An all time fav that Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band ... was a HUGE hit in the N.Y.C.touched many hearts & sould through out the 70's... gr8 tune underrated IMO... KEEP EM COMIN! quality share depluv2!

A lot happened in 1979 after the commercial failure of Dr.Buzzards OSB 3rd album , co founding member August Darnell focused on a couple of side projects most notably Machine for which he co-wrote the iconic ‘There But For The Grace of God Go I’ prior to reinventing himself as Kid Creole , DBOSB percussionist Armando Bonilla Jr formed Don Armando’s Second Avenue Rhumba Band with vocalist Fonda Rae and had a club hit with ‘Deputy of Love’ , Ze Records found a musical niche in what was termed Mutant Disco and their roster of artists included Was Not Was and James White and The Blacks, Cory Daye herself released her debut album which included this and the club hit ‘Pow Wow’ .
I remember playing this in my bedroom after breaking up, and getting ready to go to the clubs with my friends who insisted that I needed to go out. They were right. We had a great time. I was just getting into Rockabilly right around this time transitioning from Disco, and then later to New Wave. Bought all my clothes at thrift stores back then since I was 19 and had no money. LOL!
A few artist covered this song. My first hearing of Single Again was by Odyssey . Actually i never heard of Cory Daye wow can she sing to. Beautiful to. ❤
